  Amazing restaurant. Delicious meals (and I'm picky, I lived in India), super attentive and sweet staff, and super nice presentation of the dishes. I got my curry served over a candle and holder to keepit warm. I think I never had that. Food was also plenty, I could only finish half of it and took the rest for take away. The quality of food is superb, the service from these young men is friendly, helpful and professional.   I had an amazing meal the other evening, the food was fantastic and the service was really good. A lovely air-conditioned restaurant with a large menu. I had the Goan Prawn curry and it was delicious. The portions were large and great prices. You even get a complimentary drink at the end, port or brandy.   Now I’m abit of a curry expert, having visited several around the uk and abroad. The service was slow, which I didn’t mind as was in no rush, and I don’t particularly like it when they try and usher you out, place was empty but it was early. I ordered a jalfrezi with pilau rice, it was bland and tasted like a weak masala no spice or hotness to it atall. The chicken was tasteless although they were quite big chunks couldn’t really taste it. No chunks of pepper or onion which the dish is built around. So basically in a nut shell there is better. Another table for two beside us had been there for ten mins before us. 2 hours in total passes and they complain and cancel their food. Rude waiter brings it out anyway. They get complimentary drinks and a half price meal. We get offered nothing and our food is still not there. I go to say something and the food arrives. Chicken tikka is not authentic chicken tikka cooked in a tandoor. Curry tastes greasy and underseasoned /spiced. We’re not asked how the food was, not were we apologised to for the wait.   We had a dinner here 2 days ago. Unfortunately our experience was not good. We ate Indian food in Lisbon for 2 days in a row and everything was very good. Cons: 1. My chicken is spicy but the taste is not good. 2. My partner chicken is too sweet. We taste more the milk and sweet instead of the mango. 3. The rice is too dry. 4.   We wandered into this gem of a restaurant when we were unsure of what we would like to eat. The waiter who met us was so helpful and allowed us to sit outside for our starter and to have our main course inside. The food was delicious with the onion bhaji and poppadums being served with no delay, and the main course was beautiful and advice given by our waiter making sure that we only ordered what we could eat as the portions were more than ample.   This site is crazy! This was by far the wost experience I ever had in a restaurant. Just after getting our table, we started seeing insects running around the table. The staff offered us a new one and we decided to give them a second chance! After having dinner we got a Ginja shots and then was when I was about to drink two little cockroach that where floating inside the shot. It was so disgusting! And I could not believe what I was seeing. Can’t understand how this place has 5 stars, it is absolutely impossible!   The worst place I have even been to. When we ordered the food and we were waiting we found a cockroach on the table, we were about to leave but then the waiter offered another table and said sorry and we accepted (awful mistake). Once we ate our food we were drinking our shots and there were TWO small dead cokcraches inside one of the shots.   Today we went to the Spice Lounge together with our two kids (3 and 1 years of age). Our first impression was very good! Everything is very clean and the two guys working there were very friendly and also had a focus on entertaining the kids. So far so good!   This restaurant is just at the edge of the boisterous bar scene in old town. We new we were in a good Indian restaurant because it was full of Brits. The staff were friendly and talkative.
