  This place is super overpriced, the table service was terrible and the staff was super rude. The place is nice because of the ocean view, but u can get is cheaper and with much more guest friendly attitude at other bars. Btw just to mention, the only vegan dish is a salad for 20eur. The price of some dishes are not on the menu, and they wont tell you! I never go back to this place and don’t recommend it to anyone. They absolutely ruined the naps and family time of everyone else on the public beach. It's very sad to see the interests of a small group of financially motivated individuals ruin the freely available nature experience of a much larger group.   Great location and great atmosphere. It was fantastic to be able to reserve a cabana so that you knew there would be space available. The beach is lovely and the service is nice. The only annoyance being having to close the check after each thing ordered. Otherwise there were great drinks, friendly staff and a good atmosphere.   DONT COME HERE FOR FOOD - worst experience we have had in Portugal! Burger came served with RAW burger patty, we refused it, they brought it back with the well done burger now but everything else on the plate and the burger was cold, they didn’t put new fries, nothing. We refused again and spoke to the manager, understanding woman, but the rest of the staff couldn’t care less, they don’t care at all about the customer. The owner of the place should start to worry at some point soon because receiving only such bad reviews will take its toll sooner or later. Prices are ridiculous for what you get here! Don’t come!!   Disaster, we booked 4 weeks in advance for a 8 people yet we got a table for 4 people!! very rude staff, impolite, racist, not professional, unfortunately you can find few portuguese restaurants with such bad customer service or rude behavior, they believe if the acted this way, the restaurant will be upscale or elegant! they feel inferiors so they try to make problems with customers , maybe the staff are not paid enough so they make it on Purpose, i dont know whats their problem, but for sure they deserve a zero star, not worth the visit , many more beach clubs in the area that are worth it .. be careful where to go. Which I think is not only bad for business but just lazy. We made it clear that we would just like a drink.   Great beach and nice food and vibes, but the portuons are too small amd the prices too high for that amount, and the taste was good, but not super great! The service was good and they brought our orders extremely fast! Just one thinc I didn't like about the service - the woman on the phone (probably the one at the entrance) has been quite unfriendly and arrogant, which immediately made a first impression. I was making a reservation for 17 people who ordered lots of food and dronks and the bill was quite high. As such good customers we would probably not go back again...   We shall return. There is an air of carefreeness in this enchanting location. The establishment attracts a sophisticated international clientele with whom we engaged in intriguing conversations. The appetizers were excellent, and the tuna tartare, with its remarkable texture, was handled with utmost care in both preparation and presentation. However, the seafood rice dish for two had nothing special to offer. The service needs significant improvement. Some of the staff members do not speak English, making it extremely challenging to communicate the waitress’s mistake when she brought a white wine to the table instead of the rosé I had ordered. There was also confusion regarding the desserts, as we were seemingly informed about the availability of orange panna cotta, but were only served orange wedges. In conclusion, despite some shortcomings, the enchanting ambiance and superb quality of the appetizers make this place worthy of a visit. Travelling from Paris for a vacation with my partner, we made a booking two weeks ago for a bed on the beach and paid before our arrival. When we reached the place, we realized that the esthetics online were a bit exaggerated. After that, we were told that there was an over booking and we cannot access our bed since there’s no availabilities. And to reassure us, they told us that this case happened to other people as well, lol. However, I must say that our visit left us extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. The discriminatory treatment we received based on our gender was simply unacceptable.   One good fish can change "everything," but not as much as one bad fish! Here, the sea bass was pretty much the same as the 1kg sea bass you get all around the Atlantic...its what you do with it that counts. Cooked but not overcooked, with decent veggies (ok, the potatoes need to be treated more kindly), this dish is just perfect. The food around looks as coastal as the hovering gulls...similarly, the team swoop quite effectively, and mercifully you are in 1 waiters section. If only the espresso was drinkable...but this place could be a touristy trappy, snappy, nappy-wetting disaster...it isn't. It's good.   