  Lunch at Eleven begins with a fabulous view over Lisbon and then just keeps getting better. Food is delicious, and fun (especially the table side theatre of making Stone Soup). The deconstructed pastel de nata with its bica is one of the best desserts I have had. Other highlights from the Amália Rodrigues Menu included exquisitely fashioned amuse bouches, "gold bar" and amazing suckling pig with rice. The brioche presented with the petits fours was totally over the top ... and totally irresistible.   Would not recommend this place. The food was okay mostly, but would never pay the price to return here. Paid extra to try the wagyu beef, and despite the meat being perfect both accompaniements were unimpressive (the eggplant was not cooked enough and was rubbery). The service seemed rushed and unable to handle the amount of tables and dishes served. Had no wine for a whole service and had to ask to get my glass filled whent they came to serve the next plate. In a regular restaurant this is normal, but when you are paying 250 euros a person you expect everything to be perfect. Made a mistake in the bill and were charging us a bottle of wine that was 1.5 times the price of the one we ordered (Traduzido pelo Google) Não recomendaria este lugar.   Amazing option to taste a great Portuguese culinary with a very glamorous approach. The set menu came with a series of dishes accordingly with your choice of menu. The service is good and the food is delicious. The wine list is very good and I really like the options of Portuguese wines with and red. The restaurant is in the park Amalia Rodrigues with nice ambience and walking distance from some top hotels like Intercontinental, Ritz Carlton and others.   It was a lousy start but the food and the presentation was so fantastic that made up for it. There were 4 of us so we spent some time choosing what each one wanted then we found out that everyone must order the same food. They wouldn’t even let each couple choose. All had to get the same. Regardless, it was an amazing presentation and experience ! There were so many wonderfully prepared and presented dishes. I highly recommend this place!!!   This was the single most disappointing restaurant meal that I can remember. Each course was mediocre at best and some were inedible. Courses alternated between being bland or overly salty. No amount of cheap caviar can compensate a poorly conceived or executed dish. The squid ceviche was indistinguishable from rice. The crab salad bland and slightly fishy. As for the red mullet course, I could not get past the slimy texture and fishy smell to taste it, inedible. The rack of lamb was fatty, served raw and chewy. Basically inedible. On this trip we ate at other michelin star restaurants in both France and Spain and they lived up to the star. At any price, this meal was bad, at 170 euro pp this was completely unacceptable. This was especially disappointing when all of the other meals we had in portugal for a fraction of the cost were among the best of the trip. Lastly we were not even able to enjoy the proclaimed view as the interior lighting was to bright and the floor to ceiling windows were filthy.   If you want to spend a lot of money on food in Lisbon, there are waaaay better restaurants to go to. Above all stands the Loco in our view. (We have tried a few nice restaurants in Lisbon, some of them with a Michelin star others without and we have no personal or professional connection to the Loco. I want to clarify this because this review might otherwise be perceived as biased. The reason I mentioned the Loco is simple the superb experience we had — particularly on value for money compared to this restaurant.) It seems that the Eleven still lives of the reputation from the past. It is still a Michelin star restaurant, so the food is good. However, service is very underwhelming and does by far not live up to Michelin star standards. We found this very surprising because Lisbon has many good restaurants, so competition is high. Again, this lead us to the conclusion that this is a restaurant for tourists who select a restaurant based on its rich history of high class food. Food was good but there are simply better options in town — especially if you somewhat care about value for money.   Eleven is an excellent choice for fine dining. The food was impressive, experimental, and most importantly exquisite. The duck on the summer menu was incredible and the plum tart was one of the most impressive creations of food I have ever had. Somehow, it tasted like meat. The “fake” vegetables made with the vegetable they represent were fun, creative, and delicious. The wine pairing menu was well designed and I cannot overstate the knowledge, warmth, kindness, and expertise of the waiter who served our wines. He explained the best way to enjoy the Map of Portugal cheeses with the port, and the pairing truly changed the taste of the cheese. The desert was delicious and well presented, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful and interesting. The staff is so welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable.   