  Absolutely brilliant place to eat at, only 13 euros for 3 courses which I thought was great, especially with the quality of the food that came. 8 of us were eating when I visited, and every dish that came was very good and exceeded expectations. We were here on a quiet day, so the service was fast too. The general atmosphere of the restaurant is also lovely, and the staff were friendly. The place offers a tourist menu for those who prefer to eat like home when on holiday. If your staying nearby and looking for a place to eat, i highly recommended here.   Me and my girlfriend had a lovely late lunch at this restaurant. The food was very good, I had the grilled sardines, she had the peri chicken and both of us were very happy with the food, both in terms of quality and the value. All of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way for us which I really appreciate. The restaurant decor and atmosphere were very nice too.   Booked a table for dinner as was recommended to do so. Was fairly busy. We went for the tourist fixed price menu. Started with veg soup which was basic and had no discernable flavour or seasoning. The pork chops main were better but again sauce lacked seasoning. My partner had sardines which were a good sized portion and nicely prepared. Brownie desert was good. Great for an uncomplicated inexpensive meal. Our server was friendly, sweet and fun. The customer on a nearby table holding a noisy video call with her granddaughter on the other hand tarnished the experience for many of us around her.   The street was so empty but this restaurant was full of guests. A lot of options to choose from, even for the ones who are more into meat than seafood. I had chef’s prawn, which I would like to name chef’s rice, as this is the most properly cooked rice I have ever had in the past decade and more.   Went here on our first night and we had the Cheese with honey and walnuts to start which came with a large basket of bread. Then had the fish cataplana to share which was beautifully cooked and was plenty for 2. I had the house wine which was lovely, and my partner had the local beer. It was quite quiet when we went in (quite early for European dining ) but picked up a lot before we left. The waiting staff were absolutely lovely and we felt very welcome.   Poor quality all round. There are so many nice restaurants in the area, unfortunately this isn't one of them. I can only imagine the positive reviews have been bought. Scroll through and you'll see many reviews like mine. We had fish & chips, chicken and chips, t-bone and Portugese steak. All were bland, unseasoned and unpleasant. Fish left a bad taste in the mouth and the t-bone was rubbery. We were starving but left most of our meals. A glass of the house red was disgusting so was sent back but if wasn't taken off the bill.. service unfriendly and inattentive. Don't bother!   Amazing experience, we booked on the same day for 20 people and they couldn’t have made this lunch any better! Staff were amazingly friendly and attentive even though our Portuguese wasn’t the best they were incredibly understanding and helpful!   This Eatery is playing way beyond its humble roadside setting in the restaurant stakes. The staff are such fun loving characters whom you will really get to know and love. The quality of food - especially considering the remarkable value for money, is outstanding. My wife and I eat here all year round and are always welcomed back time and time again.   Amazing food amazing value! We had the 3 course tourist menu for €12 each, I had the garlic bread, lasagna and mango mousse. My partner had vegetable soup, peri peri chicken and chocolate brownie. I ordered chips to go with my lasagne but definitely didn’t need them there was so much food! I had two large glasses of red and partner had 2 pints and it came to around €32! 10/10 would recommend!   Service was great and the place was very busy. €12 3 course tourist menu seems like a great idea and maybe we just got unlucky by ordering the Lasagna but the food really was just not nice. The chocolate brownie also is just nothing like a chocolate brownie should be. I heard tables around us saying they'd be there a few nights in a row so must be some tasty food on the menu I just don't think the Lasagna is one of those things sadly.   What was not to love about this place? From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The menu was extensive and our waiter was happy to give his recommendations. For starter we shared the garlic prawns and they were divine. I then had mixed grill with rice, again, this was flawless and my partner had the pork stuffed with brie which she loved. The whole meal (with two soft drinks) came to €40, which for the amount of food you get is a bargain. It was worth noting they also do a 3 courses for €12 and that had a lot of mains to chose from as well.   To be honest, I dont understand the good reviews. I had pork chops from the lunch menu and it was so dry, it was unedible. The creamy sauce had only cream and black pepper, no flavour. The dessert was ”creme brulee” which was most likely a not home made pudding. Prices are good, but they are good in most restaurants. And even one euro is too much if you cant eat the food.   Ate at this restaurant regularly 4 yrs ago excellent service table for 7 early doors night before last place was empty very reluctant to accommodate us but relented as long as we vacated the table before 8 this was 5.30pm. Food was excellent as always waiter (thin with glasses and a beard) very surly then following evening 5.30 again restaurant totally empty turned away 13 of us said it would mess up the kitchen preparation. Went to Shallom excellent meal and service know where I'll be going in future obviously Uzonj don't need custom and money. We are part of the soul group of 600 and recommend places to eat to each other while on the island !!! Sorry Uzonj off our list .   Far too long to wait, over an hour waiting for main meal. Was told there was an issue with the grill which caused delays, but no one told us this until we complained. They should've asked if we wanted to change our order to something not on the grill, or given us bread or anything to eat while waiting, no discount on the bill either. If any of these things happened I would've given a better review. Need to make sure customer is happy while waiting, sometimes machines stop working, that's fine but it's not a valid excuse if you don't make up for it in some way. The 3 course menu is good value, but the food itself was only OK, not amazing. I've had better food in the area. But waiting over 1 hour for a main course is never acceptable, I really expected some discount or free drink or food. I would not come here again now.   