  The service is very friendly but unfortunately not very good in taking the order right. They forgotten several times the ordered drinks. The Beef Kebap I had come rare which was not stated in the Menu and also after asking there was no option to get it medium. It was never asked which way it is preferred. Much worser than that, the quality of the meat was really bad. Lots of fat an sinews have marked the meat. The place itself is pretty but there are lots of straying cats.   There was one really attentive member or staff at Joe's bar. There was a bit if a vibe/buzz. Music was basically British pub/chart classics from the 90's. Felt like the place had no real identity but more the only available option in the area for food or drinks. The food I must say was bland. We had the calamari which was cooked well and the trinchado. I've looked up the recipe since and am sad to say this is not what we received.   We are staying in Jardim do Mar for vacation and have eaten at Joe's Bar and Grill 5 times so far. We have tried nearly everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. My favorite is the piri piri chicken with boiled potatoes and vegetables. My husband loves the grilled, tender calamari. House wine is the bomb and the atmosphere is spectacular!!! The fresh juice was small but fresh, the tuna was really good though the fries need to be better to match and why can't you find pepper on the tables here in Madeira!?   Nice location with a beautigul garden ambiente outside, inside is ok. If you like fish and meat its probably pretty good, but the chicken piri piri was not a good quality or good spice - maximum ok. The only vegetarian dish is a vegetarian burger which consists of 2 vegetable bulettes, nothing else. The garlic bread was freshmade, the side fries were decent and the salad had no dressing but a good variety. In the end you could go there to eat some fish but as maximum chicken eater and for vegetarian i wouldnt recommend (Traduzido pelo Google) Ótima localização com um belo ambiente de jardim por fora, por dentro está ok. They charged us 8 euro for a salad that had two leafs of lettuce, 4 pieces of tomato and cucumber. The service was horrible. The waiter was only friendly with the locals. We were waiting to pay for over ten minutes. Our waiter would see that we were looking at him and would immediately turn to look away. First time I had to ask multiple people for the check.   We found this place by Google search due to a closed restaurant my boyfriend's son knew for a diner after a visit to the marina. Joe's bar is a very nice place to go for dinner or a drink.   We walked down form the PR20 and this the first placed we heard walking in. I was immediately pulled in by the atmosphere, the music, the smells, the lovely outdoor seating. The vibe was on point and fell so good to be there for a few hours after the walk. Really enjoyed talking to the waiter, he helped us out with the rest of walk to turn it into a loop, which involved walking thorough a 2km tunnel, exciting!   Really enjoyed the piri piri chicken skewers here and it has a fun atmosphere. A major put off though for us is that the stray cats are fed by the staff nearby the outside seating so we had some sad little cats coming up to us and under our tables (none jumped up) and was a bit off-putting. Perhaps could be done much further away from dining guests? Otherwise friendly, laidback service and a really popular place.   Drove specially to this restaurant based on the Google reviews. Very slow service despite very few customers mid day and unfriendly servers. Ordered a beer, poncha, cappuccino, and two desserts. Didn’t get the beer but instead Got an espresso. Impossible to flag a server down. We asked for our bill to which the server looked at us and walked away. There was no language barrier. After quite some time, we went inside to get the bill and pay. We were also charged for an extra item on the bill. Would not recommend.   Way too expensive. Nice ambiente but the fries weren't good and the salad had no dressing at all. The calamari I had were okay, but overall the price is not justified.   The Bar lays beatiful in the middle of the small Jardim do Mar with lots of nice flowers in the entrance and the bar. The staff is overwhelming friendly, also to small children, since we went there with our daughter. The food is good, not perfect, but its a bar, not a restaurant and the portions are quite big. I esepecially would recommend the drinks, the mojitos and the madeirian poncha are highlights and very delicious.   4 weeks on the island. 6 locations. We ate out every night including a Michelin recommended in Funchal (which was great). But... the kebab here... wow! Sooooo good! Great staff. Great location. I really think making the effort to visit this little town and this bar is so worth it! There is a trendy bar we ate at in the next town (where we stayed) where kids pump loud tunes over people sunbathing all day. This wins hands down. Loved it. If you are coming from Paul Do Mar (where we stayed), take a cab. Dont be brave. The tunnel was like 40 cigs. This is a special place! Germano is a sweet, sweet soul.   The restaurant looks really nice and the food looks great, but unfortunately we did not have a good experience. When we entered the restaurant the staff ignored us and we had to ask ourselves if there was a table available. We sat down and waited for 15 minutes and still not got a menucard. Waiters were passing us but none looked at us. Other guests that entered later did get a menu card and the waiter took their orders. We decided to walk away and go to another restaurant as we did not feel welcome. This is just feedback and we would not have mind to wait 15 minutes if they would have made eyecontact or told us to wait for a bit longer.
