  The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxing. The service was warm and charming, especially our server, Dohana. She was so welcoming and responsive. Antonio and Phellippe also tended to our table and we were so well taken care of. Many thanks to all of them who must see a slew of tourists passing through their little bistro on a daily basis and still maintain gracious hospitality. The local entertainment was enchanting and topped off our amazing meal. Attached to a boutique hotel in a high-traffic tourist area you would not expect to find such a gem. We will return.   Most of the dishes were very good and uniq, especially the tuna fish for the first dish and the Fillet steak with foie gras for a main course. Only the desserts were medium.   The experience in this restaurant was a real 10/10 points. The staff Ricardo, Alanis, Milena, Phellipe and Nuno did their very best to make us feel comfortable - and we did. We ordered the cheese plate and tuna tartare as starters, the milk fed viel fillet and the vegetarian linguine as main - and the lemon pie and almond "macarron" as dessert, paired with a nice portwine.   We picked the only Lisbon wine from the red wine list (which was Quinta do Pinto) and had the best wine during our stay in Portugal! Very strong but excellent taste and structure. Got a table with no reservation - sitting street side - noit really the best views in town… scampi and tuna tarter as starters was good, the veal and the beef for main course was ordered medium rare and came pretty well done 😒 but beef was sliced very thin so the cook did not really have a choice other than preparing it that way… prices are Ok, not cheap but appropriate. 4,5 would be a perfect review but since google does not allow half points the beef made the difference for a very good 4 stars rating 👍 (Traduzido pelo Google) Escolhemos o único vinho de Lisboa da lista de vinhos tintos (que foi o Quinta do Pinto) e tomamos o melhor vinho durante a nossa estadia em Portugal!   We were pooped from walking so we popped in for a beer and quick bite. Service was a bit slow, though it wasn't crowded mid-afternoon. We ordered a tuna appetizer and a small plate of vegetarian pasta. The flavors were fabulous! The tuna came on a bed of delicious guacamole, the pasta lightly tossed in pesto. All the staff are fantastic we were served by Hidema, Apsona and Ricardo at the Bar. The food was delicious. I had the Cod Tempur to start which was unbelievable. We both had the Lamb with Parsnip Mash which was also delicious. Finally, we treated ourselves to something sweet, I got the most amazing Lemon Meringue Pie and my Wife got the Chocolate Fondue that was served cold, more like a cake.   Our first time dining at Elevador and it was an excellent experience. Nice decor and ambience and prompt seating. The service throughout the evening was impeccable - Milena, Alanis, Igor and Marco were all wonderful. Our party of 4 had 3 different starters and 4 diffferent mains from the a la carte menu. For starters we had the clams “bulhão pato”, the wild shrimp and the cod tempura. All were superb. For mains, we had the wild shrimp risotto, sea bass, veal chop and the lamb. All had excellent flavor and good portion for the cost. The only complaint I would make is the veal chop was a bit over cooked and the sea bass was a bit too buttery. This is what prevented 5 stars. If there was a 4.5 I would have selected that. With wine, our bill was approximately €45-50/person for a wonderful meal. We will definitely return. Our biggest problem was finding the restaurant not knowing that it was inside the Santa Justa Hotel.   Absolutely terrible experience. When we came they couldn’t find our reservation even though I showed them confirmation, at the end they found a spot for us. We ordered drinks which they brought 35 minutes later, when I ask for tea the waiter just threw a tea bag on our table. The food was so-so nothing amazing, but okish. The service was terrible though, everything took ages and it was extremely disorganized even though the restaurant was empty. Avoid this place.   We stopped for an early lunch before starting our day of touring old town. We sat on their outdoor patio and enjoyed our lunch. The cappuccino was very good and had a lovely cocoa topping. The risotto was flavorful and the shrimp was tender. My only complaint was the other restaurants heckling people to dine with them and people approaching our table to sell us trinkets. We were heckled before, during, and after our meal. While this is no fault of this restaurant, it did not make for a great dining atmosphere. I'd recommend dining indoors to avoid be bothered.   Tania, our hostess, was wonderful. She had a great sense of humor while also being gracious. Our waiter, Daniel, was perfect. He was attentive and listened to what we wanted in the meal and brought us a very dry and tasty wine that highly met our specifications. The setting was relaxed (we were outdoors) and very tasteful. We went back a couple of nights later for a glass of wine and to listen to a great musical duo they had. We were staying around the corner and felt like we’d found our neighborhood restaurant!   21/09/2022, celebrated my Birthday along with my Life Partner and four of our closest friends. I picked this restaurant randomly based on reviews. And it certainly met all of our expectations. Igor, our waiter, a bit shy at the beginning was excellent. Tania, who also assisted him during the night, is a gem. They made us feel at home and their service was above and beyond. The food, from appetizers to entrees to finally desserts were amazingly delicious.   The food was good, the service needs improvement. The woman at the bar had such negative vibes that it reflected on the other staff.   We dined here two years ago on a week long visit to Lisbon and loved it so on this one night visit to Lisbon we just had to return and Elevador did not disappoint. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Nice wine list. Only disappointment was that we were not able to be here on a Tuesday when they have fado music. But it was still a memorable meal.   Very good food and nice staff. The place is in the city center and the atmosphere is very nice. They put the couvert on the table not asking if we wanted or not so we thought that it was on the house side. We had a risotto and my wife had slow cooked cod; both dishes were really good. We finished with a nice dessert and had 2 glasses of wine. Seeing the check, I see the couvert was added to the finale price - I asked them to remove it since I never requested for it and it was never asked if we ever wanted it, they just put it on the table . They took the couvert from the check after a little of arguing but at the end you could see that they were not welcoming anymore and didn't even say goodbye... Child behaviour. Small tip : tourist do not know local traditions ( if indeed it's a tradition to just put not ordered dish on table without asking if we even want it ) so a little more transparency would be good not to feel scammed . Pequena dica: o turista não conhece as tradições locais (se é que é tradição colocar o prato não pedido na mesa sem perguntar se o queremos), então um pouco mais de transparência seria bom para não se sentir enganado.   Great food on the main street. Staff is really nice and friendly. For starter I had the avocado and tuna tartar which I can wholeheartedly recommend. The main course was tenderloin which was prepared just right. The fries were a bit soft and not to my liking. For dessert I had the custard which was a bit on the heavy side but still good. They have live entertainment after 8. A memorable experience that will stay with me for a while.
