  Themed around Christiano Ronaldo, breakfast is very good quality and there is a huge selection. Rooms are very dark, no main light in the bedroom, cruise Ships dock right next to the hotel blocking out the sun on your balcony, and many drunk people making noise at night outside. Because prices are a bit highfor rooms and the fact my bedroom lock broke about 11pm and took about a hour to sort is the reason for the modest score.   We walked over to this hotel from the one we had booked months earlier. The other hotel tried to put us in a dirty, dated room in a fish restaurant, a block away from their hotel. We said no, and were left a bit stranded as a result. Luckily for us, the Pestana was happy to have us and provided a nice room to us that was actually located at their hotel location!   We had a wonderful stay at Pestana CR7! It’s a quick walk to old town and the hotel zone. The hotel has nice amenities and the service is mostly excellent, particularly the front desk (Mikaela is a gem!), housekeeping, and restaurant. It was a bit disappointing to hang out at the pool and not have a bar tender always available, but that is my only complaint. Overall, I would definitely return!   I am delighted with the location and the view of the city. the hotel is wonderful, the staff is friendly, the food for breakfast is varied (only when you get bored of the same thing for several days and work on it a bit). The rooms are clean, the bathroom is the same. Everyone is friendly and at your service. Thank you to the man who fulfilled my son's birthday wish and brought a signed Ronaldo ball to his room. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The pool is large and ideal for swimming and children. I am shocked by the negative comments...half of them are not true (from my experience).   This is the worst hotel we stayed in Madeira. The rooms are good sized but dated. Pillows and sheets are very old and poor quality plus the bed was hard and not comfortable. We booked 3 nights initially but left after one as there were large bugs in the bathroom. The bathroom was full of mold and dirty. We paid 270 euro for one night and later we moved to an amazing 5 star hotel little more than 5 minutes walk from this hotel for less money. They asked us to leave our phone number so the manager could contact us but they never called. Just avoid this hotel (Traduzido pelo Google) Este é o pior hotel que ficamos na Madeira.   The room that we were initially given was unacceptable. The walls, carpets and curtains were really dirty. The curtains and the towels had holes in it. Most importantly though, there was a mould/fungus in the shower causing allergic reactions. We eventually managed to change our room to a better one, and the reception was pretty helpful here In the new room though, the balcony doors were not working (it eventually got fixed) and the sink was leaking. To sum it up, the room experience was horrible, the hotel was not worth its money and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.   This hotel is located right next to Funchal cruise ship terminal which in itself provides endless entertainment as well as a fantastic backdrop to your vacation. It is also within easy walking distance of Funchal centre and the Old Town. The hotel itself gives an impression of needing a facelift and the street side entrance is uninspiring to say the least. The public areas could do with a face-lift. Ordinarily I would award four stars or less but where this place really stands out is in the quality and friendliness of the staff and not just front of house but everyone, including the housekeeping staff. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. Rooms are spacious and clean but again the bathroom in my unit, perhaps, was ready for a little tlc. I do have to repeat, 10 out of 10 for the staff and, therefore, the management. Added bonus: free entry to CR7 museum!   Great location, fab pool and bar. It's a lifestyle hotel which I think would suit younger people than us (50s,) it's quite dark on the room floor and the rooms are too with LED lighting to create atmosphere. The room is big with great service. The food in the bar is good quality too. Be careful to ask for a terrace or balcony as we booked a room with a terrace and there wasn't any outdoor space. We paid €30 a night to upgrade to a balcony room, which was better but noisy at weekend as the bars below and nightclub across are open.   Although I did not stay at this hotel I visited while on a cruise on Christmas Day! To my horror that evening as we sailed away I went to look for my purse only to realise my husband had left it on the table while getting coffees. We had all our holiday money and credit cards inside we quickly called and spoke to a lovely lady named Cat who confirmed she had the purse counted the money and assured us she would put it in their safe. Luckily my family where visiting maderia today and were able to pick it up! Cat has been amazing and communicated with me multiple times! I cannot thank her and the team enough for their honesty, integrity and professionalism. We plan to return later this year and will be staying in this hotel because they are the absolute best!   