  Restaurante muito bem decorado, distinto e com um atendimento muito simpático e atencioso. Comemos um bife KOB e uma Costela de Angus feita lentamente que me fez lembrar o rib de bufallo delicioso que comi no Salt Lick no Texas. Para sobremesa comemos um gelado de côco e uma mousse,.ambas estavam muito agradáveis.

  This is one of my favourite steak restaurants in Lisbon. I’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. I usually love sirloin steak, however the first time I went there the waiter recommended the KOB steak (ribeye) and it was delicious. Now I ask for that every time I go there. Also, their grilled vegetables are the best I’ve ever had and make a perfect combination with the steak. For dessert, one if their lava cakes (chocolate or caramel) never disappoints.   Came back to this restaurant in Lisbon after trying their location in Porto, and ended up having an even better experience here! The food is just amazing and the staff were so attentive. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is so nice. Recommend trying the truffle potatoes and the oliver sauce! The only thing that i would say could be improved is the waiting time for the food.   A verdade é que a comida era espetacular, mas não é tudo, principalmente quando cobram o que cobram. Restaurante simpático mas os detalhes deixam muito a desejar. Mesas muito pequenas que ficam pequenas demais antes de você começar a comer, garçons simpáticos mas falta um pouco mais de profissionalismo, um banheiro bonito mas desmorona. Uma pena, porque só o meu pedaço de carne me custou 75 euros. (repito que foi excelente)

  I’m going to be honest — all of the reviews that note this place as exceptional, have never had exceptional steak. the food was not good by any means, more importantly the steak. The Ribeye (Portuguese cut) lacked flavor, lacked seasoning, it had no love in it. The truffle mashed potatoes were gooey, sticky; the spinach wasn’t too bad. The food is just lacking technique and attentiveness. There are certain qualities restaurants do to go the extra mile, especially when it pertains to food and this place just doesn’t. Some examples: a) complimentary bread and butter for the table, maybe the bread could be warmed or baked fresh, considering you’re still taking dinner reservations at 10 pm, time shouldn’t be a factor in quality food. b) cold water for the table c) fresh clean glasses, ensuring they don’t have a smell from dish water, etc. d) having the best cuts of meat on display. the meat on display near the front isn’t exactly 4 or 5 star cuts of meat! It has all of the aesthetic appeal but no appeal food wise. It’s almost there, it just needs a revamp. more love an attention to the meat and authentic side dishes (not side dishes that may be appealing to the public) that the kitchen is well versed in and I think the food will be back on the right track. However, the staff was pleasant! even comped us for one steak.   É uma ótima experiência para quem aprecia carnes vermelhas, mas para quem não é apreciador, também existem outras opções de peixe. Pedi um bife K.O.B (ribeye), com batatas e molho olivier, o bife veio no ponto correto, as porções eram boas, a carne era suculenta e saborosa, com um ótimo sabor a churrasco. A minha namorada pediu bacalhau à Brás, era uma porção muito grande e o bacalhau era muito bom. De entrada, pedi o croquete KOB, era bom, mas nada de especial. O pão e a manteiga eram muito bons e saborosos. De sobremesa, pedi um Petit Gateau de chocolate e não gostei muito, pois achei muito básico e parecia que faltava alguma coisa. A staff era muito simpática e atenciosa, o ambiente era bonito e acolhedor, porém as casas de banho estavam um pouco sujas e mal cuidadas no interior.

