  Was looking for a place to eat dinner came across Oven on Google. I’m so glad I did because it was a hit. Place isn’t that big so be sure to make a reservation because it fills up quick. The service was great from the server being very attentive. To making sure the plates were changed and clean between courses and coming around and cleaning the table. Food was great to, the chicken dumplings were very flavorful and the garlic naan came out so hot and tastes amazing. I definitely recommend coming here.   Everything from the presentation of the food to the taste was brilliant. I got momo, pani puri and tried the Lukla beer. I have to say the pani puri was very far from a traditional version but it was delicious! The momo was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious.   Couldn’t even tell you what the food tasted like because they refused to accommodate my family’s reservation… I was traveling with grandparents, adults, and 2 children (one of which is under the age is two) during the rainy season and because they did not have one extra chair for us to seat our entire party of 11, they told us we would have to figure it out. Staff was rude and quick to answer, but of no help when it comes to hospitality. Don’t waste your time.   Our family made a reservation where the number of people was not carried over on the google reservation system (off by 2 seats). Instead of making efforts to accommodate our family with a kid and a baby, they opted not to and play “the blame game”. That was a very frustrating situation for our family as it was raining out and a Saturday night. I cannot comment on their food but definitely lacking in service and just kindness in general.   My group of four ate here about 2 weeks ago and I just can't go without leaving a review. The food was absolutely delicious, and I cannot forget the excitement on my sister's face as the meat on her lamb shank so elegantly slid off the bone and her joy when she picked it up and tasted it. The rest of us had the vegetable briyani, the tikka masala, the gurka lamb chop, the veggie pakora, garlic naan and the sangria. I'm still thinking about the veggie briyani and the garlic naan alone and dipped in the tikka masala. Everything was so delicious! It was also so nice that the owner/head chef came over to make sure everything was okay. The decor and ambiance was also fantastic. The lighting on the table supplemented the dim overhead lighting well so I didn't feel like I was eating in the dark, which I was happy about. We did have to wait a bit for our meal but it was so worth the wait and we did come right at the dinner rush when they reopen for evening dining. I would recommend an appetizer to start with if you're very hungry and you are part of a group.   Oven is the best Indian restaurant in Lisbon by far . We have been here so many times , it’s our all time favourite. The food is amazing, the staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly.   One of the best Indian restaurants I have tried so far in Europe. The food was top notch, especially the plating was on point. A must try is their tandoori items, made to perfection and their mango lassi is to die for. The chef adds his own twist to each food on the menu and the chef comes out to greet customers at the table to ask if everything is ok, I think this shows customer service is very valuable.   Best Indian food I've ever had. Great atmosphere, and being able to see the chefs cooking while you eat, using the tandori oven. I recommend the lamb biryani. I just had a bit difficulty communicating with waitress, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to speak Portuguese or English, and got a bit confused. Since I am not that familiar to Indian cuisine, It would be nice to get some dish recommendations and explanations during the service. Anyways, staff was super friendly. Main Chef even went to our table and asked if everything was okay. I found the Lamb Chop great but small portion for its price.   This place had delicious food in a great atmosphere. I’m usually not a huge mango lassi person, but this one was so balanced and creamy! My favorites were the cheese garlic naan and the butter chicken. I would also recommend the chicken tikka masala and the samosas. Our waiter was excellent, and he made our visit feel very personal.   Basically was a first time experience to my 16 year old daughter as she's had this craving for trying Indian food. The meal was top. 35€ per person. We had the Naan Garlic Cheese bread, then proceeded for a Chicken Tika and a Prawn Madras. Advise you to make sure you know your Indian spicy level, to order and enjoy. Madras being more spicy, as expected, but both were delicious. The dish presentation was "tasty" enough to make you wanna try it. Then we dicided to lose ourselves on the desert "carte". No so many option but of a tasty reading. We decided to try Devil's Chocolate and Everest Lava. If you like the caramel flavor I do recommend the latest. In the end we left full to the right measure and wanting to come back, which we will.   