  Stumbled upon this restaurant as we were walking through old town. The Staff are very welcoming & polite. They had vegetarian options for the chicken & pork & spaghetti. I got the “chicken” and it was 2x soy patties. Food was delicious & house wine was very good. I would recommend the mushroom & pepper sauce, perfect to compliment your meal.   This little place is sandwiched between other larger restaurants on the main square and is in a great spot I was recommended the T-Bone Steak and it was excellent 👌 The wife had Salmon both were excellent and cooked to perfection washed down with the house red which was also very good.   We went to Buddy’s this evening after being highly recommended, the restaurant was packed , which we thought was a good sign , there was a wait on the food which we understood, about 45 minutes we had a drink while waiting ,2 adults 2 kids, 3 meals came out bar one kids meal after about 5 minutes we had to ask them only part of the meal came out ,and then had to ask again for the other part we had also asked for only certain ingredients on one of the burgers but everything came on it in that was in the menu .we just ended up scraping it off . Maybe we were just unlucky as it was busy there .   The 4 of us went to this restaurant. 3 out of 4 were disappointed. One of us had the salmon, it was flavourless. I had chicken with breadcrumbs, it looked like something a child would eat from the oven. Could get a better meal having frozen chicken goujons from Tesco. Another had shrimp and monkfish skewer, and the prawns were not deshelled so it was a task to eat. The other one thought it was okay but is also the member of the group with the least brain capacity, so who can take what he says seriously.   After a long day walking the coastline of Albufeira we settled in here for some evening sustenance. Amidst a plethora of other 'steakhouses' although admittedly given the time of year many were closed or under heavy renovations for the Summer, this place was busy when we started, large gas lamps gave a warmth to the otherwise chilly March evening on the Algarve. A good selection of food and drink and not as pricey as you might think given the location, certainly compared to others we had perused the menus of. A tad dissapointed that the Calamari looked like those frozen packet of Youngs we can buy at home, didn't seem fresh from the ocean and hand battered (not that it was advertised as such mind) given the proximity to the marina perhaps we had expected more. Steak was well cooked (not well done) and whilst we didn't partake of the alcoholic drinks there was a good range on offer.   My boyfriend and I came here on whim hoping it would be nice as you can never tell abroad which restaurants are terrible and which are good when they are right next to each other…it didn’t disappoint. I am from NY and the presence of put man Vas calling you in and explaining the menu reminds me of Mulberry Street in downtown little Italy, NYC.   It was raining and the roof started leaking. We had to ask for change ..paid 20 for 12 euro drinks. Only gave us 3 change. Had to ask again and it was amended. Waiting around alot.   We found this restaurant via fourSquare and the reviews had led me to feel this was going to be a good experience. Unfortunately this was not the case and we had to wait 35 minutes for our food. This was not ideal and a bit bizzare given there was hardly anyone in the restaurant... A sweet old lady said we had been waiting ages for our food which was a bit comical but not as comical as the microwave chips that came out. It’s fair to say we waited a very long time for food that was cold, the waitress was very unapologetic and we had to repeat our orders to them so that they could go back in the kitchen and check everything was in order. The bill was expensive so we naturally wanted to split this between each person but were told we couldn’t do this unless we spent a minimum of £10. We weren’t impressed with the customer service, quality of food or the general vibe and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who cares about customer values. Hope you enjoy your holiday in Albafeira , you might enjoy it a bit more if you avoid this place.   Absolutely awful. The service - I mean, I was better off going into the kitchen myself and cooking the food. It took them 40 minutes after ordering to bring the food out only to find that it tasted horrendous. Went to pay the bill and tried to split it only to be told there was a minimum spend of 10 euros. The waiter wasn’t apologetic for the wait and insisted this was normal also said “what can I do” in a very rude way repeatedly. Would not recommend hence the 1*.   I have been going here at lunchtimes each time I visit Albufeira which is generally twice a year. The staff are excellent, the menu extensive with dishes to suit people from many different countries and the atmosphere very good. Would recommend without hesitation.
