  Dropped in just about lunch time and sat on a comfy sofa on the decking overlooking the sea to watch the world go by. Had a lovely mocktail which was perfect on a sunny day and a small snack of calamari. The waiter's and waitresses were very freindly and helpful.   This place was amazing! We want one evening around sunset and had some wine on the terrace. Staff and vibes were so good we decided to stay for dinner. It was great, especially considering we do not eat seafood. Vegetable curry, spaghetti bolognese, vegetable soup, coleslaw, sweet potato fries…. Everything was perfect and priced fairly.   Walked in on an unexpectedly busy Sunday night in October but still got seated at a lovely table for two overlooking the beach as the sun was going down. We both had the salmon fillet with new potatoes and sautéed vegetables with a nice bottle of Sauvignon blanc and lemon meringue and apple crumble to follow. I never bother to post reviews but I can honestly say it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had and easily the best during our holiday. We even cancelled our reservation in Faro so we can go back again on our last night! Congratulations to all the team at Izzy’s for providing such an enjoyable experience for us on our first visit to Portugal. Your cocktails are amazing too by the way!   I spent the afternoon here today with my husband and we had a wonderful time. The food was brilliant and the band really added to the atmosphere. I don't know how the owners manage to find so many brilliant staff, they were all so nice and helpful, especially the young lady serving us. Wonderful time all round. Would recommend to everyone.   Great helpful smiley staff. Best pla e to see spectacular sunset with your evening meal. Fish is what they do best. Simple grilled and not messed about. A bit pricey but it's the whole food,location package you pay for. I'd recommend doing it for a relaxing lunch or dinner.   Service was only ok… no issues but didn’t feel overly looked after at all Stunning views of sea but to get one of the tables near the window or outside you need to reserve. Although we were told that and the table sat empty for our entire meal. Food was again ok. Nice enough but not the best sea food in area.   I would have liked to be looked after a bit quicker even if the hardworkibg staff was busy but I liked what I was served exczpt the mayonnaise on top of my avocado as it would be better on the side for people who don t like mayonnaise.   Very loud drunk people singing but it was 5.30pm and they don’t stop serving, they gave us a table away from the loud group that was very much appreciated. Rather than our own experience (and that of and elderly couple who has to move table for exactly the same reason) the place it’s fantastic. The fish veeeery fresh and the views and staff amazing.   Great beach restaurant - have been many times! The starter shrimp with garlic is fabulous and the fresh fish choices are great as well (they will filet them for you, just ask).   Beautiful location. Settled on the beach front. The starter, which was the bread, salmon pate, buttered carrots, and olives was absolutely delicious. Sadly, the cheeseburger didn't follow through especially at €16. I'd suggest trying the fish as it certainly delivers in the algarve. Service was great though.   Undercooked steak really weird meat, staff couldn't be bothered when told about a well done steak being served rare too busy pampering some guests whilst ignoring others - expensive and sub standard.   Visited twice in the past fortnight and had two very pleasant experiences. If I was to review each I'd give the first visit FIVE stars. Food was excellent, service very good and overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience, with a wide choice of cocktails to choose from. We only booked the table in the morning and were pleasently surprised they were able to fit us in. Our second visit was not quite as good - THREE stars - the food was still very good, but service was a little disappointing - forgotten items we'd ordered, never offered a dessert menu and a little slow overall. The setting overlooking the sea and beach is a dream and you could spend many an afternoon lapping up the sun.   Really loved this restaurant for lunch. One of our best lunches during our stay in the area. We both had the grilled squid and a couple drinks while our kid had the salmon from the kids menu. This was a huge portion which I also got to enjoy. All the food was amazing and it was about $75 for all of it. The view from anywhere in the restaurant is amazing and it is well sheltered from the wind. We also had some great live music on the day we were there. It was more busy than we have seen other locations over the past week (Thursday in late June) but we had no trouble getting a table.   Dining at Izzy's overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean was the last evening meal of our 10 day stay in the Algarve. It was also the best of some excellent meals we've had. The views, the service, the food and the sunset represented a magical and heady cocktail of peace and tranquility. Full marks to all the staff from the kitchen through to the table service. The atmosphere and style is laid back but high quality. A meal of grilled fresh sardines and monkfish in tomato and vegetable rice washed down with 2 bottles of refreshing Alvarhinho Vinho Verde left us perfectly relaxed and sated.   After having my birthday meal on Saturday evening, my husband and son were eating a seafood cataplana, we all got so ill and it lasted for 10 days. It is the restaurants responsibility to handle food in a safe manner and this was not met. We still feel the effects of the food poisoning, and I have to take my son to the hospital because he is not getting better. I don’t write reviews very often because in any good restaurant, as a minimum you get asked by the staff how was the food. Yes the booking was for 4:30 and last of the lunch service, but I must say if you can’t give your customer the same level of energy and attentiveness at the end of service as you can at the start, simply stop serving, close the kitchen earlier!   We were very happy with this beach restaurant having previously visited twice and being unlucky due to winds and heat. However, I have little to complain about with the food and the service. We very much enjoyed our courses and the service was very friendly and professional throughout, despite the slightly short gaps between courses. The only things which hold me back from 5 stars is the lack of choice on the menu; we found that even though there were many courses, they were sometimes similar or lacked imagination, which we would love to see more of to beat out competition of beach restaurants around the area. A quick recommendation: try and get to the restaurant for a 1900-1945 reservation to watch the sun go down; it's really quite spectacular.   The service was good but my wife and I both had a salad, one with prawns and one with squid. The salad consisted of onions, tomato and cut salad from the wholesaler. The prawns had been frozen and the squid came from a tin. For an expensive restaurant on the beach where we paid €15 for a salad of this calibre is disgraceful. I am a chef and know the difference although the waiter told me that the squid did not come from a tin and was but was as if he was not sure. Bit of a shame.   Great location, mediocre food. Don't believe the package holiday apologists saying it's the place to go in the area - yes the view is spectacular, that doesn't justify €10 for 6 frozen mozzarella sticks. Or excuse €10 for rubbery, over-battered calamari. Fresh grilled fish was ok if a bit underseasoned, side orders were soggy and lifeless - not sure why the "famous" lemon cream fish sauce is so famous either, tasted like watery mayo to me. Avocado prawns came drowned in Marie rose and dumped on two avo halves with the skins still on (!). I could go on, but for the sake of brevity - worth going for a cocktail at sunset, then go eat at Maria's or Saudade. (Traduzido pelo Google) Ótima localização, comida medíocre.   A fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious, especially the fish which is fresh and we'll prepared. A small live band also plays music and more importantly it plays music that is not intruding while talking with family and friends, but rather a welcoming background sound. The service is also fantastic, they were very nice and efficient. Best of course was the view.   A beautiful location - we ate outside at sunset which was gorgeous if a bit windy! Inside looked very noisy and many families with young kids. The food was ok , not quite as excellent as I'd hoped for the prices. Service very good. They even brought me a blanket so I wouldn't be cold outside! Its views are stunning out across Garrao Beach to the ocean and I cant recommend enough visiting Izzys for lunch.   Hate to give it 2 out of 5, this place used to be great, but now all it is, is an overpriced restaurant. Every time we have been for the past 3 years service is very slow, food not that great and we have been incorrectly charged four times!
