  You will never find a more beautiful place! We discovered the O Spot after hiking and had coffee there every morning after that. We also had a couple of meals - the Golden Bream is outstanding! We enjoyed a sunset there as well. David and the entire staff were wonderful. It is a magical place, very chill and spectacularly beautiful. By far the best beach in the area.   Would be nice if the restaurant updated their google page when they are closing for 3 months for a “staff holiday.” Planned a meal here at end of long hike and google shows “open til 6p” currently.   Great place right over the beach with stunning views. If windy they might not have the umbrellas up, and it might be hot in the sun. The food was good with a fresh catch of the day as well. While you are not on the beach they might have moved some sand up there and placed seats/tables in it to make it feel like a beach which is nice, but for those difficult on the feet/less able it might be a challenge. The music is definitely aimed at younger generations but for a short meal I could live with it. Parking can be a small challenge but if the road to the restaurant is full as well as the parking zone alongside it you can park along the main road.   Came in late August with family (wife and 2 kids aged 4 & 6). Only had drinks and fries so have given 4 stars for the food as it looked pretty good on other people's tables. View is incredible and a lovely seeing under shade to sit and enjoy the day or evening sunset. However, service is very slow and unfriendly. Waited for 10 minutes for a table with almost no acknowledgement from the staff, then a further 10 to order once sat down, and then a further 15 minutes to deliver our order of 2 cans of Pepsi.   Great food, great prices, great people and a stunning location. It’s a busy place so there can be a little wait for the food to arrive but it’s completely worth it. The staff are extremely friendly and the food kept us coming back. Our personal favourites were the Grilled Salmon and the Passion Fruit and Basil smoothie which you have got to try. I’m honestly sad I’m home and I’m really going to miss it. We really loved it here and we can’t wait to be back!   My advice iis don't go . Absolutely the most chaotic restaurant I've ever been. Not exaggerating I waited for 30 minutes before I could get a waitrer to take my drinks order. Another 10 minutes we left without any food or drinks. The staff were only interested in chatting and getting new customers in . I would highly recommend you don't go out there.   Wonderful location with good (but not excellent) food. Service is a little slow, probably because it was quite crowded when I went in early spring. But you sit there and enjoy the view sipping a wine, so it's fine to wait a bit. Parking is an issue, so be prepared to walk a bit or to come very early.   This is a beachside bar/restuarant in a truely beautiful location. It has a small road leading down to what looks like a dead end. But once you get there the path then bends round to the right where the beach which is snall and secluded opens out in front of you. The best part of this location, other than the bar, is the sunset view in the evenings, they are always breath taking.   Nestled in Carvoeiro’s secluded cliffside beach “Praia de Vale Centeanes”, O Stop has all the ingredients for a memorable dining experience. We arrived for late lunch on a breezy, sunny November afternoon. The restaurant is not visible from the access road and reveals itself as you approach on the beach path. Perched between the cliffs O Stop has an open air, covered deck as well as a more protected, interior space. Every table has a sea view. The restaurant also has a very large wooden boardwalk below on the sand where the tables have umbrellas for shade. Surrounded by rugged cliffs and the sparkling Atlantic, we started with a rich rosé and a crisp vinho branco. The couvert was black and green olives and a rustic bread. The menu was more varied than the typical touristy restaurant as evidenced by the Thai steak salad. The flavors were scintillating and bright. The steak was the right cut, quality and preparation for the dish. My dining companion enjoyed a sumptuous spaghetti with clams and shrimp. Fresh seafood on offer as well. Although my companion was happy with his cafezinho, we opted out of dessert and instead enjoyed a gorgeous melosa and medronho drinks to end our meal. I highly recommend O Stop for a lazy, leisurely lunch after the tourists have gone home for the summer.   Hidden between the cliffs looking out towards the sea we stumbled upon this little restaurant and it is by far one of the best places to eat. The staff are faultless, so friendly and helpful.   Nice restaurant, a bit tired and grubby in places as it gets all the bad weather as well as the good. Beautiful fish on sale but when we ordered it the waiter announced it was 64€ for 2 of us. We did not want to pay that so had tuna steak and beef portugaise which were under 20€ each. Why a restaurant on the beach tries to sell fish at 60€ is puzzling. The food was very good and we stayed a while as it was pouring with rain. I bet it’s lovely when the sun shines.   Amazing view from the terrace, but book ahead. We managed to get a table inside the beach shack, but then sat outside on the terrace for a drink beforehand, which morphed in to a table for dinner.   As a single at a two top, I was basically ignored. Everyone around me who was either seated with me or after me had both their drink and food orders taken before me. They were busy so I was trying to be tolerant but again, I sat for almost an hour after finishing before someone finally came (I asked several people both times) - I skipped a box, dessert and another drink because I was done waiting so long.   Worst service I have seen, incredibly understaffed and inefficient, feel sorry for waiting staff, they looked visibly distressed as the owner was nowhere to be seen. Ordered a couple of beers whilst my son was sleeping in his pram, my in-laws waited 50 minutes for their drinks before going to the bar only to find them sat on the side of the bar, far from cold... the whole establishment is filled with customers looking miserable and trying their best to get the attention of the one waitress.   We came here several times when on our summer holiday nearby. It's a lovely location overlooking the beach and cliffs, and is good for a drink, snacks (burger, hot dog, toasties etc) or a meal. We came several times for a beer and once for an evening meal. The food is good, the prices reasonable, the view is fantastic (especially in the evening) and we had superb service (from Anna).   I rarely leave negative reviews but unfortunately I had a pretty disappointing meal there last night. I did not have a booking but would have rather been told they couldn’t fit me in if they were too busy. It started out well but once I had ordered and received my drink I was ignored then. It took an hour until I asked where my food was and was told it was coming, no apology, however they did bring me a complimentary glass of wine. My food arrived 15 mins after, at which stage I was starving. I have been for lunch before which was much better so I will give it another chance and hope they have more staff working. Amazing views.
