  When we pick a restaurant we consider the setting - is this a fast food place, is this a restaurant with a Michelin star or is this a restaurant on a touristy street lined with restaurants. So we expected good food and hoped for good service and that's exactly what we got. No dish stood out as "the best we ever had" but all the food was simply good and the service was prompt and friendly. Probably a big overpriced, but it's a touristy location and every restaurant on the street is overpriced.   We as a family was looking for a place to eat and though it looked nice. However we soon found out that the person who were serving us was not professional. Commenting on what some of us was eating and the amount of food we were eating, making it uncomfortable and hard to explain ourselves. We also experienced a big intrusion of food we had not ordered or asked for. When asked about the bill or telling them no thanks the waiter took my dad “don’t be so mad” something so out of pocket. This place left a huge impact on our well-being and we all just felt so uncomfortable when we sat there. Hope someone have a nicer experience than us.   My wife and I stumbled in to Rua Augusta from the train station, and we were both hungry and wanted to try seafood. Among the outdoor areas along the street this one didn't stand out much. But I saw octopus on the menu and that was good enough for me. After we were seated my wife was pleased with the people watching opportunities as folks strolled past us in droves down Rua Augusta. Our waiter, Nunes, was happy to put up with my bad Portuguese but he appreciated my sotaque brasileiro. The grilled octopus was simple, but very good, and a generous portion. my wife had the papaya served "stuffed" with seafood. Sounds odd but really made an amazing presentation. I would go back here. When I asked for the bill the waiter asked me for the Tips , if I wanted to leave , if I don’t want then no problem at all. Since the service was excellent I left a Tips of seven euros.   This restaurant was a total disaster for us . The waiter from Bangladesh was extremely annoying , interrupting , overbearing and Arrogant. He demanded a tip and when it was not satisfactory after charging the bill including the tip he threw back some coins at us to return the tip we paid him. Our bill came to 107/- EUROS and we rounded it to 110/- to include a 3/- EURO tip. The WORST PART was when he started speaking agitatedly at my husband and told us very patronizingly that this was not INDIA My husband is a Portuguese national. When I asked to speak to the MANAGER - the Manager refused to attend to us even though he was right there eating his dinner at one of the tables inside. When I threatened to review them on social media and I took pictures of the restaurant name and this particular waiter he attacked me and tried to grab my phone . I will be placing a police complain against this restaurant surely . As tourist we cannot accept such behavior from a waiter . The food was also horrible.   Appealing menu, good service. Ordered Marisco for one. Not like the menu picture. Crab legs had very thick outer skeleton, impossible to retrieve meat even with tools provided.   Right in the begining we told the waiter we want charge single (the boys drink more and we girls didnt drink that time). The portion - special the shrimp - was very small. I was lucky, my 'bacalhau d'ouro' was good portion and make me full, but I feel the gyus really disappointed with. In the end, time to pay, this waiter bring one only bill, when we ask about charge separate, he says 'change in once is easy for me'. It means: he doesnt care about the guests. We ordered a dessert and a coffee and the waiter (Super rude waiter) told us that we're not allowed to have a coffee or juice or a dessert unless we take a meal there. The funny thing is that .. we were passing by and it was the same guy who invited us to the restaurant and it wasn't time for dinner or lunch (6pm). We just left the place after 5 minutes. 0 service, 0 client respect and no manners .. 0 stars, no respect for clients ..   It looked like a good traditional place. While we where watching the menu ordered a couple of drinks, as usual they brought bread and butter and everything change, a cockroache walked the table and jumped into me, the waiter and my husband had to move everything to help me take it off and kill it. I'm pregnant so after that I didn't want to try the food, they charged us the starters we didn't eat, the drinks and when we didn't leave tip to the waiter asked why, really??   The food in comparison to other option is below average. We had seen the rating 3.5 yet took a chance to visit. The lobster of 700gm was expensive than expected served with plain melted butter some lettuce leaves and tomatoes. The portion of bread too small and a pouch of butter.   The food was OK. The sardines were very good, and the cod was ok, but way too much onion and oil. We then also had the Monk fish and shrimp seafood rice. It was too salty, and the taste was odd. You could tell they don’t cook the fish inside the rice. They keep a pot of rice ready, and then just throw in whatever you order with the rice. To be honest, the base of the rice tasted like Lipton soup mix. The sangria was OK, but there is better. Was disappointed that all the other tables got bread and olive oil and we did not. The waiter was very nice, and helpful. His service was good for the most part. However, when the bill was brought he made it clear the bill did not include a tip, and he stood there and waited and watched for you to put a tip on the credit card transaction. So weird and uncomfortable. There’s lots of good food in Lisbon, and some great restaurants, with really fair pricing. I think this restaurant is a little expensive for what you get, when you have so many other options. Overall, the meal was OK. The service was good, but the tip thing was uncomfortable.   