Seen was in my hotel so decided to check it out. We were immediately impressed with the lively vibe and beautiful views of the city. There was even a streetwear popup at the entrance and a DJ in the back. They sequestered us to the far corner of the restaurant which actually offered great views. We went for our anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was really nice and wine was great too. I found that the service could improve in terms of English language skills but they were super kind and helpful. We had an excellent view over the sea but there’s one big issue in the atmosphere: the music on the balcony is very loud and doesn’t lend itself to a relax and romantic atmosphere. Also the service charge was not included in the bill which was really amazing! Usually the restaurants at this level charge people by default. You guys have to go here, its next level! I had made a reservation weeks before going to Lisbon as I saw how popular it was. We had a nice seat view overlooking the Skybar. The food and drinks were super good. The servers could have been a little friendlier, but I don't mind as long as they're not rude. After dinner I saw the Skybar wasn't super crowded and we were able to find a seat. I did see a few come out of curiosity not dressed up, but most people were dressed to impress, or at least business casual. There was a DJ playing chill music and a nice evening breeze. A very hip and popular place. Nothing for a romantic candlelight dinner, as the music is then too dominant. Service from picking up by the hostess at the bar to service at the table and all around, excellent and worth the money. The dishes were 9/10. The Cod Seenuggets were very tender, the Lobster Roll was super fresh, the Seen Taco incredibly well seasoned with a pleasant acidity. For the main course we had the truffle linguini, a bit boring in terms of seasoning. I would have liked the pasta to be a little more al dente. I had indicated a food allergy before ordering and I was assured that it would be taken care of. Sauces provided on the side as a result. I was not comfortable that the server understood that they needed to verify all ingredients. Of course he didn't and I found that the allergin was in all of the sauces. What a horrendous disappointment. Booked this place for dinner and drinks as it seemed to have quite a good reputation. The most pompous over rated place I’ve ever stepped foot in. We arrived a couple of minutes early and the hostess brought us to the bar to order a drink, before we could order a drink we were brought to our table, which I’m not complaining about. But then we were seated at an extremely dark grungy table with deafening music playing beside us. Four waiting staff must have passed us 20 times completely disregarding our presence. We were seated right beside the staff kiosk so there was no need for us to be sitting there for 20 odd minutes without any acknowledgement. We had 2 glasses of sparkling water and we ended up leaving as we were so disappointed with the initial service we didn’t want to spend money on the extortionate prices for what this place really was. When we were leaving we politely stated to the hostess that we were going to go elsewhere and that we just simply had been waiting unattended for too long, we then went to pay for our water ( which in my opinion coming from a hospitality background, your immediate reaction would be not to charge) but the hostess had to go into the bar and speak with them about us paying for it. Amazing experience in here last night! A friend was visiting and we tried to get a reservation for dinner, which unfortunately we didn’t as they were fully booked. I reserved this place 3 months in advance in order to a seat outside or by the window but as soon as they see you they will judge you on if you have money or not. They leave those nice seats for the very rich people. They gave us a very dark corner so we chose not to eat there. We went to their sky bar for a drink and to enjoy the view. The tables there are not free you have to pay to sit down. We took our drinks at the bar standing up and left right away. They have attitudes and they don’t treat you equally to the other guests. We had a very negative experience. Got drinks at the bar and asked for a table to order food. Had dinner here but not as guests of the hotel and felt we were put in a table away from other diners so the atmosphere was very flat. The starter and main were absolutely fabulous but the deserts were very very poor, they cost 15e and when we pointed out to the waitress that the soufflé was so bad it could not be eaten her response was the desert chef was not having a good day ! The other chocolate desert was so big it would have been enough for two which they should have said and instead we left over half and it was such a waste . The soufflé was more like a soup and we thought least they would do was deduct from the bill. It was also very cold in the restaurant and the front of house staff were not very pleasant. For a 5 star restaurant and the price tag to go with it I would avoid eating here as there are so many other fabulous places to eat in Lisbon. This is a cool restaurant and club with a veranda overlooking the city. There is great music being played by a DJ. The staff attitude is pretentious starting with the host who asked us to wait at the bar for a few minutes in an almost empty restaurant. We would have had a drink at the bar but the bartendress could not make her way over to us in the 15 minutes we were waiting so we gave up on the cocktail. Once seated we were finally able to order food and wine. Initially we had an excellent server but as the restaurant filled up she disappeared and we were back to waving down someone for