We really enjoyed our meal at Oven. We tried to just stop in on Saturday night but they were full. We made a reservation for Sunday and had a great dinner. The chicken tikka masala was exceptional.   Just visited this place today with my husband and toddler and the whole experience was amazing. The food was delicious. We got the naan and chef special pomegranate chicken curry and veggie biriyani. The naan was the best , very soft and not chewy at all. The chicken pomegranate is less spicy by default but very flavorful. The veggie biriyani was super delicious as well with right amount vegetables and some paneer.   Outstanding Indian and Nepalese dining in the heart of Lisboa - I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The service was outstanding, the food was cooked fresh and fast and the little surprise and delight before the meal (pappadums and sauces) made for a delightful experience. We had the momos (I have a Tibetan brother who makes these so I had high standards!!), which were delicious - do not bypass them! We also had the mixed platter and chilli/garlic prawns which carried the perfect amount of heat with a balanced flavour. Not to mention they are massive!! I loved watching the open kitchen - the chefs were very in control of the tandoor oven and calm which showed in the perfection of the food. 10/10 - highly recommend.   We were here for the last leg of our trip of porto-madeira-lisbon and these guys served some of the best food we encountered in europe. Food was so good that we visited this place twice - once for dinner and then immediately on the second day for lunch. Even simple things such as the papads(just the right level of crispness) and the dal-chawal(just the right thickness, texture and taste) had a lot of cooked-in elegance. We tried the lamb shank biryani on the second day and the lamb was so well cooked that it was melting in the mouth. Then there is their ambience which is soothing with the right amount of light and music. Last and the most important is their staff - from the guy who got our drinks, to the girl who took the order and the lady who brought our food - everyone was patient, polite and also very kind towards our little one.   Being a biiiig foodie myself- I usually choose restaurant recommendations from the Michelin guide or depending on the chef. I must say- this was better than most of the pre-planned dinners if not the best food I had in Lisbon. Excellent food quality, great taste and warm service. Cozy evening indeed and surprisingly small prices comparing to everything. Had mushrooms for starters and Tikka Masala with saffron rice for the main.   This place is definitely overhyped, the food is really fatty and heavy. The staff is rude and it takes a lot of time until they notice you and come to take your order. Naans don't taste like Naans, they are rather like pizza dough. The only dish that I can reccommend is crispy chilly (fried crispy mushrooms) in tasty sauce.   Amazingly tasty and beautifully served dishes tarnished by dry overcooked meat. The luxury table banquet included lamb and chicken served in tandoori with curry sauce and they were really dry and crumbly. Luckily the spices and sauce were excellent. The staff although nice were initially rather pushy asking us about ordering the main course multiple times within the span of 5 minutes. Had the meat not been dry this would’ve easily been a 5/5.   I had the Tikka Masala with Prawn. The dish is 4 Euro more with the prawn choice rather than chicken, so one would think that the 4 Euro would cover the cost difference between prawn and chicken but in my opinion there's not many prawns and they are tiny.   Excellent Indian food in Lisbon. After weeks of eating mostly Portuguese and European food we wwanted something spicy and this hit the spot. Great quality and great service. We stopped by the following afternoon and was able to make a dinner reservation for that evening. Great service and quality of food!   The best Indian food I’ve had outside of South Asia with excellent service. We went there for New Year’s Eve dinner and ordered the lamb gurkha, lamb shank, chicken padhni, and naan. The meat and curries were spectacular and can’t recommend it enough. We loved the food and service so much that we went there the next day and ordered the Himalayan Rose chicken and the chili prawns. We were blown away yet again. On top of the awesome food, service is very efficient, the servers are very warm and welcoming, AND it was open on NYE and New Years Day!   Amazing experience! We went for New Year’s Eve dinner here where they had a prix fixe menu with individual options. The quantity, presentation, taste, and service we all outstanding. Even more so, Manoj went above and beyond in accommodating our vegetarian parents by adding an extra vegetarian option. Also, Anu was a fantastic waitress and we really enjoyed talking to her.   Very nice spot just off the shopping streets of Lisbon City center. Interesting take on modern Indian cuisine which I must say took me by surprise. The starters were the stars of the show. The mains were delicious as well, but didn't wow as much as the starters. The service was great and the spot is very well decorated and cozy.   