  A lovely family run restaurant between Almancil and Vale do Lobo. Its been going for over 30 years. I used to go when I was a boy and now I take my son and our friends. Delicious traditional food and wine at excellent prices. Too many people now go to the new and modern restaurants but they miss out on this gem. Definitely recommend for dinner! I only gave a 3 for atmosphere because it was quiet. Its missing the buzz of families and friends chatting around the pond.   Once again a wonderful meal at Retiro! The food here is consistently great. It's always well cooked, and the service is friendly. Excellent value for money too.   What a wonderful dinner! The service was outstanding, the food was incredible (prawns for starters, "bife com molho de cogumelos" as mains, and trio algarvio for desert), and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing.