Dissappointed. My first day in Lisbon and I made the mistake of going to a high traffic restaurant with a slick greeter on the street. After ordering quite expensive dishes they come out with two starter plates that we had NOT ordered. They said if we don't touch them, we don't have to pay and they'll take them back. And somehow we ended up with the grumpy one. We didn't get any bread until we asked for it. We didn't get a wine cooler. We didn't even get proper wine glasses. Had to drink our white wine out of champagne glasses. Very strange. Ordering food, we made it very clear that I'm server allergic to red shellfish and he kept swiping his hand and said "no problem" when the food came, there was a lot of shrimps on top. I told him and he got annoyed at me! That is very uncomfortable not to be sure, if you'll die, eating this meal. The fish looked great, but there wasn't much taste to it. Just a lot of fish bones. Two stars less for the fact that we had to pay for starters we didn't order - which added another 12€ to the bill. As well, the waiter calculated the starters on a napkin, not within their tablet.   Food is not good at all. They claimed to specialize in all food types and i got some very dry chicken, some very tasteless shrimp and a steak with egg, this food was barely edible. Also they placed a small plate of dried lamb and said "eat if you want" and didnt inform us that it was an extra charge of 12 Euros which was more than the meal I ordered.   Cannot really understand many of the bad recommendations since this restaurant is very good. Matias our waiter was very attentive making sure the wine glasses were always filled. He recommended a good white wine that wasn't cheap but kept it's promise to the full. And before he filled our dishes, a snow white bib was put around our necks. So what to complain? This is worth all 5 stars as on top of the superb treatment the starters and the fish were wonderful as well.   I rarely write a negative review for restaurant, but on this occasion I had to, as the service I received was the worst I ever experienced, especially, I spent over €100 on my birthday meal with my partner. We ordered a fish platter, kings prawns, chips and a few drinks for our evening meal. The table service was horrible, the chips we ordered arrived 15 minutes after we received all the main courses, which we ordered it along with the main course. Despite we ordered in advance it took further 10 minutes for the waiters to bring over ketchup and mayonnaise, which they gave us mustard instead of mayonnaise. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, there were only 8 customers included us in total and they had 4 waiters and an extra 2 in the service area. We later noticed one of the squid from the fish platter went bad, as it had a bad smell and taste weir and off. So we kindly told one of the waiter when we finished our food. Not long after one of the older waiter came over to our table aggressively and placed a raw squid in our face and insisted their squid is fresh. We kindly told him to try the one we had on our plate, then he looked at us aggressively and walked away. Based on this experience, I would not recommend anyone to eat in this restaurant as I do not wish anyone to experience what I did. Mais tarde, notamos que uma das lulas do prato de peixe estragou, pois tinha um cheiro ruim e um gosto ruim. Então, gentilmente avisamos um dos garçons quando terminamos a comida. Não muito tempo depois, um dos garçons mais velhos veio até nossa mesa agressivamente e colocou uma lula crua em nosso rosto e insistiu que a lula estava fresca. Nós gentilmente dissemos a ele para experimentar o que tínhamos em nosso prato, então ele nos olhou agressivamente e foi embora.   Reasonable price for a seafood restaurant in the tourist area, not cheap but quantity was ample. We were told for the price of those starters they delivered to our table when sitting down, we refused gently and the waiter did not give us any hard feeling. We ordered a mixed seafood pot, an assorted seafood rice pot with some extra vegetables. I was thinking of ordering one more dish and the waiter was honest enough to advise us not to, as he believed that our orders were more than enough for 3 adults. Paid 81euro at last as expected with no hidden charge though you were expected to tip. Food quality was on par. Fair enough for the portion though a bit salty. Lobsters were tender, crabs and shrimps were likely to be de-frozen before cook, fair enough as you can see those crabs in the showcase were frozen. Justo o suficiente para a porção, embora um pouco salgada. As lagostas estavam macias, os caranguejos e camarões provavelmente seriam descongelados antes de serem cozidos, o que é justo, pois você pode ver que os caranguejos na vitrine estavam congelados.   Terrible experience!!! We ordered a steak because the photos in the menu were juicy, at least it looked delicious. They brought us the steak which is raw and bloody inside. We asked to cook the steak three times! And we were fed up with the effortless results of having raw meat.   Worst food I ever had and at a very high price. Squid and vegetables were cold when they arrived. The vegetables were just put in water and served without any salt, pepper or any other seasoning .   I had a lunch break here and although the restaurant was well centered the fish was really good and the staff very friendly. I had the pleasure to be served by Ahmed who was very professional and helpful. Would recommend it.   Awful service and the worst food I have eaten in Lisbon. We ordered appetitive which never came and when we asked for it the waiter said the main is enough for you ..you won't manage.. drinks were not cold, octopus was very hard to chew and the mixed meal for two had only two shrimps!!!   What a Horrible place!!!! Overpriced. at first it looks fancy but when you sit down you see the really really really dirty glasses and silverware. Prices are crazy high, 45euro for a 2 person kebab. We had a wine for 5euro and it probably came out of an old box. We gave it another shot by ordering just a snack that you cant mess up, Melon with ham. The melon was not sweet at all and the ham was just a few small pieces wich were hard, tough and chewy like leather. It tasted old, cost me 9euros. They will NOT see me again!   Terrible experience from beginning to finish. Fish soup as a starter was so salty we could not eat it, waiter could not be bothered bringing dressing for salad, highchair for the baby, the mozzarella salad was one greenish with virtually no mozzarella for 10€... list is too long to go on... very overpriced and very poor food and service.   Very good option as a restaurant in Lisbon! The dishes are huge and very tasty, also the waiters are very kind and helpful. The prices are fair (for 25 € you can have a very good dish of grilled fish with some salads and potatoes). My only bad remark concerns the commentary of the waiter in the end: "Services are not included...". I judged this a bit inelegant...
