  What a find! This place is small but perfectly formed. The staff were lovely, the coffee delicious and the food outstanding. If you love your grub but like it healthy then this is the place for you. Decent size serves of fresh delightful good for you food.   I arrived in Carrapateira backpacking on the Fisherman's Trail and I found in the village only two restaurants. I chose this Microbar because it was the closest one and I got It right, because I had a good experience here. The place is small (as the name suggests) but it has a surprisingly big choice of dishes. Not only burgers and salads, but also some unconventional choices, like chicken curry or naan bread. Both the Pork Ribs I had for lunch and the Chicken curry I had for dinner weee good. Prices are ok and service is fast and friendly. The restaurant offered great range of different cuisines which was a pleasant surprise & a change from the standard fare of grilled fish offered in most of the places we had been elsewhere in Portugal.   I recently visited this restaurant and had a good experience overall. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, I was a bit disappointed with the taste of the hamburger. It lacked the flavor I was hoping for and didn't quite hit the mark for me. On the other hand, the short ribs were absolutely delicious and definitely worth trying.   Microbar used to be really good, what happened??? When I inquired they told me it was under new management. They must have got rid of all the staff and cooks. The vegan burgers we had were tastless mush and not burgers at all and the parmiggiana didn't have any parmisan in it. No cheese of any type in fact. Just semi raw aubergine in a sloppy tomato sauce. Good smoothies but the place is more a cafe and less of a kitchen or restaurant.   Staff ask to wear a mask just for one step into the inside open patio. Fair enough. I made ONE single step to get to the table and remove it.... to see what ? That NO ONE in the kitchen wear a mask !!! A joke. Lucky them we were tired but else I would’ve left... which we should have done given what we ate. For food we had burgers. I would not recommend the French one and it shouldn’t even be called a burger. Surely some good things can come out this kitchen. We have not really experienced it. Ingredients were not bad at all. Homemade limonade was good though. But guys, wear a mask !! Especially if you enforce it up to a point it can be ridiculous. Like what happened to us. And as we leave we see the cook (not wearing a mask) leaving the kitchen to walk through the entire open inside patio to have a cigarette outside... Magic ! Meanwhile we also witness a customer leaving a table in the middle of the space with no mask... to come back with a mask ... to leave with a mask ... we live a very strange period of time... Ricardo and his wife manage to create inventive dishes with loads of fresh ingredients and huge portions. The burgers are a favourite as each has a different bread (bun, pitta, brioche) and theme.