Had a business meeting over here. Ended up spending the entire afternoon sitting and chatting having drinks and just taking in the beautiful atmosphere. When I call on the 13/08 to tell when I will come, they said they couldn’t find my reservation and that they don’t even take reservations on the phone for week-ends. I’m happy I called. She insisted we order the fish of the day and convinced us to order the more expensive option as it would feed a group of us for €60 total (her words, not mine). She brings out the check and tells us it was €60 per PERSON while laughing. I say, wait you told us otherwise and she denies it and keeps laughing. She took complete advantage Of us, the language barrier, and the fact we are not from here. We are a group of college students who didn’t deserve her awful treatment and who just spent beyond their means due to a woman that scammed us. Wouldn’t recommend. Very rude staff.   AVOID - you will regret visiting! Not deserving of of its 4.3 rating. We'd been recommended this place by a friend but will be telling our friend not to recommend it anymore. We had a table booked but after being seated we were then ignored for an hour. When we finally got the attention of the waiter to order drinks, they asked us to pay straight away. That would have been fine but they took ages and when they eventually brought the drinks over, they put them on another table! We had to ask the guests at the other table to get our drinks. Reading some of the responses from mgmt, they're struggling for good quality staff but it doesn't seem right to blame lack of quality staff.   The place is gorgeous, the food is good, the service is acceptable, but from my experience yesterday the manager will run this place into the ground. He clearly hates his job, makes people wait for ages, blames his employees for mistakes, ... i've never seen so many customers getting annoyed and just walking off. I really hope this can be fixed as, again - the place is gorgeous.   Just came here for second time and changed rating from 4 to 2 stars - service was insanely bad.   I went to this place several times but today it was an awful experience. Service was unprofessional as we we had to ask many times for our wine, water, dressing, cutlery that we ordered at first... Dishes were served but table not cleared. A French rosé from 2017 was served as a rosé it always from the year before. The grill fish was covered by butter vegetables probably frozen.   This is a lovely restaurant with a great location, right by the ocean. We thought of passing by after our beach session for a nice drink and small snack. We waited patiently by the entrance for someone to attend us. Nobody was at the reception when we got there, waited for around 5 minutes. However more than half of the tables were FREE, and many with reserved signs. We thought of taking a seat (without the reserve sign) That was a big mistake. We were approached by a waiter with ATTITUDE.... she said “have you reserved a table” we said no, she then said you should wait at the reception area, you can’t just sit down, today is a big day! I said, well we were there for 5 minutes and nobody attended to us and there were PLENTY of free tables. She said “you can be glad you didn’t wait 30!” Not returning!   The place is amazing, incredible view, but you have to reserve, at least on weekends, otherwise you can find a place just inside. The food is delicious, but be prepared, it's a little pricey as expected for a beach restaurant. The stuff is friendly and it didn't take too long for the food to arrive. Unfortunately the day I went there was a gas leak, so the menu was restricted to the electrical grill. I recommend it, nonetheless.   Just left the place absolutely disappointed and annoyed! We got a recommendation from a friend saying it'd be a good spot to grab a cocktail so we were quite excited for days to try Princesa. Walked in, saw quite a few empty tables with a reservation sign on them and a couple without the sign. Us being polite people, we asked a female staff if we could sit. Very rudely she said you have to wait out there so we stopped at the entrance. For about 10mins standing under the blazing sun we watched her cleaning tables, turning over glasses and occasionally looking at us very angrily. We said ok, let's go inside and ask someone else.. a male member of the staff said to us it is perfectly fine to take a seat without the reserve sign. So, we sat and was presented with a Portuguese language menu, which would have been completely fine but the waiter rushed off and did not offer any help with understanding what's on it, meanwhile the other girl was still sending us bad looks. We decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. To be honest the staff completely ruined the nice time we were having until we went in. We specifically took an Uber out to this area of the beach to try the restaurant all for nothing. So if you ask me, don't bother doesn't worth it!!!!   If you're visting Costa de Caparica, make sure to visit Princesa for a tasteful dinner. Great menu with fresh fish, super good salads and delightful beef. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful (patiently explained the dishes, incl. showing us the real fishes before we ordered). When we visited on Sunday afternoon there was a DJ playing lounge music. It's also a good place to relax with a bottle of wine after dinner.   Good and friendly Restaurant in Charneca do Carparica.We spend 2 weeks there and come everyday to this Restaurant.The Only Thing I dont like is that everybody who comes and have a short coffe at the Outside Bar gets a Plastik Cup.I take Always the Glas one but also with a Plastik spoon.In this times not Good.We have to protect OUR World.So please Chance it!!