service. One of the most amazing fine dining experiences in Lisbon. I've been looking into the restaurants by Chef Olivier and this stood out despite the rest being equally as good. Went for dinner with family and could not have any complaints. I went here with my girlfriend and it was a very cool environment and venue. First off, the food was top tier. It was the best sushi and Tenderloin I had in Lisboa. My girlfriend had the burger and described it as exquisite. The truffled potato puree was also out of this world. Good viewpoint, prices above average but that's understandable for such a place, and the cocktails were good. The atmosphere is nice, but the evening we were here, clients were a bit of show-offs without manners, speaking loud and sending intent looks to women. It could have easily been perfect. This restaurant will go down in our books as one of the most beautiful restaurants and also the most amazing server Raphael. The view and the ambiance is truly spectacular. We ate this restaurant (twice) and the food was absolutely delicious. The winning dish for us was the Truffled Linguine and the Sliced Wagyu for sure. If we ever return to Lisbon, We are certain that we will return to this restaurant and definately ask for Raphael to be our server. First place in Lisbon where you need a dress code, and when you reserve no one tells you this. So, I reserved a table for my name, they confirmed it. Then we took a taxi and it took us 30 minutes to get to the restaurant, we were hungry and exhausted. We came with my boyfriend in casual clothes, kinda sporty look and the receptionist told me there is a dress-code and sport clothes is not allowed, he told that in the message on the phone this information may appear, there really was a message on the phone, but no information about wearing certain kind of clothes and receptionist was acting rude like it’s our fault. We don’t look messy, nor we look bad, just sporty casual clothes. First time I’m getting this kind of treatment and no apologies at all. Thank you, we will never come again. Requested a reservation via email which took them a couple of days to respond but after that everything was great. The selection of dishes available on the were varied. We had the beetroot carpaccio to start with which just melted in your mouth and I then had the truffle linguine which was divine. Had the ice cream for dessert which was delicious. If there’s one place you have to visit for a special occasion with friends, family or your other half - you really cannot go wrong with this fantastic and phenomenally stylish rooftop restaurant. I’ve been to many places similar to Seen across the world but where Seen excels is that staff - nothing was too much to ask for and the attentiveness and friendliness is another level. Many high-end restaurants certainly can learn a thing or two from the waiting staff and management of this venue. The food was tasty, looked beautiful and very well thought out - we started with the truffle ponzu edamame, wagyu gyoza and foie gras and finished with mains of truffle linguini and steak tartar. I couldn’t fault a thing. The venue - well you just have to go there to experience it. Situated on top of a very classy 5 star hotel, the whole experience visiting from start to finish was delightful. Highly recommended. Great views, nice atmosphere, and the food and drinks are excellent. Recommend a reservation before the sun goes down to see the water, stay until after dark to see the city at night. We had house specialty cocktails, sushi, and dessert - all were great. All staff seem to speak English effectively. As ever in Lisbon, do not drink and eat in a hurry, they are happy for you to stay at your table for hours. Very rude staff. We were told that the tables at the bar area are first come, first serve basis. We were waiting for 2 hours standing up with our drinks. Finally when the table was available the waiter Sam gave the table to someone else saying that the group of 4 people was more important ( than just 2 ) as they will order more stuff for the table. Made our reservation weeks in advance, ahead of our trip to Lisbon, as we were truly looking forward to a great dining experience. Showed up early in the hopes of a pre-dinner cocktail, but were turned away at the door by the hostess because one of our group was wearing sandals in the 37c heat (note: the hostess was also wearing sandals). We had specifically worn nice outfits and were very suitably “casual chic” as the (vague) dress code specified. Overall disappointed that places like this still exist in 2022. Apparently Seen is more interested in arbitrarily enforcing vague dress codes, than in ensuring an enjoyable evening or providing friendly service (or making money). It’s actually sad to be honest. That being said, we saved ourselves €1,000, and from the other reviews, avoided bad service, obnoxiously-loud music, and average food. Hope that €1k loss was worth it for the owner… god forbid someone wear sandals in his restaurant 😂 Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, unless you place more value on being Seen, than on enjoying nice food. Otherwise, take your money to any of the dozens of other great restaurants in Lisbon. As a foodie who’s eaten at many a Michelin starred restaurant, this was no big loss. Arrived at seen Lisboa , Iv been here many times at many different events eaten in the restaurant and had many drinks in the sky bar with never any problems. The man was very rude at the laptop looked at me up and down and told me that I was dressed to causal and they didn’t except shorts even though it was 37 degree heat which is laughable. I was so shocked to here this because I was certainly dressed appropriately for any occasion, I made my way