  Tried this restaurant on our first night in Lisbon, we were so surprised how gorgeous the food was. I got the chorizo pizza and my partner the double BBQ burger. We got the Mac and cheese as a starter. Everything was super fresh, full of flavour and fairly priced. Easily one of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at and I’d recommend it again and again!! Also, our server Bianca was so lovely and made the experience even better.   This was favorite with me, my BF, and brother- we went twice in a week! It’s a small restaurant with fun decor serving delicious vegan comfort foods! We tried their Mac and cheese, onion rings (my fave), 3 types of tacos, 3 pizzas, and for dessert a brownie! The pesto pizza was my brother’s favorite and BF liked the tacos 🌮 The prices were amazing and the service was wonderful!   I live in Norway and I keep traveling to Lisbon for this place. I love it. I love the hip hop atmosphere, the amazing service, the esthetics of the place (quaint but cool), but mainly I love the food. As a vegetarian I guess the best compliment I can give is that I never feel the need to explain that this place is vegan, I just tell people that the food is amazing, because I genuinely think herbivores, omnivores, AND carnivores will love it.   Place smelt like rotten socks. Stale smell was emanating from everywhere. Given a table rammed to the wall when the place was practically empty inside. Nothing was noteworthy- we ordered loaded nachos, pizza, fries, momos, garlic bread - basically everything that was supposed to be good.   Went here for lunch and I have to say that I've been to many places and here so far is one of the best places to eat a vegan pizza! Will come back for sure to try many other things from the menu. The first time I had tacos and a Portuguese cake, on my second visit I ordered garlic bread and fish & chips. Everything was as least plant based or vegan.   Our first meal in Lisbon & this one was a hit! We had been traveling for forever, awake too long & without enough food. We took a short walk from our hotel to Plant Base, an all vegan eatery, just down the street. We started off with the Mac & Cheeze which was a 10/10, topped with a bacony fried onion garnish & rich/creamy. We devoured it. We got the Special Burger & the spicy Seitan tacos, as well as some coffees & NA beers with the meal. Everything hit the spot & the service was super friendly & accommodating.   I had a really great dinner here today. The food was really delicious and filling (my server kindly packed my starter in a box for me to take away as I was too full to finish it). My pizza was the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. The service was also great thanks to my attentive and friendly waitress who I had a nice chat with.   We were looking for a vegan place for our family of 3 vegetarian and 1 vegan. We LOVED the food and the service here. Srujan helped us with taking our orders. He is absolutely the best. We ordered: onions rings, Chariso tacos, the spicy habanero taco, bbq burger, chilly milk to share and a Jack fruit pizza. Yes, we were super hungry as we walked all day and our lunch was not great. We all the kids included feel in love with the habanero taco. We ordered another round as a dessert (I know, I know) the chef made it “extra” spicy, but this round was perfect spicy as an Indian. My 11year old ate with with no sweat. And I had Bollywood dance going in my mouth. Wish we had another day or another meal to have here, coz this would have been our go to place for two nights we stayed here at Lisbon. Thank you for your lovely hospitality and yummy food.   I really like this place. Not a vegan but the food is well prepared, flavorful, & very reasonably priced. I had the nachos twice and I definitely recommend. Very flavorful.   We went to have lunch and ordered some fries and pizzas. Unfortunately the fries were the frozen kind, regarding the pizzas the dough was great and with good flavour, sadly both pizzas were very greasy. Regarding the atmosphere the decor is pretty and modern, but it can get very hot inside and there was no AC. The place we're the restaurant is located also means you are constantly being bombarded by car honks. The server was very nice and professional.   I am sure the pizza is good, I can see it, unfortunately at 20.30 no pizza for clients sitting. Wow. I am here to give you a favor: remember that service, welcome, costumer care are as important as food. I am Italian and worked for 10 years in restaurants of many kinds and targets. I had to leave because I was there for the pizza.. but some pizzas TO GO (!) we’re there for clients not sitting. This is a huge mistake in restoration. I was not told what was missing from the menu when arrived. Next time I won’t take any drinks that I had also to pay. No solutions were suggested. these things don’t grow any fidelity (you don’t earn just from tourism as many May think) Upsetting loosing time-money when clients are fancy and curious to try and pay for nice food and service. Lucky with your stuff tho, nice and welcoming, not common in portugal.   