  If you are ever nearby this place, I'd highly recommend it. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic and cannot emphasise that enough. Service was quick and the meals were hot, with both quality and quantity on point.   Little family run restaurant off the beaten track down a side street. Unimposing from the outside but has a secret terrace out the back. Vines climbing overhead and whitewashed walls. Very rustic and hippyish so if you like posh and immaculate stay away! If you like good music and delicious rustic food and wine you’re in for a treat. Amazing vegetarian options and fantastic value.   É um lugar fantástico para desfrutar de tapas. Certifique-se de reservar com antecedência. Música ao vivo uma vez por semana. Por ser um restaurante pequeno, alguns pratos esgotam durante a noite, por isso é melhor chegar cedo. Pessoal extremamente amigável.

  Pretty little hidden garden, and cool roof terrace we found too, accomodating for families with young children like us. Definitely need to book, it gets busy (August). Loved all the tapas we ate and the wine was good. I recommend the steak plate and prawns, my husband liked the pig cheeks bao.   A great place to visit for food and drinks if you are based in the West Algarve. The vibe and atmosphere were amazing, it felt like a secret garden, saved just for us. The cusine ways a rather successful fusion of international and Portuguese flavours, albeit without much character. We particularly liked the tuna tartare. Quesadillas were also very good. We definitely enjoyed some delicious caipirinhas. Pricing is reasonable, but portions are rather small.   Nearly didn’t make it here on our last trip as they are no longer open on a Sunday afternoon, but made it for Monday night dinner. Lovely choice of tapas, we had dates in bacon, delicious tomato and mozzarella salad, chicken enchiladas, stuffed peppers.   Extremely rude waitress. If this is a reflection of the food and service, I would not recommend. I had rang 3 hours previous to arriving and asked for a table. I was told that the last reservation was 9:30pm as they were fully booked before that. Nonetheless, we were told to arrive at 9:30 and were told there would be a table by this time. Arrived at 9:30, after not eating might I add, to be told that there was no availability for us. Waitress at the door was unbelievably rude and did not try in the slightest to accommodate us even though the entire inside restaurant was vacant. I can understand the outside “secret garden” may have been occupied but there were numerous free tables inside. She told us that there was 3 tables ahead of us and that after that, the kitchen would be closing. You’d like to think a small tapas restaurant in the fishing village of Alvor would prioritise making money during their busy summer season and accommodate guests where possible, especially when tables are empty & available.   We have been here many times over the years. Always a good experience. The setting in the vine covered courtyard is quirky and unique with it's mismatched furniture and fixtures. The food is very good but don't expect the tapas to arrive in the order that you want. Advisable to book as can be very busy especially on the nights when they have live music. Highly recommended. Ao voltar a Alvor, fui surpreendida com um lugar ainda mais encantador, com comida fantástica, atendimento espetacular e o ambiente… oh o ambiente têm mesmo de experimentar.   É só mais um local para estrangeiros, que é o que há para aí aos pontapés e que não faz falta nenhuma. O ambiente é top e a música também, o que é uma pena porque de todas as vezes que lá fui e tentei dar uma oportunidade o atendimento foi super mau, as bebidas não são grande coisa, e a comida apesar de boa e diferente, é um preço absurdo para a quantidade que vem. Entendo que é um restaurante de tapas mas acho ridículo os preços atribuídos. Senti que o pessoal que serve está sempre mal disposto, nunca olham diretamente para o cliente, e a maneira de tratar é super mal-educada, sempre a despachar. Enfim, depois de nos “expulsarem” a última vez, foi certo, nunca mais lá meti os pés. É engraçado como o staff faz toda a diferença.   I got sick after this place. Cozy bar, but not very tasty food. We ordered 6 different tapas and only liked one of them, the olives in the marinade were disgusting so we couldn't eat them. The worst thing is that all night I felt sick and vomited, I think their shrimp or fish which I ordered just for myself were bad or their sangria was of poor quality.   A friend of mine recommended this place for its delicious tapas, he was not wrong. Off the beaten path, you will find this place in a dark side street, just off of one of the main roads of Alvor. Right away we didn't get the greatest vibes from the staff, but the sign secret garden made us stay. After almost no wait we got in and the garden, very lush, looked lovely. Eventually we got the menus, after this a very young girl waited our table and she was very nice and attentive to us. The food was delicious, the bread amazing, the sauces to die for, portions to the point and a great sangria. In the end we were very happy with our choice, but at the end they site made us wait again so that we could pay and leave.   Wow what a fantastic meal ! Booked via Facebook messenger and asked for a table in the garden (just be aware of the mozzies that are unavoidable) and our table was just beautiful. Very quickly the outside was pretty much full but if you aren't bothered there seemed to be free tables inside. Great choices on the menu and staff were very helpful making suggestions. Think we had 5 tapas dishes to share between my husband and I plus a couple dishes from the kids for our 1 and 3 year old. The flaming chorizo was delicious, perhaps should have just got the small one rather than medium. Our favourite dish has to be the Melted Camembert with fried garlic, bacon and red onion jam - wow if only I could recreate that !!! O chouriço flamejante estava delicioso, talvez devesse ter comprado o pequeno em vez do médio. Nosso prato preferido é o Camembert Derretido com alho frito, bacon e geléia de cebola roxa - uau, se eu pudesse recriar isso !!! Comemos um prato de frango com pesto e tomate seco, almôndegas e patata brava. Não há espaço para o deserto, infelizmente! Altamente recomendado uma visita aqui!

  The front of this tapas bar does no justice and a photograph should be placed in the window just to let passers by know whats at the rear , a pretty ‘secret garden’ . We had a lovely meal here last week . The bread served had just been baked freshly on the premises and all 4 of us agreed how lovely it tasted .   The food and drinks are very good. The food is based on small dishes called "tapas" very tasty but you must pick a few (around three or four for two people). The outdoor space "garden" is very pleasant and the atmosphere is quite impressive, also the music (sometimes live music) is very good and blends in perfectly with the whole experience.   A very nicely laid out restaurant ambient and welcoming. The staff were very pleasant and took the time to make us feel valued. The food was unusual it seemed to be a fusion of Miiddle Eastern and Portuguese cuisine which really did not work for us. The chef unfortunately seemed to be obssessed with including a large helping of raisins in some dishes overpowering subtle flavours in other dishes. We went on a Saturday night which may have led to the situation where the Tapas dishes arrived at diifeerent times.   A fabulous little place that we would never have found without a recommendation from our rep. Plenty of choice for everyone, including vegetarians like me. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We were eventually persuaded to sit in the garden and were lent blankets so we wouldn't get cold on a cool evening. Ended up staying longer and making use of the playing cards and dominoes.   The food and service here was great. I would recommend making a booking if you need to eat at a certain time, as there were no tables for an hour and a half. We left our name and went and had a drink close by and came back. It was a Saturday night so lucky to get in at all. We had the tapas of the day (10 Euros) which included steak, mushrooms, melted cheese and bread and fried potatoes. We also had the dessert which was amazing. Recommend you try the almond pie.
