  We had a few recommendations to do lunch at the Cheeky Pub and they were spot on. At this time of year in Quinta do Lago, sunny weather isn't guaranteed, so we were happy to beat the rain and walk in just after 2pm to a very vibrant and warm atmosphere. We ordered food and drinks, and just enjoyed the whole experience from there. Good food, beer and wine and efficient, friendly service. Thank you. We thoroughly enjoyed it.   Went for dinner on a Monday night before an event elsewhere. Seated very quickly, excellent attentive service and wonderful atmosphere. Large group of people drinking so they seated us in the quieter restaurant. Amazing burger (always good when they ask you how you want it cooked) and a stunning chicken supreme!   It is a very busy, vibrant place. The food was excellent, but there were issues with the service. We'd asked for fries as a starter, but was brought out as a side order with the main meal. We had to ask where the drinks were & they eventually came after the main meal arrived. We'd ordered linguine but NO olives...it came with olives. And we asked for a mojito, but non-alcoholic. After a couple of sips, we realised it contained alcohol! A shame really as the food was excellent! And we we're charged for the alcoholic majito!   Food was a disappointment. My burger wasn't a burger, just some mince crumbled into a bun, didn’t hold itself at all - was nothing like the burger we have had there before (they used to be lovely patties!). And our chips were the scrapings from bottom of the fryer, we didn't have one whole chip just tiny fried crumbs was very strange!! They were very short staffed so we didn’t get our drinks until an hour after we arrived. Music was excellent with the Six Irish men so we loved that bit but they started more than an hour later than promised which was a disappointment. Recommend going for drinks & music but nothing else.   A great bar and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff, as I find all Portuguese to be, are friendly and patient. It used to be a cosy pub and now it's a huge restaurant. Unfortunately it seems as though the British just come to hang out out with other British, eat British food,(and way too much of it. They don't really visit Portugal but just come to drink, get sun burnt and golf. They aren't particularly polite nor do they tip well.   Of all the places I visited for an evening meal during my holiday, this was by far the busiest, although it wasn't necessary to book a table in advance. A burger and pint came to €22.50, which is similar to what other restaurants in the area charge. I was seated in a semi-outdoor area; there was a roof overhead but the sides were open. I didn't request a non-smoking table as I assumed smoking in an enclosed area would not be allowed, but the people on the table next to me were smoking.   Lively pub with great energy! The staff was synergized on point and moving quickly for St Patrick’s day dinner. Chicken wings were the bomb!!!! The sauce was the perfect heat & delicious. The tuna poke bowl was good with seaweed salad, edamame, radish, a bit of avocado & a Small portion of tuna. We’ll be back for the wings & to try the bang bang chicken.   Great pub in a lovely area - I regularly holiday in Vale de Lobo/Quinta and The Cheeky Pup for me is the best pub around. Great staff and plenty of TV's for sport. The Guinness is actually nice which I find is a rarity abroad and the food is lovely aswell. Ill be back there in February for a pint!   We spent an evening in The Cheeky Pup while visiting Quinta do Lago as we were keen to enjoy some live music after dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I had the Bang Bang chicken followed by the Black Pork Loin and both dishes were lovely although quite sweet/rich so I probably wouldn’t order them together again. After dinner we moved inside to get closer to the band. There was plenty of space to move and we found a spot at the bar. I had 2 amaretto sours which were excellent, my partner had a espresso martini. The only negative I can give The Cheeky Pup is for some of its customers who are wealthy, impatient & rude to the staff. This is in no way a reflection on the service from my point of view.   Well what to say...this was amazing. The hosting, service, food and atmosphere. When we arrived we were advised the kitchen was a little busy and there was likely to be a delay on food but We could be seated and ordered. However the speed of the service and also the speed for the food to arrive was fantastic. We had prawns and chicken Bites to start, followed by sea bass and steak. All of which was fantastic. It was busy but that was because a football game was on. It is probably one of my favourite places fo eat in this algarve area.   Been several times, food is not bad although the prawn curry is worthless. If i were to judge it by the food alone i would probably give them 3/5 stars, but the service was horrible, specially the attitude of an english looking waitress (he might be the owner). One more negative point is that they dont do take away even though they say so in their web page, they only do take away orders when the kitchen is idle.   Great Guinesss, but not cheap at €5.50 a pint, especially as I had several. Food tonight was first class, for me it was grilled turbot which was beautiful.   Have visited here quite a few times. Everytime I have had a great experience. First time I visited last year we decided to get our evening meal. Both myself and my friend ordered fillet steaks rare. They were cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths so to speak. Having worked within the industry for most of my life and worked in renowned steak restaurants for the past ten years i definitely know a good steak when you get one. Staff are lovely and friendly and very professional even under pressure. The owner is seen to be making his rounds during most evenings and is also not shy to jump behind the ramp and give the team a helping hand.   The Cheeky Pup 🐶 is a great reliable place to go for a decent meal. Always come here on my visit to the Algarve. Both the lunch and dinner menus have a great selection. The kids menu is very much kid approved, especially the fish and chips which can in other places be very greasy but this is cooked perfectly. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. You'll always get a good meal here (hear the drinks are good too, but we only ever come for the food). The choice of seating from outside to inside is very comfortable.   Beautiful Bar in a stunning part of the world, just close enough (and far away from) the busy Vale De Lobo area. Great food all day, great live music at night and excellent service which can be very hard to come by in the Algarve.   Nice revamp of older location, food OK. We did find our food a bit soaked too much in oil. The cheese board was excellent. Popular & may need to book in main tourist season.   Great restaurant. Generous portions of delicious food. Lovely outside seating area. Friendly staff. The service for drinks was a little slow but they were very apologetic.   Absolutely brilliant night! I had an amazing lunch there earlier in the week so my group came back for dinner, drinks, and dancing. It was wild! The food was great- I had perfectly cooked tuna steak. The cocktails were whopper and the service was spot on. Then the band started and the whole place started swinging!
