  50 Euro for a steak, vegetables and house wine, literally none of it extraordinary for this price. The steak was tough, the prawns pathetic for the additional cost, the wine... no words. Add to this unfortunate experience, Monica's adds their own tip! As the customer I feel I get to decide if I'm going to pay extra for good service. Honestly if you're willing to spend this amount on a steak, go to U & Co, down the road, get an outstanding steak with excellent service for a comparable price. I came to Monica's on a recommendation, walking away disappointed and certainly will not be recommending to anyone.   Aaaabsolutely favourite place we went on our whole holiday in the Algarve. The vibe was stunning, the service was genuinely outstanding. We loved the family feel and the food was delicious.   This place is really overrated by many British Fans !!! We went there and had really a very nice service with a very friendly staff but the food was below what we expected--- therefore the price was on a high level.   Have been here the last 3 times we have been to the Algarve. Nice to see the same consistent standard of food and service still remains. Very family friendly restaurant with a small play area for little ones. The tapas starters are a fantastic option. Look forward to returning again soon.   Very friendly and accommodating restaurant with it's own style. The food was outstanding and so was the service. Chef and front of house remembered my partner is vegan and made recommendations and a special platter for her. That and my fish of the day main were super along with all the other little touches.