The staff were attentive and friendly, as service. The meat carpacio and the shrimp are very good. Both wagyu meat we ordered were amazing, the taste, the texture. I think it was from Australia and Japan. Also, other meat cuts were also great quality.   Based on the price point for Lisbon I had higher expectations of the restaurant and the food. The restaurant feels tired and we were next to a wall of the kitchen which clearly had the glass bin behind it because it was very noisy every time they used the bin. The service was average, but I expected more compared to other restaurants at the same price point in the city. Food itself was fine, but again nothing particularly special.   Food was ok, although for the price in Lisbon I expected much more. Real let down was service. We felt unwelcome, arrogant service which was also in-attentive and slow. We were rarely asked for more drinks or how our food was even when we were fully turned around in our chair trying to order. And you don’t expect to be demanded a tip in a restaurant like this.   Disclaimer: I am American. We were staying at the hotel across the street, and wanted something easy and close by. I was fooled by the current reviews so wanted to post a warning statement. Service was “ok” - was very difficult to get waitstaff attention who seemed to pay more attention to the larger parties around us. We had to ask for the drinks we ordered from the bar after they had not come for 20 minutes. We ordered 2 steaks and we each ordered sides after being told the sides were small. They are small, but certainly sharing size. The steaks were decent. The sides (mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, broccoli) and sauce Oliver were horrendous. The sauce “Oliver” is almost purely melted butter. When our drinks did come they were also fairly horrible. My virgin mojito was sprite with some mint leaves. At the end, the waiter asked for a tip which felt very odd in Europe (and so far in Portugal, we have not been asked) and felt like an attempt to take advantage of an American. Lastly, there was water dripping from a leaky pipe above my head the whole time and no one seemed to acknowledge that this was a problem. I highly recommend avoiding this spot in Lisbon.   Steaks were good, potatoes were mediocre. Fries are vastly better in Porto. The prices here are a tad higher than in Porto too.   Amazing establishment in the heart of Lisboa. Outstanding service, meat selection was beyond plentiful. Almost overwhelming, in a good way. Couldn’t decide on which meat to get so ended up getting the Ribeye, NY Strip, Tenderloin, and Australian Wagyu. All were phenomenal. The black truffle mashed potatoes are a must, along with the Octopus Carpaccio. I’d also recommend the apple crumble but get it with vanilla ice cream.   Horrible steak. Order a 400gr steak and request medium. Received it blue-rare. Instead of cooking a new one they threw it on the fire again. Ofc steak came out like rubber.   Booked a table for 8.30pm, repeated the time several times over the phone. It was my stepdaughter's bday and I was strongly recommended this restaurant by a good friend. To our disappointment the main waiter or whatever he was says that he thought that the booking was at 7.30pm and that there were too many people in the restaurant and blah blah and nor did he even make an effort to try and put us in the main restaurant.. he put us in the terrace outside, with all scaffolding surrounded, not what we wanted and I did not want to kick up a fuss otherwise I would've told him and the restaurant where to go but out of respect for my stepdaughter and partner I did not do so. Waitress was good and that was about it. As a food critic, starters were really bland to say the least and the steaks we ordered were ordinary steaks with no flavour either.   What a giant let down this was, at this price point you expect things to be great, but they were mediocre at best. Booked a table but when we showed up, the booking was "misunderstood" and they thought we were coming an hour earlier, even though the hour was repeated on the phone several times. They managed to "squeeze us in" (even though there was ample space available). Service was ok but cold, even though they forgot several items from our order. Food wise? No. Just no. Entrantes were bland at best, the beef was a shame and by no means what you'd expect for this price. Do not recommend, period.   This is a hard restaurant to review. On one hand, the steaks are excellent, and that’s why you’re here. Skip the croquettes, though, they were cold with a cat food consistency. That said, the prices lead you to believe it’s far more upscale than it really is. The service was efficient, but cold. There was no attempt to guide us through the menu (which are still inexplicably on QR codes). At one point, my wife and I were in the middle of a conversation and were interrupted four times in 2 minutes by 4 different people asking how our meal was. There is nothing to complain about the great quality of beef carpaccio and other dishes. I would say the ribeye we ordered is at the standard, but it was not bad just matching the expectation.   Experience started off badly - Unbelievably they had no lager beer, only black Guinness like beer (which I don't like) - I was extremely thirsty, so not a good start. The steak was nice, especially the Irish Ribeye, it's hard to find Ribeye (my favourite cut) in Portugal, so that was a definite plus. However the final bill was ridiculous a €120 per person! I suspect we were scammed, we only drank a few bottles of house wine, so the figures don't add up.   Very disappointed in KOB. We went in August for my birthday. The space is nice. We weren't familiar with any of the wines that were on the wine list. When our waitress came to our table we told her we had some questions about the wines. The wine was too strong, the shrimp was good. My husband and I both ordered steak. Mine was medium well and his was medium rare. The steaks were brought out by someone who was not our waitress, no big deal. Both of our steaks were served already sliced. Mine was medium rare and my husbands was rare. It was chewy and too pink for me to eat. Our waitress never came by to see how anything was. She came by after we were done...well after my husband was done eating his steak that was still mooing. She asked if we wanted dessert and we said no just the check. She came back with the check and then asked if we wanted to tip! I've lived in Lisbon for almost a year and have never been asked to leave a tip. The bill for a bottle of wine, appetizer and 2 entree's was 150 euros. For that kind of money I'd like better service.   I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was really good and the prices were affordable. However I felt that it could be better with the reputation of the founder. At an average of euro55 per person without alcohol it was really a bargain for a Steakhouse. We did not choose the more expensive cuts (would consider on a future trip) as I intentionally wanted to sample the bargain steaks. The irish angus ribeye was very good.   Great place for so meat in an upscale environment. The service is spot on, and the food tasty. It is a bit pricey, which almost made me take out a star, but I did have a good experience. Note, even if you're alone, they will serve you water out of a big bottle, which are really expensive (5,50€ for sparkling water)... If I had known I would I spare that for another glass of wine!   I went to KOB with my wife one evening in our trip to lisbon. We wanted a nice pleasant dinner. The place design nicely. The service is very professional and meticulous. I liked the menu and the options it reveals. We had one big sharing main course. The meat cooked well and was very tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and soft. Don't be wrong by the cigarettes smel at the entrance (it's the bar). Inside the restaurant, there's no smell at all.   The steaks were amazing. We had the 200g fillet which was more than enough me for me and my wife. There was a mix up in the kitchen and it took a long time for appetizer to come out, the owner came out personally to apologise and can't them for free along with the desert.   If I would have to pick only one thing out of all in my basket of memories collected in 4 days stay in Lisbon, it is an evening in KOB. It's absolute top place to dine&wine. In my private ranking the very few of best restaurants I've been to, are those, where I felt irresistible need to meet, handshake and say thank you to the chef. I did it in KOB. No doubt, if I go back to Lisbon, KOB will be the place to visit. Exceptional, extraordinary, epic experience.   Quite expensive restaurant (you can easily spend upwards of 50 Euro per person especially if you also get wine) with some nice starters and dishes. However not all live up to their price, e.g. the starter with sausage was very hard and not particularly tasty. Smoking also seems to be allowed which can be a nuisance for non-smokers.
