  One of the best places to dine and watch the sun go down, we ate there twice on our visit to Portugal. The Espresso Martini's are excellent. We always try house wine and have to say it was great the wife loves the rose wine. Food wise, again excellent from oysters to peppered steak can't fault it. Certainly would go back anytime.   My son dined here on the afternoon of Oct. 3rd 2023 with friends. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the customer service was less than desirable. Both servers they interacted with were curt and unwelcoming. For example, my son asked to order something off the kids menu, mind you he is 16 - so 4 years too old, and was quickly rebuked for the question and asked, " Are you not able to read." Perhaps I am comparing this experience to the 99% of our other experiences traveling throughout Portugal where the customer service is always extremely friendly and personalized therefore negatively judging this one comparison.   Wonderful evening here for a birthday. We had a group of 14, and the waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful and patient. Despite bringing our own cakes, the staff were happy to bring them to the table with candles alight. All the food was delicious and the sunset was spectacular! Really fresh and cooked perfectly and the steaks the rest of the family had were good too. The sunset was absolutely stunning from here and the service was spot on.   I was a little bit hesitant after reading the reviews about rude staff. From our experience (lunch and dinner during different days) we did not have any issues, we were always treated kindly. The food is delicious although maybe not for all pockets. The only point to-be-improved from my experience is that I needed to stand up and going to the waiters (inside) to pay my bill.   This should be a stunning place but let down by rude over bearing staff who really need some training on how to treat their customers, staff make it feel like it’s too much hassle to take your order or infact do anything. One of our party had just turned thirteen and just wanted to fish fingers staff very rudely wouldn’t let us buy them as she was a week too old !! Shame as the food was nice when it came !   I ordered the monkfish and prawn curry which was inedible so they took it back, I ordered the salmon which was tasteless… I ate a bit of it anyway and my friend’s steak was equally bad, the fries so overdone they were brown and hard, and the watermelon lemonade remained mostly untouched. Although the staff were friendly they have no sense of proper customer service, and insisted we should pay for the first meal that could not be eaten.   To warm up on a chilly morning beach walk we stopped in to get two cappuccinos and grabbed some toast with butter for our toddler. The cappuccinos were on the bigger size and so much better than the coffee we were getting on the resort we were staying at.   Amazing fresh fish, views to beach and sea. Since the fish is from the sea and not from fish farming or pisciculture it's not cheap, but you will get the quality so it's worthy. It's really really good and the restaurant wasn't lost quality over the years. The entrance looks like a normal beach bar but then when you seat and start eating you see it's a really top quality.   We've gone here for years and although it's never been the best for food and some of the staff can be a little grumpy, we've always forgiven that for its location and views. However, this year nothing could compensate for the rudeness of the staff and the way we were spoken to. We holiday 2 or 3 times a year in that area of the Algarve and will continue to do so, but we will never set foot in there again. Ar one point stated, "well, we've been here for forty years" I would call it a miracle. Gave the place one star purely because I could not give it any. This place seriously deserves to go under now.   I adore this restaurant for the views, the subset, the bubbles and the food but our fourth visit was disappointing to say the least. Service was terrible, sat for ages no desserts suggested or drinks. Sat for at least an hour with no one coming to ask if we wanted anything. Wanted drinks and pudding but couldn't even ask for the bill! What a shame!!!   Unfortunately our experience was really disappointing. We went there for dinner when it opened and they didn’t have 3 of the items we wanted on the menu. For such a small menu that was already pretty weird. Then our food came and the rice and clams were luke warm at best. The tomato salad was just tomatoes and onion with no dressing. Our sea bream was also bland. The waiter seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Shame cause we’ve seen great reviews but our experience was really bad. The view was beautiful though.   Something must have happened for the worse. We have been to this place before and it has always been good. This time not a single thing was right with the food, stale dry fish, potatoes like charcoal, soggy vegetables. Same thing with neighbor table and probably more judging on the faces and lack of tips from others. We told the staff who gave us some discount on the bill, only thing that saves them from a 1/5.   It is pure daylight robbery. I don't know where they pulled the chef out of but he couldn't be an actual chef. I never had just plain no flavor in such basic food.   I usually don't give bad reviews online but I cannot persuade myself not to do so for this restaurant. I don't want other ppl having the same bad experience. THEY ARE SCAM!!! 1) our bill was charged 1 extra glass of wine and 1 extra cup of coffee, which we never ordered. Luckily, we found it out and asked them to remove. 2) They charged tax separately from the price shown on menu. I understand tax would apply, but no one told us their menu price is not including tax. We have tried several other restaurants in the area and this restaurant is the only one telling us their price is not including tax. They should make it clear before ppl starting to order. I hate restaurant tried to overcharge tourist. To be honest, we don't find their food any special. Only the view is ok as it's right next to the beach. Eu odeio restaurante que tentou cobrar demais do turista. Para ser sincero, não achamos a comida deles especial. Apenas a vista é boa, pois fica bem ao lado da praia.

  We will struggle to go back despite this being a favourite for many years. 2 trips in different months of 2023 and both times we found the food quality has gone way down, the menu options have changed and the prices have gone up. The lady manager/owner's attitude was awful. Literally the one and only single thing that this restaurant has going for it is the beach view.... which is just spectacular for sunsets.   Went alone, wanted a table facing the sea, wasn't available where I could see 3 tables available with no reservation. The waiter told me it was for 4 ppl, fair enough. Although I wanted to wait for a table for 2 outside they rushed me to sit inside. Menu is far too expensive. Ordered sardines, didn't even put bread on the table, service not that friendly(prob because I was alone), waited 5 minutes to get my change, got to a point where I started to think they took it as a tip.