Myself and my partner recently visited Plant Base, it had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff were attentive and positive. The menu offers a selection of more vegan ‘junk’ food, made from a variety of plant foods from vegetables to seitan. We went for the Tex-Mex options of nachos to start, which were very tasty with a vegan cheese sauce, guac and pico. Afterwards I had the chorizo tacos and my partner had the seitan tacos which meant we could share and taste both flavours. Although the tacos were delicious, the portions were on the small side and we were left feeling a little hungry. Despite being a bit small, it was all very tasty and the margaritas we had to drink were delicious!   Since i am on vacation in Lisbon i wanted to go to as many vegan restaurants possible, so i found Plantbase randomly. The food (hot dog and fries) was really delicious, prices are completely okay and the waitress with the long curly hair was so kind! Would come here again and try other dishes.   If you like vegan junk food, you’ll love it! I was especially drawn in by the look of the pizza dough. The pizza dough is as good as it looks, but the toppings/tomato sauce could be better. The beyond burger was really nice, but I was quite disappointed with the patty. It’s thin? Beyond patties aren’t thin? It’s like they cut the patties in half to save money? I don’t think that’s fair, especially for €11.   I'll start by saying that I am not vegan and neither is my partner - we are vegetarian. The soft drinks here were excellent, no idea why we don't sell them in the UK! The nachos were amazing and a decent sized portion, so I definitely recommend those. We had the 'chorizo' tacos and the seitan tacos as mains. We didn't like either of them unfortunately. I thought the 'chorizo' one was oddly sweet and had a mushy texture and I didn't like the texture of the seitan one. I'd say the tacos were also overpriced, considering there was no sauce on them or fries alongside. I think if you're vegan and enjoy meat substitutes a lot, it's probably very nice food, but it wasn't for us.   We are so grateful for the experience we made at this local Restaurant. The Vegan food was the best we had in Lisboa and is in the top three of our all time Restaurantfoods. The Nachos are incredible! Everything we had was fresh and tasty. The Location was good, only the music was a bit loud for having a Dinner. But that was everything that we found to criticise.   Delicious and creative vegan junk food, reasonably priced, and very central! I ate here twice during my time in Lisbon. The macaroni cheese was PERFECT (I had it both times). I also had a pizza which was delicious and unusual (though a touch dry but I think this was just the particular topping cobo) — it was the mushroom pizza with walnuts and a lemon seasoning. I also had the momos which were a very generous portion, but I found them a little overdone and crunchy compared with other momos I've had. The staff were super friendly, polite and helpful.   I had high hopes for this place after reading loads of amazing reviews. The food let it down massively. We ordered the momos which were nothing like momos I've had before whilst traveling in Asia, the dough was made of a thick pastry like crust which was thoroughly overcooked they were literally inedible. I have to say the waitress with the curly hair was so lovely and wanted to know what was wrong with them so they could make changes, great customer service there. It wasn't just the rock hard momos that let us down. Me and my partner are both vegan and we took my mum and my sister there who aren't vegan, my sister ordered the momos and my mum had the beyond meat burger which was an absolute joke. The beyond meat burger had been so squashed down there was no burger left, honestly I've bever seen such a thin burger in my life and beyond burgers are thick and juicy, I've had enough to know. Dont know if they are cutting the burger in half and just using half per burger or what but wow what a joke and such a disappointment for my family. Potato pizza was the highlight i have to say but so stingy with the sausage topping, barely even a crumble of sausage. O além do hambúrguer de carne estava tão amassado que não sobrou nenhum hambúrguer, honestamente, eu nunca vi um hambúrguer tão fino na minha vida e além dos hambúrgueres são grossos e suculentos, já tive o suficiente para saber. Não sei se eles estão cortando o hambúrguer ao meio e usando apenas metade por hambúrguer ou o quê, mas uau, que piada e uma decepção para minha família. A pizza de batata foi o destaque que devo dizer, mas tão mesquinha com a cobertura de salsicha que mal chegava a esfarelar a salsicha.

