  Our chicken and steak meals were good and the veggies and fries were awesome. Our female server was excellent and worked hard all night. The two male staff were completely useless and spent their time socializing all night. Not fair to their coworker. I don't mind tourism but getting to this reataurant and being asked to speak in English because they can't speak the country's native and official language is disheartening. Drawback prices are on a higher side (placece is on a busy street) but by not by much to compare. Still we loved stake and will award 5 stars !!!   The waitress was rude and apparently did not place our order. One never knows since she never bothered to extend the courtesy of an explanation or return to our table. By the time the food arrived (over an hour and a half after the appetizer) it was too late to enjoy. The price exceeded the amount listed on the menu and one item never arrived but made it onto the bill. Don't waste time or energy in line for a mediocre and pricey experience. The restaurant next door was amazing by comparison and those servers know how to make you welcome. Will not be recommending to any of my legal colleagues. The food was amazing (Angus Burger), the quality was second to none and the person who assisted us (Sara) was just the perfect host. She speaks English perfectly well, she was well-mannered and caring, offered recommendations without hesitation and was extra helpful at all times. Barely had we seen such a great host in a restaurant before. We were given a table upstairs on the upper terrace and we were in for a great night. We’ll repeat the experience for sure.   Hello - we went to this restaurant yesterday for dinner. The servers and the service is excellent. I ordered the 10oz Ribeye (29 Euros) and my son ordered the 10oz Filet/tenderloin. The steaks were cooked to the right heat - medium rare. However, these steaks were poor quality. If you are from Canada or the US and you have had Prime or Select/AAA, these steaks were a AA (US Select) at best. My ribeye had very little marbling, and was rather chewy. Now a Tenderloin/Filet simply melts in your mouth, however my son's filet was again chewy. Both steaks had no flavor and we ordered no sauces as I believe if you have a good aged steak, it should have flavor with no sauces. We did let the manager know and he was very polite and a bit surprised that we find his steaks mediocre. But if you have had a good Ribeye in Prime or AAA/Choice, then these steaks, which are advertised as being very good/wet aged and cut when ordered etc, then these steaks at Don Toro will be sub-standard and rather pricey.   A nice steakhouse. It’s quite pleasant to eat on it’s balcony where it feels like eating outside while you’re protected from the strong evening wind which could be chilly even at the heart of summer. They don’t take reservations between 8.30 and 9.30 pm during the high season so it’s on a first come first served basis during this time slot. Appetizers are average at best but steaks and burgers are ok. The steak salade was a nice surprise as it comes with a whole steak, so it’s a good option if you want to skip the fries. Chips which were made of real unpeeled potato slices and coleslaw salad of purple cabbage in creamy dressing were fine.   I agree with previous reviewers on the quality of the food. My 7oz ribeye steak was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. My husband 's beef burger was generous and flavourful with a killer aioli sauce. The waiters were cheerful and attentive. I ordered a single glass of red wine and my only regret was that there was only one red available by the glass. I'm amazed that the restaurant wasn't at all busy - even though it's a Monday evening.   Quite possibly one of the best steaks we've had in a long time. I had the 10oz rib eye with shrimp and blue cheese sauce. My wife had a 7oz sirloin with a chimichurri sauce, both cooked medium rare to perfection. Our daughter of 10 also had a medium sirloin and son of 11 had a burger and both cleaned their plates.   Very over priced, mediocre food and poo customer service. I made a reservation for my husband's birthday over a week before we wanted to visit, when we arrived they did not have the reservation and insisted our names were different than they were. When we did get seated, we ordered drinks. 2 Aperitifs and a bottle of wine. There was only 2 of us and the wine came at the same time as the Aperitifs and we had to ask them not to serve the wine yet. Starters came out even before the drinks arrived, so very much a sense of being rushed like we were an inconvenience to them. Starters - Mozzarella sticks : bought in from frozen & Garlic Mushrooms : lacked the garlic they were just mushrooms in ALOT of olive oil, no flavour and not nice at all. Steaks : very mediocre for the price, with bought in chips & the slaw was just red cabbage and raisins in a watery sauce. A very big disappointment given that this restaurant has been around for a while, advertises everywhere and has 2 locations. Almost 90.00 euros for 2 of us with no desserts.   Vegan burger is amazing, so tasty, and I've struggled to find enough vegan food with any flavour here. According to travel buddy the steak with garlic butter was amazing and tender as was the chicken and the cheese cake was delicious. All really generous as well. Then the customer service didnt care when we complained about the sauce and just complately ignored us.   After seafood for days in Lagos. I went there as a change of pace because of the steak. Great steak, grass fed beef. I have been to Argentina multiple times and its similar or imported from there.   Friendly staff, amazing steaks We had an outside table on a very warm evening for a delicious meal of beef. The staff are very friendly, happy in having a conversation with you. Looking at the menu raised an issue with the House Wine at €7 for 1/2Lt or €14 for a bottle (75cl), it doesn’t take much more than 3 brain cells to work out that 2 x 1/2lt is the better value, if you like wine. We had a salad starter, bread, water, 2 carafes of Vinho Tinto. My better half chose the special of a delicious perfectly cooked sirloin steak served with coleslaw, onion rings, fried sliced potatoes and pepper sauce for €14. I chose the ‘Picanha’ (strips of cap of Rump) which was very tasty but a tad over cooked than the medium rare that I ordered, served with slaw and fried sliced potatoes. The potatoes are crispy hand cut with skins on and not at all greasy, much better than the usual chips or fries. The total of €57 ended a lovely meal.   Unfortunately after 7 years of going here this time the servivice fell short. The mains came before the starters had been cleared so had to jostle with plates. Then the filet came full of fat and undercooked. When I pointed it out to the server she apologised and said it was mentioned to the staff but no resolution was offered. When it was time to pay, the staff asked if we enjoyed our meal and I again mentioned the issue and they had no knowledge of it, however a member of the staff said they speak to a superior witch lead to a mere reduction of a starter witch did not reflect half of the cost of the main. They stated that because I had eaten half of my main they could not reduce further. Unfortunately this will be the last time I will be going there.   We had the garlic shrimps that were quite ok, ribs which just tasted like plain pork meat and the picanha that was ordered medium but came almost raw and was so chewy that I couldn't eat it. I won't visit this place again.   We had a large party of six people and ordered almost every appetizer. The appetizers were very average. Steaks were good and cooked as ordered but again nothing to rave about.