Quirky kind of hotel. The window between the shower and the bedroom is a good example. It's in a good location to reach central Funchal in 10 minutes. Last night (Friday) had a lot of motorbikes racing and what sounded like a loud crowd with lots of singing. Don't know where it came from. Hope it was a one-off.   We were absolutely amazed by the hotel. The welcome drink on the arrival made our stay really pleasant. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are open daily from 10 to 18 and are free to use. You have outdoor towels and dressing gown as well. There is a large variety of breakfast, from cereals, cheeses, hams, eggs on different options, fruit, vegetable, yoghurts, juices and Nespresso coffee. The locatiom of the hotel is perfect as well. Only 5 mins walk to the city centre, 15 mins to the nearest beach. The staff is super friendly, especially Catarina who arranged car for 2 days for us was amazing, alltogether with Miguel and Mikaela. I would definitely stay there again.   View at top is nice, location central, staff really nice. But for me Sauna, jacuzzi and pool and outside exercising tools were biggest plus. I spend somewhere 4 hours at sauna and pool. Sauna is bit mild for finish taste but careful use brings temperature somewhere 70C and feels believable. Recommended.   We chose this hotel for my partner's 50th Birthday. Every single one of the team works extremely hard and made sure we had an amazing holiday. The hotel is small compared to some on the island, this means the staff engage with you, they are always smiling and couldn't do enough to help. Facilities are great, outdoor gym, rooftop pool with incredible views, sauna and whipool. Rooms are so comfy, great balcony, fab shower with lovely smelling gels and amazing pillows...and very hard working and thorough cleaning team We had the best time.....thank you all so much.   Just came back home after a 4 nights stay with my partner in Madeira. I enjoyed every second spent in Pestana CR7, all the staff is really kind, trying their best to make your holidays memorable. The rooms are big and clean, the breakfast is delicious with a big variety of choices. The food from their restaurant is tasty as well and not pricey. Location is great if you plan you visit Funchal, everything is walking distance from the hotel. I will definitely go back when I will visit Madeira again.   I can’t explain how amazing our stay at this hotel was, so far it has been the best service my wife and I have had at a hotel ever. The staff, especially Estefany and the others working at reception were very helpful and friendly. If it wasn’t for the staff, we wouldn’t have been able to figure out our PCR testing on time, they helped us tremendously with transportation, and really any concerns we had. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. The gentleman at the front who I think was the manager, greeted us with a choice of drinks and made us feel welcome the moment we stepped inside. The rooms themselves were large, with natural lighting, modern design, and all the usual amenities. The terrace also has great views with working out equipment. The location of the hotel is convenient and close to major attractions, restaurants, and transportation. Breakfast was also plentiful and fresh, there’s was a large selection of meats, pastries, fruits, fresh juice, and other food made to order by the kitchen. I will be looking for a Pestana hotel first from now on when travelling. Thank you so much for making our stay in Funchal so wonderful.   Hotel smelled wonderful everyday in the entrance (like delicious men's cologne), looked clean, service was fantastic. Special shout out to Javier on reception, he was such a happy face and couldn't do enough. He had suggestions, questions that felt like a friend not forced and called to organise an activity for us. We are two friends from England, stayed for 5 days and it was what you want in a hotel. Location was ideal to walk everywhere and has so much in close proximity. Comfy sleeping, roof top with wonderful views and lounging facilities. Would love to stay again when visiting Madrid. Cannot comment on food as we always ate out.   First, the hotel is only 2 levels and so you can hear loud noise from the restaurant on geound level evaeb at 11:30 in the night. Second, even though it has ship docking view, you can never open the drapes as people can directly stare into your room from again restaurant below. Third, the rates are too high. I am paying 250 dollars per night and after a long day, I can't even sleep at midnight. It is not worth more than 50-75 dollars. Fourth, the rooms are so small that for two people, it is very inconvenient. Also, the bathrooms and I can say old as the floor coverings are rusted. Finally, yes it is a collaboration between Christano Ronaldo, but he is not serving me food or greeting me and so who the heck I care.   Amazing! We had the best time and this is clearly an LGBTQ+ inclusive hotel. I want with my partner and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I rarely have experienced such lovely staff - everyone we encountered was just so nice. Rooms are nice and the pool is amazing. Breakfast buffet was very generous and delicious. The room menu was a bit limited but this is such a minor point. We would always come back again and I can't recommend it highly enough. (Traduzido pelo Google) Incrível!   