They have a very good 11 euro plus menu, good value and the first 2 nights it was fine, the fish was nice and the soup was really nice, but if you go outside the 11 euro plus menu it seems to cause problems. Waited 20 minutes to order, I know it was busy and the staff are nice, but that is a long tome. Ordered Soup and a Tbone Steak waited a further 20 minutes and no soup. The staff were apologetic and I just went with the TBone. Do not order the TBone it was tasteles and tuff as old boots. Not knocking this restaurant, it is what it is, but my son treated me for dinner and he even left a tip, he shouldnt have done that. If anything The staff should have reduced the bill. Unfortunately I will not eat there again and as it was our third night I thought they would have done better. Pity. In this place you are only as good as your last meal and my meal wasnt good.   Very pleased with everything about this restaurant. Food was excellent from the set menu of three courses for 11.50 with plenty of options. The fish and chips from the kids menu was a huge portion and very reasonably priced. Staff all very friendly and professional. Food came out promptly.   I was with a group of 6. Their meals were lovely. However my meal came with a salad, no mention of dressing and when it came with balsamic vinegar, I asked for the salad to be replaced. After about 10 minutes a new plate arrived. The chicken was cold and again after about 5-10 minutes replaced. Chicken and sauce was again cold. Advised them no longer wanted to eat as the rest of my party had nearly finished. When the waiter took the second plate away, I could see the Chef getting angry. I walked up to him and he said the chicken was hot and nothing wrong with it. I suggested he try it. It wasn't even luke warm it was cold. He refused. After another 5-10 minutes another plate was brought to me despite me asking for no meal and it to be taken off the bill. We then had to wait ages for the bill.   Wonderful restaurant with genuine friendly staff. All the meals were delicious and well proportioned. I had sea bass on one day and salmon on another and was very happy with both meals. To top it off the meals and additional drinks were all very fairly priced.   Oh WOW !!!! What an amazing place! It was recommended to us and I'm so pleased that we had lunch there. We chose from the set menu and had garlic bread, sea bass and a raspberry mousse.   Coming from the greater New York area and being a seasoned world traveler, I have never been insulted by a restaurant manager.... ever. The food was generally just Ok... certainly not outstanding, as was by reported by Google. My husband ordered the bacalau, which we've had before, and is indeed a typically salty dish, but this was way over the top heavy handed. We told the waiter, but instead of making a customer happy and making good, the manager dug in his heels and insulted us. Whether he agreed with us or not, customer service was not his priority. Not only did we not stay for coffee, dessert and after dinner drinks, but I felt it my duty to write my first EVER negative review anywhere! There are SO many wonderful restaurants to choose from in this area of Albufeira, do NOT waste your time or money here. As it was we dropped over 90 Euro. The meal left a bad taste in all four of our mouths as we walked out due to this one guy's shortsightedness!   Fantastic food at reasonable pricing! The atmosphere and service is fantastic. Marianna is very warm and welcoming as is the other staff. For great food go to Uzonj.   2nd night for our party of 10. Again - everything was brilliant, especially for only 10 Euros from the Tourist menu. Thumbs up for: Chicken and mushroom Fish and chips Meat lasagne Sea Bass Tagliatelle Fast but friendly service, more than decent prices, nice decor, busy but never feeling overcrowded.   10 euro for a 3 course meal that's dedicated to tourists? Not only is that a bargain but the staff were lovely as well. Being so close to old town I was amazed at how cheap it was, even for the rest of the menu, plus the quality was amazing.   Went away to Portugal with 9 friends for a hen do, and chose to eat here on our last night. The restaurant staff could not have been any more accommodating, they were simply amazing! We ordered jugs of Sangria and they kept coming round the table to fill them up! The food was delicious and all of the meals came out hot, and fresh.   Lovely clean restaurant, very friendly staff, well spoken in both English and Portuguese. Dropped my room key less than a meter away and a waitress came over to pick up and made a joke with us. food portions were very good, we had soup and mushroom gratin to start, both reasonably sized. followed by salmon and the bbq ribs. both very nice, large portions, bbq sauce was slightly too tangy. puddings we had brownies with ice cream again very nice. very well priced, portions were really good and staff very friendly. would recommend.   My wife and two children (4 & 6) had a lovely meal here wife had prawns myself the pepper steak. Was recommended a nice bottle of wine. Kids enjoyed their burgers. All staff spoke good English so all in all an excellent evening.   This place caught my attention after passing by several times and decided to give it a try. The waitress ( maybe owner?) was very friendly and guided us to the table. The prices here are pretty good especially if you want to choose the 3 course prix fix menu for 10€ ( it’s a steal ) We ordered a la carte few dishes and it was more average. Nothing was really standing out neither the starter nor the dessert. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t bad it was just average. Recommend it if you are nearby and don’t want to overspend.   Friendliest staff I have ever seen in a restaurant! They were incredible. The lady at the door sang us a song to get us in and then as she was heading home for the night, gave us a sweet, heartfelt speech about how she wanted to help us have a memorable trip.
