  Really disappointed, i don’t understand how it can be so highly rated. It’s super expensive for what it is, the mains around 20€ each with small portions, I ordered the filled squid and got only two squid with some chips (also a bad choice for a side and had to order other side), my boyfriend ordered the grouper with ginger, it was a tiny tiny portion and no taste of ginger! As for the drinks the bottles of wine start at 19€ and that it is for a bad wine. Portugal is a wine country where is not difficult to find good wine at a low price. The people behind the place clearly don’t know what they are doing. One thing is paying 60€ for a meal for 2 or even 80€ as it would have easily been but you leave fully satisfied, another thing is having to go somewhere else afterwards because you re still hungry! As pessoas por trás do lugar claramente não sabem o que estão fazendo. Uma coisa é pagar 60€ por uma refeição para 2 ou até 80€ como teria sido facilmente, mas você sai totalmente satisfeito, outra coisa é ter que ir a outro lugar depois porque ainda está com fome! Vergonha, vergonha, vergonha, roubo total!

  Didn't actually get to eat at this place. Thought the menu looked nice, so we sat down (as this had been what we'd found many places wanted us to do). The waiter was exceptionally rude and told us next time we need to ask. I said politely is there a way of knowing if you're meant to ask first. This is the second place Chef Monika opened, and it’s as great as the other just across the street — the food here is outstanding: the fava beans have been a delight to enjoy, full of taste and served with a rich sauce with a slight taste from the house made sausage it was served with. The stuffed squid was pure delight for the taste buds, squid fresh from the sea sitting in a lovely tomato sauce garnished with garlic, parsley and some more delights. I have been told from close friends that Monika spends the early morning hours preparing those squid — hats off, they’re amazing and super tasteful.   Go here! We really enjoyed this place. It was so good we ended up coming back a 2nd time during our short visit to Lagos. Service was very good. Food was interesting and delicious. Highly recommend the beet root salad, codfish salad, pork cheeks, oxtail stew, and stuffed squid. Chocolate mouse was well portioned and wonderfully chocolate-y! Only thing that was a little off putting was the wait system to get a table. The host was quite gruff when we inquired about getting a table and sent us to a line across the street. The line was not well organized, being split between people sitting in some chairs and some standing. You couldn’t tell what order people arrived in.   The food was really delicious but the sevice was an average. They come and ask what you eat, nothing special. They do not have any special souce only ketchup which is a minus point to the beef. But all in all the foods were really nice! I eat the octopus with potato, the octopus was fresh and big with the delicious marinade, the potato was juicy with pepper, olive oil and salt taste. If you are here I can recommend this food. You will not regret it even if you are too hungry , the portion of the food is enough!   Really disappointed with this restaurant, especially after reading the good reviews. We booked a table for 19:30 outside and were 8 minutes late, told our table had been given up and we had to sit inside. I wasn’t happy with this and at the attitude of the waiters. We waited until a table outside was free. There was a queue out of the door and our meal felt very rushed (2 courses done in 45 minutes). We ordered sheep’s cheese and chorizo to start, told they didn’t have the cheese when the chorizo arrived. Our mains were the steak and the pork cheeks with mash, which were just mediocre. I ordered another drink and it never came. Wouldn’t return and can’t understand the long queue outside.   Not worth wasting a meal in Lagos at this place when there’s so many other fantastic restaurants. The owner was not pleasant. Everytime we asked if a certain dish was good, he had a snarky response. “We’ll everything is popular here.” “It’s pork? So what else do you need to know?”. I thought I finally would get a nice response when I asked him what the squid was because the description just said “Lena style”. Nope lol, he replied with “it’s Lena style? That’s my mother. So you know it has rice and chorizo…”Oh okay, like what?! On top of that, he forgot two of the tapas we ordered because he was too concerned with his own meal.   Dined with family of eight on our last night in Lagos. Overall service was very good especially since they had to deal with a few changes to the menu. The anchovies, tuna with caramelized onions, veal with mushrooms and potatoes were fantastic starters. For dinner the polvo (octopus) was phenomenal as was the grouper with ginger and onion sauce. The wines they have are also very good and well paired. We are a big fans of octopus and tried this particular seafood so many times that we cannot even count.   Maybe one of the best tapas I’ve had in the Algarve. We went here as the Michelin recommendations were closed for lunch. Everything was incredibly fresh, the flavours were naturally vibrant and the cooking brought out the best. Nothing was poorly cooked, the diced steak was browned well and the prawns not dry. Service was prompt and professional with good recommendations from the waiter. I haven’t posted a picture but the squash with goats cheese was amazing. Plenty of places do the cheese and honey but here the sweetness of the squash with the salty goat cheese was fabulous and they didn’t overload it with honey to make up for a lack of flavour.   Our airbnb host had recommended this restaurant to us so she made usa reservation on our last night in Lagos. We absolutely loved it! We were waited on by someone that appeared to be the manager or owner. He was great in terms of suggestions for food and telling us whether we were ordering too much or too little. We had the ham croquettes (freshly made) which melted in your mouth, the braised chorizo which was cooked right in front of you, and the goat cheese with honey and almonds which was to die for. Our main dishes were the grouper (also melted in your mouth) and the stuffed squid. Honestly, everything was cooked to perfection and the service was perfect. They checked in as needed but weren't constantly on top of you either. It was the perfect meal to cap off our trip to Portugal.   The lamb stew with french fries - I strongly DO NOT reccomand! You will get only bones without meat with stale bread portions inside (I wasn't event able to cut it). Deffinitely nobody from stuff and chief saw the real stew before... Portions are tiny in comparison to price. The waiter becomes very unkind when you share your opinion. He informed me that I am not the first guest with same obserwation however they didn't do anything to improve it. Exceptionally only fries are very tasty. Deffinitely I won't come back here!   Nice place, nicely presented, nice service but... the food left us a little disappointed, although the menu looked so promising! 1. Fish soup was more of a noodle soup with some fish inside (literally plate full of noodles!) 2. Azores tuna was simply a canned tuna put on a plate, topped with marinated pepper, avocado, tomato and cream. Couldn't resist to think that I could just buy it in a supermarket... 3. Stuffed mushroom tasted OK but it looked as if it was just heated up (maybe it was just the look of the cheese on top) 4. Pork neck was good, however the fancy name on the menu suggested something more Generally the place is OK, but the way menu is presented misleads people a lot.
