  Absolutely superb. Having moved here and tried "well rated" Indian restaurants, to great disappointment compared to the fabulous UK outlets, we gave Pashmina a try. Wow. They smashed it. This is as good as your favourite local curry house in the UK BUT in the most delightful setting! Stunning premises, beautiful garden, cosy interior, attentive service, delicious food. 100% recommended for a real, authentic curry! I forgot to take photos, I was enjoying it all too much!   My husband and I visited this restaurant on Friday 17 November 2023 while we were on holiday in Carvoeiro. We had lentil soup and a potato cake to start with - compliment of the restaurant. This was absolutely beautiful. Then we both had chicken jalfrezi, pilau rice, garlic naan and chips - mine was medium and my hubby's was hot. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal so much that we are going back again before we head home to Ireland. The guys serving us were great too. Thank you so much, your food and service was fantastic!   My wife and I both had the Pasanda curry, but I had mine made hotter and it was really good. I like the fact that each curry could be made to a specific level of spice. We had a garlic naan and some pilau rice as well and the naan has a very strong garlic flavour, which we both liked.   Tried last night, glad we did. First time we have ever been in an Indian restaurant(!) and boy was it good. Booked just to make sure we got in as it's apparently very popular (turned out they had plenty of spare tables). The restaurant building itself is nice, with indoor and outdoor seating and a quiet atmosphere. We started with papadum & sauces, followed by Samosa & Special Gobi starters - all very good. Mains were Chicken Korma & Chicken Malai Kebab, rice and naan bread plus cobra beer!. All very good and you could tell all freshly made. Service didn't take any longer than in any other restaurant, waiting staff are efficient and friendly (in spite of the obvious language barrier). We thought the price was competitive with other restaurants around Carvoiero.   A mixed bag at Pashmina. Let’s start with the most important aspect, the food, which is top notch. Some interesting starters, prawn and chicken porri (a sort of spicy, tomato wrap) which were delicious. As well as the usual fare, bhaji and samosa. The mains were excellent. Biriyani had real depth of flavour and magical sauce. 5* Now for the downside, the service. Honestly the waiters were like zombies, devoid of any emotions. I know it was a Monday night but the skinny guy that served us was draining my soul to talk to. Come on guys cheer up, it can’t be that bad!! I will go again of course as the food was excellent.   Excellent food, good value, great night. BEST NAAN!!! Service was brilliant with friendly staff and really nice welcome. Popadoms were lovely, served in a nice basket, although the pickle tray was so-so Let's focus on the positives though. Pakora, bhaji and samosa were excellent. The mixed tandoori grill was the most expensive thing on the menu...and delicious!!! Son had the phaal....hottest thing on the menu...even the waiter warned him against it...and he loved it ("only 300k on the scoville Dad" 🤷) My ultimate gauge for any indian restaurant is the naan....all I will say is...10/10 INCREDIBLE Great food, great service, lovely view, super busy, but not rushed.   What a find. Slightly off the beaten track when staying at Rocha Brava as everyone we needed to go went in the opposite direction. Found it on google maps and it Did not disappoint. Fantastic food, like amazing Indian dishes with some really great service. They also do takeaway if you were staying in a villa which would be great. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.   My boyfriend & I were staying at the Rocha Brava resort and luckily this restaurant was a 2 minute walk away and wow, what a gem it was. We were on holiday for two weeks and we visited this restaurant 3 times, we actually wanted to go more but had to stop ourselves!! The food was absolutely delicious, we tried different dishes every time and all of them were so tasty. Definitely recommend the Bombay Aloo & Butter Chicken. Another thing that I loved was that they asked how spicy I’d like my dishes, I absolutely love spice and have to ask places to make things spicier for me so to have the option to customise the spice level was brilliant. The service was top notch, all the staff were kind and always made us feel welcome (even when we turned up without a reservation). They were also really attentive. We were very happy! It’s a really beautiful building, the fairy lights elevated the outdoors, such a lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be returning next time we visit.   It's moved since I was last in Carviero. Not exactly convenient on foot from the town, but still has a well deserved reputation for quality Indian food and excellent service. The staff look after their guests politely and respectfully. The food this time (three trips) for takeaway, was delicious. Highly recommended.   I had an extremely unpleasant experience with this business. The owner was incredibly arrogant and refused to deliver my order without any valid reason, despite having delivered to me a few times before. This refusal came after I complained about missing rice and items in previous deliveries, for which they offered no compensation. The delivery driver's attitude was absolutely disgusting towards a loyal customer like me. He even claimed that he would transfer me to the boss, who initially acknowledged my concerns about the non-delivery but later denied being the boss after hearing my complaints. Eventually, the actual boss came on the phone and made up a false excuse about their car being broken. If they are capable of lying about such a simple matter, it raises concerns about what other dishonest practices might be happening within their restaurant. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs. Thankfully, we have discovered other fantastic Indian restaurants in the same street and area that offer superior food and service. Unlike this dishonest establishment, these other restaurants provide a Madras curry that isn't watery like a soup and includes chicken pieces and coriander. Spending 50 euros at this place is not worth it. Instead, opt for the nearby alternatives that offer better quality food, superior service, and integrity.   