  20 Canadians walk into a restaurant… No really. We reserved for twenty and they set us up in the main area complete with live music and room to dance. We had a wonderful night. My group of four had three tapas: fried cheese, tempura vegetables, and mushroom bruschetta. We ordered four entrees: the hamburger, the vegetarian burger, the truffle ravioli, and the chicken supreme. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.   I called them to make a reservation and they told me to go there now as they were busy but when we arrived at the restaurant it was literally empty. Despite it was empty we had to wait a lot for 2 starters and a steak. Food was good but I think a bit pricy for the portions. Overall ok but nothing special.   I came in around 9.30pm and asked if it was still possible to get some dinner. They kindly accepted & even let me change tables since the live music was a bit too loud for my liking. The food then, was also impeccable. Great small gesture from the chef, fried octopus for starter and the lamb shank as Main course. And desert was the brownie, because the lava cake was unfortunately sold out... Overall, all courses were great, and the service was also very good! Especially one guy and girl who were were really nice, even though I stayed passed opening hours! The other was nice but was a bit rushed.   Classy Restaurant on the edge of town. Not a huge menu, but all the dishes were well thought out, and very tasty. House red wine also was great. Staff brought over a complimentary apperatif and also a small glass of port. Live music on Thursdays, so book a table away from the stage if you want to have a conversation at the table. Food was great, as was the wine, staff were professional and courteous, and the lady singer made it a great night. Dancing around the tables towards the end of the night.   This is a great restaurant! We had no problems with service and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious (we had duck leg salad, fish risotto and the home made banoffee dessert). The portions are good and their prices are great for the quality of food that you get.   Beautiful meal, we tried 10 tapas and the house white wine and everything was superb. Without a doubt the best thing for us was that my sister could have the majority of the dishes which were Gluten free. The service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome.   Lovely meal here with my partner. Figs starter was amazing Black risotto was good but the burger and stone looked much better so had food envy. Had the marshmallow and flame pudding which was really cool. The cherry lemonade was amazing. The only thing I'd say is it took about thirty mins between first and second course.   I personally enjoyed the food here and the experience. However there was a large group of us and there were a few left upset by comments by the waiter about our nationality and a mention of drugs. If it was a bar it would be ok but on a family holiday it's inappropriate and I think was a case of the waiter simply not knowing his audience. However it very much disgruntled a few people. We stopped by to book a table and must have mentioned that one of us had a birthday - because when we arrived a couple of days later, the table and the wall where we were supposed to sit were decorated.   Wonderful meal here. Great service. Started with a complimentary amuse bouch tuna in pastry. Starters were calamari and bacon wrapped dates. Both were great.   Very nice restaurant with good service and ambiance. The Food however was on the disappointing side. Lamb was bland and lacking flavor. Sirloin steak I ordered was supposed to be Medium rare. It came medium well. I probably should have sent it back. The pineapple-colada Cake was very dry and not very good. The seating is fine unless you get the bench seat which is worn and uncomfortable.   We had a wonderful meal here. The server made me a special cherry mojito that I requested, and it was great. The apple and goat cheese salad was a wonderful starter - very different from what I expected. It was a baked apple with goat cheese in between layers of apple. Delicious! The tuna steak was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the black salmon tortellini, which was delicious. They made my husband a special dessert of strawberry ice cream, fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and I had the creme brulee. Service was excellent. One of the best meals we've had in Portugal.   Taste is the one restaurant my wife will insist we visit everytime we come to Carvoeiro. We've been visiting them since they were first open in the previous location and whilst they're now a slightly longer walk to get to it is still worth it. The food is excellent, huge selection of wines, cocktails and they even have craft beers. This time after complimentary toasts with salmon mousse, we had the tempura battered veg and chicken kebabs for starters and the beetroot balls with cabbage and beetroot, and lamb shank with rice and chick peas. (the two meat courses were from the specials board) Two cocktails, one Marafada pale ale, a large Estrella a coffee and one dessert with strawberries, granola, coconut and Chia seeds. Finished off with complimentary almond liqueur and port. Slightly more expensive that our usually meals, but two cocktails push that up, we still had fantastic high quality meal, in great surroundings served by fantastic staff for under €80.00. The service was good, they paid a lot of attention with GF, but everything was too slow, especially getting the bill. Fair point they tried to offer us some degestivs, however by the time we ran out of our patience.   First time that we had so bad food in the algarve, and we are not really picky people. We had the big plate with fish and meat for €58 The salmon, sea bass, pork and gambas were so dry and hard. Taste like it comes from the freezer and baked to long. The fries were not done yet. We couldn't imagine that a restaurant can serve that bad food for this price. We send the food back and ordered in return the burger, that was oke. The staff did there best but sorry, for us never again...   Lovely restaurant recommended by our dear friends who live locally. Staff and food excellent. Decor and toilets beautiful. Don't eat too much beforehand as portions are good. Chilli chicken and leek balls are delicious. My husband had the Monk fish and I had the salmon (coconut risotto was a dish on its own) absolutely full of flavour and freshness. Our friends had the lobster salad and the lamb shank. The lamb fell of the bone and the lobster salad was fresh with light dressing and fresh mango. Sadly we were all too full to appreciate a dessert. Have to say the raspberry daiquiri was so lovely and too easy to drink! Would recommend this restaurant staff helpful and was great for children. Having eaten at a few restaurants locally they are clearly trying to do something a bit different and slightly more contemporary than their peers. The food was fresh and delicious and the restaurant light and spacious. I think we got what we paid for but it certainly wasn't as cheap as some. We very much liked it.   Had a family meal here, had to rearrange our table to make a bit more comfortable, although was still cramped and had to ask for some dirty glasses to be replaced.   The best meal so far in Carvoeiro, I can not fault it, Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the menu and wine list. Restaurant was very clean and bright. Service was excellent . I had a fillet steak and my partner had Tapas. Both meals were to die for. The presentation of the food was excellent. We were so impressed we book a table for the next night, I can see us spending quite some time at this restaurant in the next few weeks. In summery excellent food at reasonable prices, staff are very friendly and very attentive, well worth anyone going to try for them self's. Highly Recommended! I'll be Back!
