  It was a quite good Indian/Nepali restaurant with attentive and kind service, good atmosphere (except the music, as the same 2 minute track was on loop). The food seemed authentic as well, even though lacking some spice and flavour, but I guess it is standard in Portugal. Prices are fair and portions are sizeable enough too. I had the usual Tikka Masalla, it was well prepared, creamy, and the naan with cheese tasted fresh too. The mango ice cream was not the delicious, it felt like eating frozen mango flavoured whey powder shake, but other than that, if you craving for Indian in Madeira, you can trust this place.   Great Indian food in the heart of Funchal, on New Years eve 2023. Choices were limited on NYE with only a set menu, however.. Perfectly sized portions for two. The naan bread was freshly made, the Chicken Pilak was tasty along with the Chana Masala too! Would definitely recommend if looking for a friendly delicious Indian.   New year's eve dinner, hardly a place to seat for 2 without reservation! Fine food but the price was quite too high for what you get. The small portion sauces for the famous nun were almost all liquids - sign of wrong saving if you want to impress. Also, main dishes come with no rice or nun. The basmati rice was very good. Got the chicken and vegetable thali and a starter for two that has classic nepali items like pakora. Overall the service was good and food was well seasoned and prepared. Good choice. 51€ the lot. 3.50€ for the Cobra a bottle...but back in April 2023 and no Cobra, Super Bock instead The food is as good or even better. Nepalese chilly chicken and lamb sag.   We stumbled across the little supermarket which is linked to this restaurant and the lady was so welcoming and invited us to have a look with no pressure to buy anything. Ended up finding some nice Indian spices and treats that I haven't seen on sale anywhere else in Madeira, then we discovered that they also have the Basmati restaurant so we decided to try it out the next evening. The food was absolutely delicious with lots of yummy vegan and vegetarian options, as well as lots of meat and fish options. Everything we ordered was beautifully cooked and seasoned to perfection! The staff are really friendly and welcoming too, we would highly recommend this place if you're in Funchal and looking for something a bit different.   Very bad experience being an indian I know how the food is supposed to look and taste like… we ordered quite a few starters and tea… tea and initial starters were fine… but then ordered Momos… which they servered partially cooked and appeared we were eating raw flour… when we complained they recooked the old one or said they recooked… but it again turned out to be raw and uncooked at some points… quite a bad way of treating guest with no personal touch.   Amazing Indian place. We have been to numbers of Indian restaurants, but this one is exceptional. I also have special memories here as I experienced a wonderful date at the time when the island established covid restrictions. They prepared take-away on special request. The team prepare an amazing curry sauce, which contains the spirit of north India / Nepal. Among others, the owner and his wife are exceptional heart-warming humans. This becomes rarely those times.   Born and raised in California, Ive been to literally around 150 Indian or Naplese restaurants in my life, if not more. The food is also some of my favorite and I cook it all the time. This food was simply incredible, and it's clear that the restaurant cares about the quality and have a deep love for food.   Food is really good and the people who run it are so nice. They even sell some great spices and ingredients in the restaurant if you need anything in particular to cook at home. I've been to a few Indian places here in funchal and this is one the great ones. The area itself (santa Maria) has alot fo restaurants but they are all serving local food and its hard to get something different in them (all menus usually have fish espitada and so on). If you want somethibg different while staying in funchal, this place has your flavour fix waiting for you.