We visited Pashmina for dinner, after doing some sightseeing around Lagoa. The restaurant is located in a beautiful mansion, with a nice patio. It did get a bit chilly in the evening. We ordered samosa, butter chicken, bhindi masala, mushroom bhaji, tandoori roti, mushroom rice and mango lassi. The taste was great and so was the price. The portions were smaller than other Indian restaurants in Portugal, but that's probably because of its prime location. Would recommend.   Lovely hardworking staff and great food! I loved the cauliflower starters. We had a buffet style lunch with a live band. The band played very well and many of the holidaymakers loved it. Our table did find it super loud and we couldn't hold any conversation throughout lunch as it felt like a concert and probably not ideal of you're wanting to chat with your friends.   Amazing restaurant! We came here last year for a meal and remembered it so went back this year. We ended up eating here 3 times over a 10 day holiday, it was that good!   We had a good experience with the restaurant on Sunday and returned on Thursday as a group of eight people. Sat down at 8 O’ clock , but there was still no food served at 9:15. If there was a problem with understaffing I could understand but the blame was pointed in our direction for being a large table.   My wife and I went last night to Pashmina (Rocha Brava) and it was a good job I'd booked a table as it was packed. Upon arrival, we warmly greeted and a table outside was set out for us. The place is simply wonderful and clean. We decided to have starters of papadums, with pickle tray and onion bhaji. I only expected one bhaji but got two of the best tasting bhajis ever. Mains was fried prawns in garlic sauce and a subzi haandi biryani both of which were so juicy and tasteful. The plain naan we had was also wonderful. The evening was fantastic as the ambiance, food and service was out of this world and it's one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. The bill came to €50 which included 4 large beers which is amazing. They even offered us 2 brandies free of charge which of course would've been rude not to accept. If you like Indian food you MUST go here as it's brilliant.   I have visited Pashmina twice this month, both times without booking, as they were last minute decisions to eat out, instead of at home. Both times, although the restaurant was very busy, they accommodated us very graciously and we got fabulous seating. The food here is stunning. Tandoori chicken and pakora starters were glorious. I haven’t tasted better anywhere. Lemon Curry fish was amazing. Fish was perch, so a lovely meaty fish. The taste was so aromatic and fragrant. I would definitely have it again and recommend it highly. Lamb Jalfrezi was also an amazing taste. The spices were just perfect and it really hit the spot. Coupled with mushroom pilau, it was very satisfying. I’m delighted that Pashmina has moved to new premises just 3k from Carvoeiro town centre. The new restaurant is so spacious and has a beautiful patio area which is very large and airy, with protection overhead in case of rain. I had two all round great experiences here. Staff can’t be praised highly enough. Very attentive to the clients and just happy to go the extra bit to ensure customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend Pashmina to anyone who appreciates and cares about good food.   Lovely place with nice outdoor seating. The service was great! The staff is very polite and quick. (there was plenty of space to seat within Covid rules) In fact no interest whatsoever and weird attempt to seat us inside - on separate tables! I assume the owner was out and the staff wanted a quiet evening? Anyway, 2 households of local residents will not bother to trouble you again. No idea whether the food was any good.   Indian food is my favourite and quite simply Pashmina makes as good a meal as I've had anywhere in the world. I revisited after a year with a particular meal in mind. Unable to remember it's name, I was asked to describe it and, 15 minutes later it arrived, custom made, and exactly what I'd imagined. Excellent service, fluent in English and at prices so low that I wonder how they remain in business.   The FOOD was amazing, fresh, tasty and properly cooked. The atmosphere, oh boy really appreciate the details, the owner wanted to give de customers more warm and cosy feeling in his restaurant and he placed a real fire decoration/heater in the middle of the restaurant and to make sure that is not get to hot he kept the airconditioning on. This is what I call going extra mile for making a great experience for your customers. At our last night staying in Algarve, me & my girlfriend craving for 🇮🇳 Indian food and thanks god the Pashmina was nearby, BUT we were kind of late, 22:15 and when we arrived the gentleman who greeted us said that the kitchen will close at 22:30, long story short we ordered, we ate and we ordered again and they were so kind even the kitchen was closed, they asked the chef to make us another fresh bread. The staff/waiters, 2 real gentlemen, they made our last night the best night at Algarve.   In comparison with Pani we felt this was not quite as good. We felt we were being rushed through, even though we had booked a table and they had empty tables as others were leaving. Was asked 4 times within a few minutes if we were ready to order. Food was nice but a medium curry was borderline too hot- good job we hadn't gone hot! All that said the food was nice, but not exceptional. Final point of note was that all the tables around us were offered a port, but we clearly didn't qualify! Shame as we visit Carvoeiro at least 3 times a year and could have become regulars. Never mind, Pani gets our vote and probably future custom.   As a veggie I could not find a better place to eat in Carvoeira. Every course is delicious, but Special gobi (cauliflower with honey sauce) is to die for! The staff is extremely friendly. You are served rather quickly. The prices are reasonable (50€ for 3pers incl drinks, entrance and main dishes, different kinds of bread). We stayed one week in Carvoeira and went to this Indian restaurant about every evening. We tried a couple of other restaurants, but if you don't eat meat or fish, the choice is very limited, and the courses are tasteless.   We booked in Oct via email, to eat here on Christmas eve. I have to say we weren't dissapointed at all. Staff are very friendly and the place itself is very warm and welcoming. The food is more than I would pay in the UK however one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. We even did takeaway a few days later, which they also delivered for us.