to every other rooftop bar close by and was treated respectfully with no problems. The place holds this high opinion of themselves I would recommend treating every customer with respect you just never know who might walk through your doors. This was the best meal I’ve ever had in my entire life. If you’re in Lisbon you have to go here. The spicy tuna roll was the best I’ve had and the Wasabi Papi was my favorite cocktail of our trip. The ambience was perfect and the service was amazing. We sat by this sweet couple celebrating a birthday and they found out it was mine too so they shared their bday cake with us. Such a fun time!!! My group was turned away at the door because one of our male friends was wearing shorts that were « too sporty » according to the man at the reception (who was incredibly rude). We were fully aware of the casual chic dress code, which we abided by but apparently not to this man’s standards. The most frustrating thing was on our way out when we ran into a couple that had just finished eating there and was wearing the exact same pair of shorts as my friend who was denied entry. I think this was an ageism situation as we (my group) are all in our mid twenties and received the stink eye as soon as we walked in. We are very disappointed. Despite the table reservation we waited for almost an hour standing without being offered at least a welcome drink. The girl who took us to the table was kind, she apologized and said she would send us something at the expense of the house which of course did not happen. Style over substance Having eaten in some wonderful places in Lisbon, this was a little disappointing. There was nothing wrong as such - the food was nice and the service friendly. However it’s spectacularly expensive. For example €41 for a small lobster roll with literally no sides. We are similar in Time Out market for 1/3 the price and that had chips ! Whilst I accept it’s a 5* hotel, the restaurant downstairs is way better value - and we ate in a Michelin star restaurant 500 metres away which was off the scale better in every respect. Service was good. A place for "see and be seen" pre-club partiying instead of fine dinning. Ridiculously expensive, for the food quality was absolutely awful. And I am wheighting my words. Very noisy. Bad house music.Cocktails were mediocre. No more than a 15 mins delay is allowed in order to keep your reservation (that you have to confirm twice if on weekends) but, ironically, it took us longer to sit. First, reservation check before being allowed to take the elevator, then again when you get to the right floor. Waiting again. Finally, they open this big black courtain and take you to your table. An excellent spot for a treat at the end of a holiday. We started with drinks at the sky bar which were delicious, but pricey compared to other bars… but thats to be expected. If you want a great evening you need to make a reservation. We got there early and enjoyed an amazing view from the Sky bar with some drinks. One of the best restaurants that I visited during my trip. The burger is up there with Hans im Gluck in germany, joint first place. Very tasty and well done. Decor is amazing so good for family celebrations or date nights. Cocktails come at a premium but my amaretto sour tasted top notch. The chocolate mousse dessert is a must try. Texture was lovely. This place is great. Reservations are recommended. It fills up fast. We didn’t have one, they sent us to the rooftop bar to wait. The rooftop bar has great views of the city and good music. There is a smaller restaurant menu up there as well. We were contacted for restaurant seating after half an hour. The restaurant was beautiful inside. The waiters were friendly as could be. I have decided to spend my anniversary and booked a table for the 15th of July around 8pm This place is considered on of the top restaurants in Lisbon and the moment after our arrival - which I must say it was bellow average, no professional reception for a luxury place, the hosts then ask us to wait for our table at the bar, and left us there waiting for someone to speak with us for 20 minutes. This wait I am assuming this stop was "invite" us to spend some cash at the bar drinking which I was not yet in the mood. Then one of the key features of the restaurant is the view, and unfortunately there are few tables for two people and the few available are next to the staff orders counter, so I was celebrating my birthday next a running sprint lane with staff running like crazy back and forth really close to my table. I also had no city view... my only view was the sushi counter, that had people seated in , so my view was people in a tall seating really close. The food is bellow average, I have paid 140 euros for two people, which is consider very expensive for two in Lisbon. Sushi is not recommended, the rice is cold and not well cooked, sushi tastes like a 10 euro restaurant. Also this is a overstaffed restaurant I have counted at least 30 staff running around like headless chickens and no real impact on service excellence. To be honest don't go to this restaurant, very bad experience. We started our night at the Sky Bar for drinks at sunset. For the view and the atmosphere, the prices were actually cheaper than expected. Tables are first come first serve, but we were able to find one after 30 minutes. Later on, we met Ricardo, who was the manager of both Sky Bar and Seen, and he helped with the rest of our evening. The restaurant itself has many different areas, depending on the ambiance you want. There are two sides to the menu: Japanese and italian/seafood. We tried dishes from both sides, and especially enjoyed the gunkan sushi, the parma ham pasta, and the artichokes. Thank you for a great night!