Some of the best Indian/Nepalese food I’ve ever had. Incredible flavours and produce make up a host of beautiful dishes. We kicked things off with the chilli mushrooms and they packed some FLAVOUR! Our mains of salmon and sea bass were equally as delicious and it was clear a lot of time and care had gone into all the dishes. I’m a heat freak but my partner really isn’t so she was super relieved when asked how spicy she’d like her food - which was a nice touch! To top things off, the cocktails were a triumph and the staff were some of the most attentive I’ve seen with the chef even coming around for a chat to check everything was good. Our favorites were the Chicken Safari as starter and the Butter Chicken as a main. The latter being the easiest way to distinguish a good restaurant from a bad one, this place knows how to play the game.   Great location, fantastic food and service that could not be faulted. The restaurant was more than willing to tailor to dietary needs. We were made to feel like VIP guests throughout the evening and it was a special privilege when Chef Hard Chapagain came and introduced himself. Top quality ingredients, expertly prepared.   Just a stroke of luck for us to discover this place. I ordered the lamb shank n my husband ordered just the chicken tikka starter. They gave us a small appetizer with 4 different sauces which were all good. Service was great and everyone were so polite and always checking on us. The finale the dessert called Everest Lava was to die for, just the right amount of sweetness and great with my coffee. Will definitely come back here when I visit Lisbon again.   One of the best indian restaurants I've ever been! (And I have been to many and I have also been to India) The chicken tikka masala was the best I've ever had and we had a lamb with pomegranate that I highly recommend as well. Both meats cooked to perfection and sauces to die for. Mango lassi also one of the best I've had. Service is very attentive, nicely decorated room ( you can see the cook make the naan bread in front of you) and although on the finer side the price is quite acceptable considering the location and quality of the food.   Honestly some of the best Indian food I've had in my life. I had a chicken Madras, and instead of just being "hot", there was so much spice and flavour going on..incredible! Also the staff were great. Our little daughter can be wild at times, and they were oh so patient with her. When we arrived we didn't have a reservation but they still managed to get us a table.   I love whatever I've tasted at Oven Lisboa. My favourite is the chilli garlic prawns. The Nepalese Momos (dumplings) are delicious too.   I heard about this place a lot and as a Nepalese I had to give it a try as their speciality is Indian and Nepalese food. I must say every thing about this place is amazing. The picture speaks for the dish itself, just look at the presentation and the taste was even better. This dish is called `Rack Of Lamb’. The staffs were so polite and they made sure to give attention to our needs. The chef also came to check up on us which was really nice gesture.   We loved Oven Lisboa so much we came here during our four days in Lisbon! From the moment you step in, the staff attentively cares for you and the chef visits every table to say hello. They have beautiful Michelin like plating and very detail from the plates to the decor is elegantly done. Their starters are the most beautiful, but come in smaller portions. We loved the Goan Salmon and Lamb Shank curries the most. The Peshwari Naan is sweet with a mango dried fruit nut mixture inside — super unique! 100% recommend coming here. It gets busy starting around 8:30pm, but you can come by before that without a reservation. The quality for the price is perfect and they start with a medley of sauces with thin crackers as a starter on the house!   Randomly came across this restaurant and it was such a gem of a find! All of the dishes were made of quality ingredients, so beautiful, and absolutely delicious. Really love how Oven Lisboa put so much thought and care into all of their dishes, elevating the simplest Indian dishes to make them even better. We ordered the bacon wrapped prawn appetizer, tikka masala, mango chicken, garlic cheese naan (one of the better naans that I’ve tried in Europe) and a brownie for dessert. Everything was divine, and the one of a kind cocktail menu also paired well with the heavier menu. The service was also A+ with such friendly and helpful staff. All in all, highly recommend this restaurant and the prices were very competitive. We’ll definitely be back for round 2!   Brand new restaurant and one of the best Indian places I've ever been to. The presentation was gorgeous, the food quality superb. Definitely try their prawn wrapped in bacon as a starter and try some of their signature cocktails. You can tell the chef really loves to explore various tastes in his food and cares about the overall experience. He came over and showed us photos of how the plates we ate from were handmade in Nepal. Can't recommend it enough!