I have no clue how they have received a Michelin star… To begin they bring out what seems like 2 day old cold bread. I would expect fresh bread but if not that at least warm it up. The only dish I particularly liked was the crab and even that was just ok. The price you pay does not justify just ok. The rest of the dishes were subpar and everything came out cold (while some are cold by design even the hot dishes came out cold.) My steak which they claim is A5 Wagyu is most definitely not A5, it was fatty and chewy In all the wrong ways. They bring you out some stale Madeleines at the end of the meal. The only saving grace was the brioche with crème fraiche which was actually quite good. I think they very much rely on the ambience and view which is admittedly very nice as you can see the ocean and the park. I would not recommend it for the price. From the atmosphere, the service, the quality of food, to the timing and decor, this was everything you would come to expect from an 11-course fine dining meal. We chose the classic menu, but lobster and other multi-course menus were available. I felt we got an incredible sense of fine National and international cuisine, expertly woven together by the chef. And if you drink, the wine pairing was thoughtful and elevated the meal in every way. At the end, they send you home with bites and a cookbook. A wonderful experience.   A good enough 1 michelin star experience. Food was incredible. Service could be much better. They hesitated explaining the dishes, did not bring us a starter drink when I stated that my wife does not drink but I did want one, ... Atmosphere is very nice, although we reserved 2 weeks in adbance and asked for a window table and we were toold right there that it was not possible and were placed in the mid of the room.   The view was amazing, the welcome was what one would expect from a prestigious restaurant. The food generally did not live up to expectations. The amuse bouche was a mixed bag, some hits some misses. The consommé was exceptionally salty, but also delicious in some bites. The Singapore rice was not even on par with hawker fried rice. Overall, the restaurant has crossed the boundary from food to abstract and in general michelin star restaurants face the same tightrope walk. From my experience it is a 50/50 whether a michelin star is for the food or show. I hate leaving negative reviews, but for the prestige of this restaurant it really did not come close to living up to the reputation a michelin star would bestow. This doesn't even mention the service which was abrasive and at times seemed like he handed in his two week notice that evening.   I checked out this restaurant because it’s down the street from the hotel and has good reviews. We showed up with our one year old baby - didn’t know the restaurant only allows kids 6+. Manager kindly made an exception for us. Environment is great and food is fantastic! Very creative flavors. Service was absolutely first class too. It’s a pity that our kid was making noise the whole time, so we did not do tasting menu but ordered a la carte and didn’t stay long. My belief is that the beautiful view, location, clean design of the interior, and very formal staff compensates for what is not the culinary experience you might receive at other Michelin star restaurants in Lisbon. If I had to choose a Michelin star dinner to return to in Lisbon, my strong recommendation would be Loco.   Set high above the city, this restaurant has great views. Due to Lisbon's dreadful traffic our taxi was a little late but we were warmly welcomed. As I wanted fish and Daz wanted meat we couldn't have tasting menu as both need to order from same menu so we were a la carte. We had a negroni and kir royale aperitif and ordered a Portuguese Red wine. Started with 3 breads with butters and oil then amuse bouche of caviar and delicious anchovy mousse in pastry.   Eleven was in a beautiful location with a great view of Lisbon. However, it should not have a Michelin star. None of the food was served hot. While attractive, it lacked flavor. The service was very poor. While many of the wait staff spoke fluent English, the one bringing our food and describing the dishes was unintelligible. We also had to pour our own wine (which was not even at our table). The overall experience definitely does not justify the price. On the upside, the bathroom was cool.   The meal…incredible. Enjoyed the lobster courses. The service and ambiance, sub par at best. We were terribly uncomfortable as the overhead lighting was severe and hot. We were sweating during our $300/pp meal and the servers had no control over the lighting. We “rested” over 15 minutes between courses, often with no wine nor offer of water refill. The chef did an outstanding job (hence the three stars), but service was incredibly lacking and not what we have experienced in past Michelin star restaurants.   We visited Eleven with a group to enjoy dinner from a Michelin award-winning restaurant. However, it turned out to be very disappointing. The food was cold and partly inedible. Also we noticed there was no questions at the end of our dinner if we enjoyed it or not and the FOH manager I assume was ready to pay out payment as fast as he could. For the price we paid it would of been nice for a bit more cured service. My husband and I are both head chefs in London and always go to fine dining restaurants to enjoy the service as well as the atmosphere. But unfortunately I was disappointed by the service. I was very impressive by the edible shapes (maple leaves, circle net, diamond rings) in some dishes.   