  What a disappointment... Did I miss something? Based on the reviews and the price..the food should have been amazing. Was not impressed in the least. Had the risotto..not very tasty..yet such a wonderful small portion accompanied by a price that implied the quality would leave me yearning for more. Not the case.   Quite possibly the worst Italian I've ever had. Focaccia is just cheese pizza, not focaccia. Truffle tagliatelle was watery with dry flavorless truffle shavings. Bolognese sauce somehow had no tomato in it. Calzone was decent but had a weirdly spicy arugula on it. For nearly 70€ I expected much much better. Service was great though. And fast.   I've been here a couple of times, and I adore it each time. The food is delicious and I would definitely recommend the white wine sangria.   We are foodies. Prior to this vacation we have never eaten at the same restaurant more than once on a trip as we always want to have as many different experiences as possible. We had dinner at Bellavita 3 times in the 5 days we spent in Albufeira. The food is absolutely incredible. The service is fantastic and Carlos in particular is so engaging, funny, and friendly he really made the experience extra memorable for us each night.   It was somewhat underwhelming following the reviews. I had picked the restaurant for the gluten free options, but there is no pasta or pizza available. Also lacked vegetarian gluten free options. For us it was below average in the food department but the staff were great.   Really enjoyed our meal out last night at Bella Vita. We were there pretty early as had our 3 year old so had the place to ourselves! Sat outside and has a lovely view of the sea. I had a Bolognese Tagliatelle which was really good and a tiramisu which was amazing! Big kids portions, my little boy had a Bolognese and it was a big bowl. Our hotel was located near by but without searching for gluten-free restaurants we would’ve never come here just due to the fact it’s right at a roundabout . We are very glad we discovered this gem. Drinks aren't great compared to other restaurants in the area, and food is nice but not wow!   The restaurant is very nicely located with ocean view. The menu is rich. We have been eating at Bellavita four times in one week for dinner and had always another meals. Every single one was just delicious. One of our favorites was the tuna Tatar. The pizzas are just perfect. But also the cocktails are very very good. I think it is absolutely worth to visit this restaurant. Only suggestion is that the some of the staff could smile more! We would definitely come back!   Disappointing evening overall. The fried calamari and shrimp were adequate but less then I expected. The tagliatelle Bolognese was quite tasty but suffered a little from too much salt and too little other seasoning. My friend's lasagna was bland, another diner's vegetables were cold. The house Beyra was good, but our first bottle of Nero D"Avola may have been improperly stored - it was warm and on the verge of going bad but not quite bad enough to send back. The lemon curd tart with merengue was just okay. The loud sound levels inside detracted from the ambiance, due to the lack of soft surfaces. I think they were understaffed as the servers seemed eager to please, although splitting the bill was a nightmare, the poor man had to ask each of us what we had and work it out on his phone. Ordered the Steak, it was the best steak we had ever tasted. For Vegetarians they have amazing options, staff is also helpful while choosing. Real True Italian Cuisine.   Very good Italian place! Booked a table in the same day, early and had no trouble booking. I really liked it. Later I called and asked if I could add more seats and even with the person saying that it was busy and was going to do his best, when I arrived my all the seats I asked for I had.   We had Pizza for take away and went to the Bellavita on two different days. The staff was always very friendly and we didn't had to wait too long (~ 10-15 Minutes). The menue offers a lot of variety and the restaurant itself seemed to be clean and modern.