Went to the pool bar upstairs the day after Christmas as part of Mein Schiff Herz's crew party, as we had a 3D2N port manning in Funchal before sailing to the Canary Islands of Spain. Wide pool area with a great view of the port and the hilly side of the town. The small foods they served there are okay.   I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms were super nice. Pool are is great, the breakfast is great. Some of the stuff is exceptional, some of them are just okay. The location is one of the best and worst thing. It is close to everything important in Funchal but it's located in the port which can be noisy during night and early in the evening. This would not be such a problem it the balkony doors seal properly. If they solve this then the hotel is 4.5 star. (Traduzido pelo Google) Tenho sentimentos confusos sobre este hotel.   Had a great two weeks at CR7 hotel Funchal. Staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is a bother. Meals are good and price wise par for the course. Rooms have everything you need or want. They are looked after by house keeping who are so helpful. Rooms are carpeted as is the corridor. Roof terrace is a joy for watching Funchal day to day and the cruise ships that come in. Be warned they come within a hundred metres of the hotel and can tower above it. We were not bothered. All in all a wonderful place to stay and only a short walk in to the centre of Funchal with lots and lots to do and see. Go on give it a go!   We spent alot of Money as South Africans to be here on New Years Eve but we were so disappointed. A drunk man started a fight upstairs with men and women and was never thrown out just escorted to his room. But ofcourse he came out of his room and started swearing and threatening my mother and I and management did nothing to prosecute this man. Put a sour taste in my mouth. Worst start to a new year. Will never recommend this Hotel to anyone. And that's disappointing because i am the biggest CR7 fan.   Best hotel experience ever. I am a big fan of CR7 which is why i booked the hotel in the first place. However, after staying there for two nights, I can tell you it is a great choice, the staff is just perfect and amazing, they were very flexible with the check in. and for the check out, out flight was too early which means we couldn’t have breakfast before, they made us lunch boxes to go.   This is a nice little café near but not in the centre of the harbour and you can have a quiet lunch / drink here and the prices are moderate unlike further into the harbour area which can get really expensive. Staff are friendly and service is good. You can sit inside or outside. Beware that if you go outside you will be plagued by pigeons as soon as you start to eat which not everybody will enjoy. They (the owners not the pigeons) also insist on having this boom box blaring out trance like music so unless you like that don't sit too close to the loud speaker. But well worth a visit.   We visited CR7 in Funchal a couple of years ago and must say it was excellent! We asked if we could go on the rooftop to sit by the pool and look over the city, but it was closed. The young lady asked if we were staying in the hotel and we said no, she took us up anyway unlocked the door and we enjoyed the view of the city by ourselves. We decided to stay and have a meal which was reasonably priced. The staff at CR7 were amazing and very professional. The toilets made us laugh too. Great evening!   This place looks nice and is close to the Harbor which gives you nice views. Hygiene wise the pigeons walk inside the restaurant which is a bit strange. see pictures. Do not order the CR7 salad. It’s overpriced and half of the described ingredients were not in the salad. French Fries were soggy and half cooked. The pizza on the other side was good. It is the Mecca for Christian Ronaldo fans, with statue of him outside and a museum attached to the hotel.   first of all, i would like to say that all the staffs were amazing. literally all of them! from the reception front desk, to the kitchen and wait staffs, great job in making me feel treated like a special guest. always smiling and greets me, and giving help when needed. then there is the room. the bed is really comfortable and the pillows are really the best ever! big and comfy! felt clean and new. only thing i would really like is a bathtub. But the rainshower was nice. The facilities are great as well. I enjoyed the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. allowed me to make some friends! All in all a good hotel to stay in Madeira. keep up the good work. (noticed that i don't really care about ronaldo? but i still recommend this place!)   I've stayed at really fancy and expensive hotels, but I've never experienced service as i did at CR7 Pestana Funchal. This one was my absolute favourite hotel experience. Kind, friendly and very helpful staff from the minute I walked in, to the minute I walked out. Helped us book excursions on the island, any information, and on our last day after checking out we had a hike and they offered to hold our bags after check out until we got back from our full day hike. Offered assistance with every little thing. Superb place. The staff deserve all the recognition from their superiors.