I was looking for an extraordinary experience. There’s nothing extraordinary about this restaurant. Not the food, not the service, and not the view. It’s the same experience as going to any other restaurant in Lisbon. We had two of the Eleven menus with the Wagyu option. We paired it with a Fica La Montesa 2018. During the experience I got disappointed with each dish as the flavors were trumped by the fat or strong flavor of the sauces. I expected to have my taste buds challenged, and surprised with each bite. Nothing, not even a tingle. I couldn’t feel the flavor of the oysters because the sauce was fatty, and I couldn’t taste the deliciousness of the Wagyu A5 steak because of the strong sauce.   The food items were delicious and unique, the location is nice, but I can't say that experience was superior. The 11-course meal is big enough even though the portions look small. We were not able to finish them all and had to skip the dessert. A few things we did not like: 1. They offered apéritif on the beginning and it's nowhere mentioned how much it is so we thought it's complementary. Keep in mind, you'll have to pay for this and it would be nice for restaurant to let clients know about it. 2. We can to ask for a drink refill two times till we got it, definitely something you don't expect from high-end Michelin restaurant. 3. The gap between courses was way too long sometimes, like about 30 mins of so. We spent over 2.5 hours and had to leave earlier. Not sure if it's done on purpose so you can have a proper break between courses. For the price we paid, I'd rate it as a 3-star experience overall.   The Eleven Menu starts off with 3 types of bread accompanied by two types of butter and an olive oil tasting. It costs 170€ and it serves 11 dishes. There is no vegetarian option in any of the 3 proposed menus (50 year chef anniversary menu; Eleven menu; Lobster menu), but they can adapt on the spot if fish and seafood are acceptable alternatives. The recommendation for us was Eleven, but it was way too much. I can definitely recommend the experience, but quantitative wise it is such a waste of extraordinarily talent and effort put in such masterpieces.   I was actually somewhat disappointed with the restaurant. The restaurant is situated by the park and national monuments, yet the immediate landscaping was really not taken care of. (It has the potential to be so much more). Inside the restaurant, the dining room was well presented, and serving staff are all nice. The initial dishes are good, but the later on entrees dropped off the table. We selected the Singapore themed dish, and had a huge long wait and when the dish finally arrived, the food presentation was good but quality was only so-so. Which in Michelin standards is quite disappointing. The main course and dessert course took so long towards the end that the staff either forgot or was embarrassed to check on us or top off drinks.   Decor and location at Eleven are equally beautiful. The food is great, our table had a mix of the taster menu and a la carte. The taster menu is good value, many of the dishes are similar in size to the a la carte counterparts. Service is relaxed and designed to be enjoyed at the flow the chef has dictated so do not expect to eat in a hurry. And not just a single dish but we took 9 course meal and all plates were exceptional. I have been to other Michelin star restaurants and this one stands our between the rest.   Underwhelming experience compared to the standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant: food was good but not extraordinary, fairly unimpressive altogether, even more so considering the pricing level. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, whereas the tastes and textures of the courses were quite ordinary. Whilst beautifully located on top of the park, the night view is less impressive than it undoubtedly is during day hours. Service was not at the level it should have been: we encountered multiple dirty wine glasses throughout the meal, elements were missing on some dishes (e.g. the Riesling emulsion) and had to be sent back, and the chef didn’t attend to his guests at all over the course of the entire gastronomic menu. Stuck in the past, overly complicated and hard to understand. We enjoyed the experience laughing the entire time at how bad everything was.   Went for a lunch with family. Quite cheap for being a Michelin star restaurant, ranging between 30£ - 59£ per menu +drinks. The food was good, the meats were really tender and all around it was quite a good experience. A couple of things we didn’t like: we thought the duck was tough, none of us liked the golden liver bars either (although we are used to a very different kind of liver) It was very buttery and didn’t have much taste. There weren’t any good drinks for kids either, the one they offered was a lemonade with sweetening packets that didn’t want to mix - it ended up being very sour.   