  I was told that the dish i had selected would take a while to be prepared( should be noted on the menu and the clients would be prepared as they do on Spanish menus with paella to inform you that it takes time to prepare) so had to quickly choose something else. Had anchovies on toast and a chicken dish, the anchovies were really good but the toast was as hard as a brick and the chicken was dry.   The welcoming was not warm at all. We were told that we could have a table outside so we waited for the table at least 10 minutes. And then another waiter just told us if we wanted to have only drink and not dinner we could only sit inside. At 22.40 it is not normal to try to regulate such rule considering the people just sit before us didn't order anything to eat, neither the people sat on the table we were told to be seated.   I‘m traveling alone and my hostel recommended that place. At first i thought it might be a bit too fancy, but i was in for a treat so i went anyways. The food was AMAZING and the prices were absolutely fine! Main courses around 15€, starters around 5€, glass of wine around 4€. Try the Octopus “Ria”! Its soo good! But thats not everything: the service was great! Sitting alone at a restaurant isnt always easy but the waiter came around to chat, recommended food, drinks and even bars to grab a cocktail afterwards. Really felt welcome here. The staff was very rude and the plate were very small (if you order ceviche or prawn for instance you will have to order additionnal sides) but expensive.   Very unfriendly and unpolite waiter. Waited there for a table for more than half an hour. Then one table was free and they said to us we are not alllowed to sit there. We asked why and the waiter wants to have a look. He never came back and ignored us. Worst experience ever in Faro. Can’t recommend the APERITIVO bar. Go to the rooftop bar at Faro Hotel.   One of the wort experiences ever! We were there to order some drinks and something to eat. It was a private party and everyone was eating there, but ehwn we asked for food they tols me it is not possible and the kitchen will start to work at 18:00. We waited half an hour and when everone around is eating and you are hungry, that is not the most suitable case. So we asked again at 18:00 and they told we have to wait more.   It was exactly what we wanted. A cozy local Faro bar to eat appetizers and some wine, a light dinner. Our waiter Gonçalo , a local , was fantastic. He actually knew about the local food and wines. He was very honest with his recommendations, he said he didn't normally eat mushrooms, so he couldn't say if they were good or bad. He really knows his wines. Well priced and really tasty food.
