  I had butter chicken and a naan for main course. And mango mousse for dessert. The butter chicken quantity is perfect for just one person and the quantity goes well with one naan. The taste was also good. For PPL with no appetite for spicines butter chicken can be your goto dish here. The dinner costed me around 18 euros.   Outstanding service and delicious North Indian food served at this quaint restaurant in Lagos. One of the members in our group had special dietary restrictions (Jain Food) and the team at Kohinoor not only accommodated us but also prepared mouth watering dishes off the menu.   Visited this restaurant on my short trip to Lagos . Food was delicious , we tried malai kofta , daal tadka , paneer makhni and variety of naan and everything was absolutely tasty. The staff and the owners are super friendly and very nice people . Definitely recommend it for a flavourful dining experience.   We were staying at Salty Lodge next door to this restaurant. We had planned to go elsewhere that evening but sat on our rooftop terrace the wonderful aromas coming from Kohinoor changed all our minds. We weren't disappointed, everything we had was superbly cooked and spiced deliciously. The service was friendly and efficient without being rushy or overbearing. Our waiter explained that they use a specific type of chilli in their dishes, hence the particular flavour. I tried to obtain some from a local asian spice market but had no luck - so our waiter friend was good enough to give us some to take home with us. Also great value for money. Being Indian, I had Indian food all the time but I was pleasantly surprised with quality of the food here at this awesome place. Naan here is something extraordinary.   The staff is very rude except the Punjabi Indian Guy. There is a big fat old lady staff barging around the restaurant like a Bull who is extremely rude and arrogant who pushed my Pregnant Partner in the restaurant.   Fantasticly Delicious Tandoori, Great Service We sat outside and ordered the Koohinoor Special and Sheek Kebab Tandoori with medium sauce: It was all delicious. We both ended-up with leftovers. I think that either would be sufficient for two people, if ordered with a side of rice or extra bread. We ordered the fried shrimp appetizer, and it was also delicious. We especially liked the flavorful white sauce that came with it (it came with two sauces). We finally ate here on the last day before a new Lockdown. My wife told me that I'll be walking here several times during the Lockdown to get the Koohinoor Special for each of us! I am excited and looking forward to it. The free WiFi was OK.   We stopped at the Indian restaurant Kohinoor for a tasty meal I did not leave unsatisfied. After have accurately scrutinized the vegetarian section of the menu we picked three dishes accompanied by fried rice. Forgive my ignorance but I cannot recall all the names of the dishes. We picked a sauce made with lentils and (of course) lots of spices that was insanely delicious. The second choice was delicious a butter based dish called vegetable Korma. Whereas, the last was was amazing chickpeas curry. My favorite was the lentil one but it took me awhile to decide as all of the them were really tasty!   My wife and I visited the Kohinoor restaurant in February 2018. Till this day I think about how good the food is. It is the best Indian food I have ever had in my life and that is an understatement. The flavours match the freshness of the ingredients. Every dish was perfect. The hospitality was second to none as the owner of the restaurant sat down with us as we exchanged stories about our heritage and travels. If you are ever in Lagos, Portugal this restaurant is a must. To the owner: I apologize for such a late reply we have recently been travelling and we have yet to find another Indian restaurant as good as yours. Keep up the great service. Cheers!   Me and my friends were on a vacation to Lagos for four days. We planned to visit old town during our stay and this very beautiful day we went for our excursion to see the caves and after the excursion we planned to visit old town. As it was approaching lunch time we popped in to this restaurant without knowing it will be a worse nightmare of our holiday. We ordered our food and some drinks and being a tourist we didn’t know the opening times and closing times(we are on holiday I don’t need to really think of timings) so we ordered some more drinks and waiter took our order and came back with drinks. Five minutes later he comes back and asked us to finish our drinks and leave as they were closing(which they never mentioned before taking order or before we sat on the table). We told the waiter we will leave as soon as we finish drinks and of course we can’t just down our drinks. So waiter absolutely went out of order and started arguing like a maniac. He also ASKED IF WE HAVE JOBS how dare! To top all this he mentioned he does not let Indian come to his restaurant and does not offer service/table to Indians. SO IF YOU ARE INDIAN YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT WELCOMED. - ONE WORD RACIST and please avoid if you can.   Visited Kohinoor during our holiday to Portugal at the end of April 19. We ordered lunch and some drinks. The afternoon was going really well. We ordered more drinks when they arrived the restaurant decided to inform us they are closing in 5mins and we should drink up. When we spoke to one member of staff they were very abusive and told me i should know when they close. I was asked if I had a job and they didn't like serving Asian people and should not have taken my order. I have never been abused like this very arrogant staff/manager. They need lessons in customer service. Please reconsider before you go here as they don't like Indian customers. Very disappointed and cant believe how places like this can carry on operating like this. Disgusting abusive place.   The restaurant is small and a bit dark. But the food is great. Had butter chicken medium spicy which was just perfect. Very aromatic. The chicken pieces were tender & jucy. The naan bread was a bit too doughy for my taste. Like it better if it's more crispy. But it was made fresh and was still warm when it arrived. Service friendly & attentive. Price was okay too.   Fabulous luch time set menu. Def worth a visit. Update Oct 19. No set menu as I guess it was still high season. We had lamb bhuna and lamb balti. I asked for mine to be spicey. Other than the fact that mine was spicy I would say there wasn't a big deal of difference between the two dishes. The sprinkling of fresh coriander was a nice touch, but am not sure that it didn't take some if the suttle flavours away. Over all its still good value on the menu.   Lovely curries, good sangria and well priced beers. I would have liked faster service (we waited nearly half an hour for our food) and the lamb korma was a bit too sweet.   Good food. Customer service should be better. Ordered 2 meals for take out that should be eaten with rice, but none was included. If they would have told me this I would have gladly paid for it. However, eating a curry with no rice is half a meal. I also ordered naan, again not fearing price, but only got one.