Excellent restaurant: the food and wines were amazing. In particular, the white wine served with the tuna fish was exquisite. Two things however were a disappointment: the dessert (a simplified black forest with a cherry jelly and a chocolate mousse) that felt too dense with textures that didn't go well together and the final gift. We were a party of 5 people (2 couples and 1 single person) and there was supposed to be a cookbook from the chef for 2 in the end. Despite asking for it for the single person, the waiter refused to give it because of restaurant rules which shoked my guests (I was the single person). The menu was 150€ per person, which I think justified gifting the cookbook to the extra person even though we were not 6. It is those small gestures that show the quality of service and this really ruined what would have been an excellent experience. As a Portuguese man, I felt ashamed of this behaviour and pointed that out to the waiter. There is still progress to be made in regards to customer satisfaction and understanding that small things can make a huge impact and be a deal breaker for an exquisite meal. Como português, senti vergonha deste comportamento e apontei isso ao garçom. Ainda há progresso a ser feito no que diz respeito à satisfação do cliente e à compreensão de que pequenas coisas podem causar um enorme impacto e ser um obstáculo para uma refeição requintada.

  We went to Eleven in New Year’s Eve and had a terrible experience overall. While the food was ok (nothing worthy of a Michelin star), the service was absolutely horrendous. Two of the three people in the group do not drink alcohol, when we asked if they had any non alcoholic options they said they didn't have any but then I asked if they had ginger beer and they said yes. The waiter never came back to refill water...We had to ask for it each time. The dessert was served at 11:59, by the time we cheered to the new year and watched a couple of fireworks the ice cream was fully melted turning our desserts into a soupy mess. We never got our last course. When we mentioned it to the manager as we were paying our bill he didn't even apologize. He acted surprised and said he'll bring it us. In addition, the audio system didn't work so there was no music of any kind. This restaurant should not have a Michellen star, they don't even come close to deserving it. A sobremesa foi servida às 11h59, quando comemoramos o ano novo e assistimos a alguns fogos de artifício, o sorvete estava totalmente derretido, transformando nossas sobremesas em uma bagunça como uma sopa. Nunca recebemos nosso último curso. Quando mencionamos isso ao gerente enquanto estávamos pagando nossa conta, ele nem se desculpou. Ele pareceu surpreso e disse que nos traria. They seem to be going for a second star based on the whole experience but the small gaps that prevent them from getting it were visible. The ambiance was very minimalistic and not as pleasant as I’d like from a place like this. Very efficient and friendly service of a very fine and excellently prepared tasting menu served with a flight of very well chosen wines. Although it was the most expensive restaurant I visited on my 3 month trip through Europe, the outstanding quality of the whole experience justified the cost!   Eleven is an excellent restaurant. The arugula rissoto with tempura vegetables is superb. I was seat in a private room for an event. Most others ordered the pork and everyone seemed to love it.   This was incredible. Decided to push the boat out for a celebration and this was the first time we’d taken part in a tasting menu, let alone eaten at a Michelin star restaurant. The service from the very start was excellent - rapid, polite, excellent English - and the food was the best we’ve ever had. We had 10 dishes of one form or another and all but one was excellent (they have a very inventive “stone soup” which uses half a chemistry set to infuse but had a bit of a weird texture) - the Parmesan foam and beetroot jelly set the tone, the bream was spectacular and the pre-dessert (orange sherbet with raspberry sorbet) was one of the loveliest dishes I’ve ever eaten. My nut allergy was not an issue at all - a custom dessert made rather than the obligatory fruit salad, all with the minimum of fuss - and the wine pairing option was excellent (with a sommelier explaining why certain options were chosen). Make no mistake, this is pricey - €200 a head with wine pairing and a glass of sparkling wine - but it’s definitely value for money. (Traduzido pelo Google) Isso foi incrível.   It is a great place for either lunch or dinner. The views from the restaurant are amazing, both during the day or the night, but I prefer during the night. The food here is really good, one Michelin star restaurants are usually good and this is no exception. The service is also very nice. Of course it is not cheap, but the food is definitely worth it.   My best experience so far in Lisbon, I highly appreciated the lobster and a bottle of wine from the Dao region. Service is perfect and I've nothing to complain about. If I have to look for a defect the oil served at the beginning may not be up to the job but it is not a problem.   After reading other reviews, we were expecting issues with service - but there were none. Only once over 4 hours and 5 courses we started thinking next course should already come in, otherwise everything was working perfectly. Food was what would be expected for 1-star Michelin restaurant - not spectacular, but enjoyable, well made and well presented. During the evening views to garden were non-existent, but views towards Lisbon centrum were something worth having a table next to a window.   