  As a non vegan, I must say I was so incredibly surprised that I had to ask for the recipe myself. The waitress was very nice and welcoming and actually took the time to answer all our questions. I had the pizza chorizo and my gf had the pizza capricciosa, both were absolutely incredible but what sold it for me was the tiramisu with a hint of orange at the end.   Super amazing food in a variety of cuisines. Loved the onion rings! The momo were also tasty. The artichoke onion pizza was so good, fantastic chewy crust.   Highly recommended vegan place! I was desperately looking for a vegan place which actually serves some dishes with protein and I got really lucky there. Within my short stay in lisbon I came here twice just to try more of the great food they offer. My absolut favourite were the tacos with seitan. They look very simple but we’re so delicious with the fresh coriander and lime. Second come the loaded nachos, than the pizza and fried momos. The tiramisu is also worth trying.   Really great place. Cheese and Bacon Burger was as good as a real burger! The Momo's were all good. But the burger trump's it. Staff were great and very happy.   Amazing waitress and food. Had the loaded nachos and a beer for €9 which was really decent and the nachos were amazing! Had been to several other vegan restaurants at the same time (4pm on a Sunday) and they were either closed or full! This place was almost empty. Quite dark and small so imagine it is harder to get a table later but the nachos were excellent, some of the best I’ve had, and the waitress was super lovely.   This small and cozy restaurant in the old centre of Lisbon has a great vibe, and specialises in vegan junk food, serving pizzas, tacos, and momos, which all looked divine. We started off with some loaded nachos, and were presented with a very generous portion of nachos, covered in guacamole and a malty vegan cheese. Definitely a great way to start the meal. We also had some mac n’ cheese, which was a little bit disappointing, but I wouldn’t say it was bad. For mains we had the prego sandwich, which is a beyond meat burger on bolo do caco bread, with a delicious mustard sauce. Definitely the star of the show. We also had the potato and beyond sausage pizza. I’m always a bit weary of vegan pizzas, but this Neapolitan-style pizza did not the disappoint.   This was a brilliant find on my trip to Lisbon. My Lisbon friend apologised to me before I arrived that there wouldn’t be vegan food in Lisbon - she was wrong!!! Not only is this exciting vegan food done at its best, but the whole methodology aligns so beautifully with why we invest in the vegan community. It’s a kitchen-think-tank based on friendship, no-waste ethics, and space for creative inventiveness to help people with their start up ideas. The staff are great, the food is top notch and the prices are excellent. Only problem is I couldn’t finish all of Momos and Spicy Bananas as they were much more generous than I realised! Read through the magazine/menu if you have time - it’s a great read to learn about this ethical kitchen and you’ll walk out feeling really great about your decision to visit/invest.   Great little vegan restaurant; the owners and staff are on a mission to dispel the myths about vegan food being bland and boring! The menu is great for vegans, and those who eat meat but would like to try vegan food. The food on the menu is all dishes a meat eater would recognise, just with plant based alternatives. Loved reading the booklet/menu which explains the concept behind Plant Base, and that the owners created this space (to encourage and nurture vegan chefs) after visiting London and seeing what an amazing vegan dining scene we have.   The dish (Eggplant Tika Massala) I had was a disgrace. The eggplant was soaked in oil (even after emptying the plate - I was hungry and it was busy so service was extremely slow, so didnt both sending it back - there was still so much oil left), had a tiny single piece of tomato (would expect a tomato paste based curry), lacked any Indian spices or flavor and was just as spicy as the average Pasteis de Nata (hence, literally zero spiciness despite it being marked with 5 chilli peppers on the menu) and the coconut cream never left the coconut I guess. The menu itself fell apart and was a bit filthy, and should be renewed. Rereading the reviews here I don’t understand why this place is rated so high, I see this tendency with every vegan restaurant, people just celebrating there is vegan food, but somehow forget that it still should be tasty and forget to critically review the food. Noticed one person making a similar remark on the eggplant curry (oily, no spices etc) so they fail to take feedback onboard and improve their menu. I provided the feedback to the waiter, so let’s hope they will improve this time because I do have a lot of sympathy for places like this, but they will have to improve. Staff was friendly though.   Lunch was so amazing that my wife and I came back again for dinner. For lunch we enjoyed Pakoras, a serving of Momos (Nepalese dumplings in sauce), and a pizza which was both cooked to perfection AND had the best vegan pizza cheese we've tasted yet (and we've got over 30 vegan years between us). Dinner was takeaway: two pizzas and a garlic bread. The "Better than Mac" pizza has reached that eerie valley moment: it really tasted like we remember Big macs and our mouths experienced moments of hesitation as alarm bells rang alerting brains to the fact this "wasn't vegan".   Unfortunately I could not eat inside because I forgot to bring my rapid covid test (my mistake of course) but the staff were so super nice, patient & cool… we got takeaway… a pizza, (sausage and potato… it has some other Italian name but I don’t remember haha) and oh my goodness it was perfect! I’ve had a lot of vegan pizzas in my 8 years of veganism and the thick gooey layer of flavourful cheeses really was the best I’ve had! We got loaded nachos too and oh my goodness, definitely best nachos I’ve gotten too… instead of a layer of toppings and then lots of dry chips under, there were layers of gooey, saucy, tasty flavourfulness and crunch on every layer. I will be back very soon… the drinks (except beer) you can’t takeaway… and I just HAVE to try items from that super cool hip hop themed cocktail menu.   Wow, amazing place. We had the nachos which were way more than we anticipated as a "starter" with lots of guacamole. Could have been a little better with unsalted tortilla chips. The carrot tacos were delicious, and spicy, especially with the green salsa. The cauliflower curry was more subtle, good, but not as amazing as the others in my opinion. Fresh pineapple juice with mint was perfect. The server was friendly and funny.
