  The place is nice, with plenty of space and good food. The prices are great compared to other breweries in Europe. However, the beer itself can be described as mediocre at best. The pilsner had an unclean fermentation (because of the higher temps of fermentation according to staff), which leads to undesired esters. Their rock climber IPA is supermarket quality. Shy hops and subpar bitterness. The raspberry gose was the nicest I've had, with a much cleaner profile. But still subpar compared to other breweries. My recommendation: don't go expecting a nice beer. It's ok even for the lower prices. Don't bother going if you're touristing through Portugal. You'll have a much better time trying many of the amazing wineyards in the region. (Traduzido pelo Google) O local é agradável, com bastante espaço e boa comida.   Good friendly Irishman at the helm with beer knowledge and other anecdotes. It is good to see craft beer getting a start in this country. I tend to prefer a darker ale and there was none so I tried a flight of their on tap brews. The Piri Piri Pilsner was done well with a slight rise in heat after a few seconds. We took some canned ones home. The rasberry didn’t quite hit it for me. The Dunkel Weisen was nice. The stout not too bad.   Se gosta de cerveja artesanal e visita o Algarve, esta é uma visita quase obrigatória!! Não encontrei muitas cervejarias na região, mas mesmo que existissem, vale a pena visitar esta. Tem um bom terraço, até piscina!! 😂 Para além das cervejas que fabricam, têm uma lista bastante extensa de latas de outras marcas, tanto portuguesas como estrangeiras. Quando os visitei tinham Mean Sardine, Dois Corvos, Peninsula, Brew York, Cloudwater… e a preços incríveis!! 🤩 Queria que isso me pegasse mais perto de casa… 😅

  Sept'22: Ordered a selection of craft beers online before our vacation. On the day of our arrival Algarve Rock had the order delivered to our hotel in Olhão. They even added some replacements for beers that were out of stock. This year we will definitely make time to visit the brewery, meet Paul in person and stock up on craft beers for the duration of our stay. Good beers, great service, 100% recommended!   Great craft brewery close to Faro (it’s easiest to take a Bolt ride or bus here). Tried most of the drafts in a flight and it’s hard to pick a favorite. I’d probably choose the raspberry Gose and the Red Eye Session IPA. Major plus is that all their beers are vegan (and labeled!) and they even have a gf beer and a bunch of hard seltzers. E eles ainda têm uma cerveja gf e um monte de soda cáustica.

  Great beers, especially the peri peri beer. The barman Paul is friendly and gave us lots of information and recommended we come back the next day for the burger, beers and band night that they do on the first Friday of the month.   Loved this hidden gem! We came here on a Wednesday afternoon (they are open 2-5:30pm) and met Paul and the brewer Jose. It was great to meet them and try their tasty beers. The Gose is even made with local salt from the algarve region. The taproom is in a typically industrial area and was a nice spot to enjoy a drink. Highly recommend a visit!   Stopped here on our drive to Lisbon for a beer. Paul was great and welcomed us with an explanation of all the beers they have on tap and in a can. He also offered recommendations for a beach visit and restaurants to try in the area. Great for any English only speakers as well since Paul speaks English and the menu is also offered in English.   Nice craft brewery right outside Faro. The prove that great beer can ve found all over the Europe. We arrived right in the morning few minutes after opening, but they were really nice to us.   Paul knows very well it's beers and completely changed my mind about hard seltzers (theirs are excellent !!). A good moment spent in this place, Algarve Rock is making beers from local ingredients, and we had the chance to try few different and tasty beers. The price is quite cheap compared to the quality of the beer (good quality-price).   Authentic, refreshing craft beer just a hop, skip and a pint from the Algarve coast - what's not to love? We were staying in Faro and hopped on a short bus out to the Brewery (even quicker by car/Uber). The service at the brewery taproom was great and the beers explained in good detail. They offered a tasting flight for only 5€ and we were even allowed to try a special addition stout straight from the barrel! They had drinks to cater for all tastes, from pilsners and IPAs to sours and even hard seltzers. My personal favourite was the 'Third Rock from the Sun' double IPA. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit to anyone in the Algarve area looking to drink something better than Super Bock or Sagres.   We came here when visiting Faro. It was only a €2.50 bus ride from Faro. Don't be fooled by the industrial estate- follow Google maps and you'll get there! It's a lovely taproom with a variety of beers. We got the tasting flight of 4 beers and Paul talked us through them all to make sure we made the right choice!   Great brewery with a nice selection of beers. Their west coast style IPA is tasty. Very friendly! They also have some special barrel aged stouts which were really good. There is a series of three: Jack Daniels barrel, Wild Turkey barrel, and a barrel used for Glenmange and Port wine. Unique flavors. The tap room has an open feel with lots of seating available.   Great experience. Tour with Paul, started off with one of their beers (Raspberry gose was my favourite) talked about their brewing process along with a tour of each area. Ended with tasting some barrel aged beers which were absolutely delicious and buying a few beers along with some complimentary hard seltzers too. Really glad we came here. He was very generous with his time and was willing to answer all of our questions about the brewery and craft beers in general. The brewery offers an impressive selection of beer from a Pilsner to IPA's to barrel aged stouts. If have a pulse and looking for a memorable and enjoyable experience, this is your place.   Fantastic range of beers, stouts and seltzers, definitely something for every palate. We had a great time sampling the different beers and came away with as much as we could carry. Paul was really friendly and informative. We bought directly from them but also available in Apolonia and ask in local bars too. So happy to find decent beer on the Algarve! And the seltzers are an excellent option for non beer drinkers. Thanks Paul, we'll be back soon to restock!   Everyone should visit the Algarve Rock brewery! The staff are so welcoming and friendly - they gave us a tour of the brewery and explained the process to us! They were very patient and were happy to answer all our questions! They couldn’t have been nicer and the beer is amazing - they have a range of beers so there’s something for everyone!   Amazing experience and outstanding brewery! We were just working our way back to the Algarve from Spain when we decided to stop by this establishment to have a taste of their beer. The owner Gary was ever so inviting! Craft beers are a tad harder to find in Portugal as Super Bock tends to run the game of distribution. Not only does Algarve Rock Brewery make delicious beers for Portugal, but it competes with many we've tried across the globe. The owner shared tastings of beers he had in shop and then gave us additional locations we could find their beers in stores. My husband went "bananas" for the Weiss and I am obsessed with the Piri Piri Pilsner. A spicy beverage in a location rare for craft beers? Amazing! We most definitely recommend anyone to visit this brewery if you are staying in or passing through Faro. And if not, find their beer in Baptista, Spar or Apolonia stores in Lagos. Very good beers, i.a., accidentally "smoked" Weiss Bier 😉 and quite unique Piri-piri Pilsner.