Very nice dinner. The atlantic menue was quite filling. I went for the fish option and red mullet (one of the three fish served ober risotto) was very impressive. Overall a great experience, as one would expect from michelin star restaurant. The staff was attentive and service was well timed.   A really disappointing experience. 4 of us dined together, we found the service to be incredibly slow, staff were not attentive. We were rarely approached throughout the meal, had to ask for more water, never asked to see if we wanted more wine - so had empty glasses almost throughout the experience. None of us really enjoyed the food, some of the plates lacked flavour - especially the dessert. All dishes were not the perfection you would expect from a restaurant of this standard. They offered a 5 course tasting menu that included a cheese plate (!!!) for ~€150, whereas two days earlier we stopped by the 3 Michelin star ABaC in Barcelona and had a 13 course tasting menu for only €190.   This restaurant is one of the best I've ever eaten at. The service is exceptional with the most amazing staff ever. If I ever go back to Lisbon I will definitely have to visit this place. The food is interesting and delicious and made with passion and the love of food. You have to give this Michelin star rated tests a try if you're nearby.   Not at the level of a starred restaurant ! Food was descent thanks to good quality of the ingredients but nothing surprising. Deserts felt totally flat. The Granny Smith désert or the lychee one had no interest. So for this price I definitely don't recommend Last: not sure what is about the view.   Very nice and fancy place. The food was good, specially the fish dishes. The wine recommendations were spot on with Portuguese wine, topped with the German ice wine which was splendid nectar.   Had dinner at Eleven, Lisbon, last evening (24 March) with a group. The entree - cod - was supposedly fresh. It was not. None of us would eat the fish because it was far too salty. The wait service was bad. The upstairs glass-enclosed room was full with other customers. The noise from other customers was so loud that those in our group were only able to speak to those sitting next to us. Michelin needs to promptly remove any stars this restaurant has.   A well-known place of refined cooking. Definitely the mood is high-class but not snobbish at all, and the staff was friendly and very professional at the same time. Went for a full-course menu with wine selection in charge of the staff and was pleasantly surprised it was good and not presumptious. Too bad you have to pay above the hundreds per person, so it is definitely for those who are willing to afford such an expense. Perhaps best saved for a special occasion.   Good views in a contemporary ambience. Tried the tasting menu which was good and priced reasonably.   This is the best place I ate at in Lisbon is up there with the best places I've ever been to. The service was impeccable and the food was pretty amazing. They staff was very accommodating to my 9 person group and were even fine with a last minute addition. I don't usually give 5 star reviews but this is how you do a Michelin Star Restaurant.   The good part: The food was really excellent when it comes to execution and taste and the view from the restaurant is probably the best in Lisbon. The bad part: The service was erratic at best - especially for Michelin Star-standard. Glasses and silverware were often not polished at all. We were served a course without explanation of what we are going to eat twice, had to beg for attention in between and were left waiting for the bill for around twenty minutes (note: the restaurant was half empty, otherwise I would not mention this). That is a pity as the chefs did their best to make this a great experience. The only critique towards the kitchen would be that the dishes were slightly uninspired and very me-too when it comes to fine dining. A slightly more inventive cuisine and completely new service staff would probably benefit this place as the kitchen crew clearly have talent and the location and interior are excellent. However, when it comes to our dining experience, we felt that other Michelin star-restaurants (especially Belcanto) in Lisbon deserve the merits and your visit more. The large selection of Guide Michelin books (on the way to the bathroom), including some antique pieces, is worth checking out, but also testament that the star might be more geared towards attracting foodie tourists rather than advance the local cuisine and provide an outstanding experience to guests. Uma cozinha um pouco mais inventiva e uma equipe de serviço completamente nova provavelmente beneficiariam este lugar, já que a equipe da cozinha claramente tem talento e a localização e o interior são excelentes. No entanto, no que diz respeito à nossa experiência gastronómica, sentimos que outros restaurantes com estrela Michelin (especialmente o Belcanto) em Lisboa merecem mais os méritos e a sua visita. Vale a pena conferir a grande seleção de livros do Guia Michelin (a caminho do banheiro), incluindo algumas peças antigas, mas também uma prova de que a estrela pode estar mais voltada para atrair turistas gastronômicos do que para promover a culinária local e oferecer um excelente experiência aos hóspedes.
