  Great service, very small and busy so you need to book. The oysters were the best thing on the menu for me, great flavors. The truffle dish was good too. The chicken was missing some ponzu or something sour to balance the favours, the mushroom tikka had a bitter aftertaste but it overall flavours very interesting. The onion bhaji was also delightful.   My experience didn’t match the reviews. Perhaps the chef wasn’t there? The food was too salty and very heavy; flavorful, but lacking nuance or excitement. We struggled to finish each dish. The dumplings were my favorite dish. A little too sweet, but good contrast with the acidic kimchi. The quiche is incredibly heavy. All dairy. The mushrooms were decent: bitter and strong. But it is too much after two bites. The chicken was chewy and heavy. Fried chicken should be crunchy and light. A complete miss. It was 35 per person without dessert nor drinks.   I had an excellent experience. Great service followed by a delicious meal. We tried the oysters which were rich and unique. Then the Panissa with cheese and truffle. Crispy outside with soft silky filling and a fluffy pile of finely shredded cheese on top, all with a rich truffle aoli. Then the persimmon salad was a balance of refreshing fruit and cream with hazelnuts and a nice touch of heat. Next the fried chicken had strong toasted sesame flavors, perfectly cooked.   This place is a shared plate concept. So order a few dishes for the table. Oh and try to make a reservation if you can. Not a lot of seating! They do take walk ups if you’re lucky! The onion tarte was actually amazing! I also had the Panissa truffle aioli so good, fried chicken was sensational! Wish I would have got photos of all the dishes, but we ate them so fast!   I would kill for the presa ibérica, it was the most juicy, flavoursome pork EVER. And the honey mustard that came with it was delicious. The tuna tartare was mouthwatering and the arepa beneath it was full of satisfying crunchiness and created a calibrated feel in my mouth, complementing the soft tuna. The strawberry dessert had a Japanese flavour that blended in with the salty chocolate tart I ordered separately.   After choosing this place for the very high review score, we ended up dissapointed with what we got, especially as it was our last meal in Portugal. We started off with a couple of dishes and decided not to order any more as the food was very average for the price. The shrimps were ok, but definitely not great, had many better ones during our stay in Portugal. The chicken was dry and bland and looked better than it tasted. All in all, this place is kind of overrated or we just had bad luck with the dishes we chose.   Incredible experience, portions were perfect and every dish was delicious. Highly recommend the pork if it is still available.   Love this little spot right near Pink Street. The manager is so kind and welcoming, couldn’t get in at the bar without reservations but served us wine outside where we enjoyed the pleasant spring sunshine and music from nextdoor.   Could be described as hip with high fidelity sounds playing in the background but what sets this tone of this place is the food and natural wines. Simply superb on both counts. The Oysters with tigre de leche were so smooth. The broccolini with chickpea puree divine as was the prawn frittata. The bread gets a special mention which I ordered at the end of the meal to mop up the juices and sauces. This is served with fresh butter. When I say fresh I mean fresh and homemade. I couldn't get enough of it and quite inspired to make my own. Staff were excellent and very responsive and unphased however busy it got. This place goes.on my top 10 list.   This has become one of my favourite restaurants in Lisbon. Punchy flavours and seasonal ingredients with in the style of French cooking with a Japanese/Korean twist. Just enough to elevate the dishes - many places do “fusion” wrong, but Dahlia definitely isn’t one of them. We ordered the oysters, broccolini, squid, and beef tartare. Each dish was extremely well thought out and executed. I would happily order all of them again. We also ordered the fried chicken, and sadly it missed it mark. The nori powder was a bit too fine and became uncomfortable, and it needed more of the kewpie and some acidity. Perhaps subbing the nori for furikake and a yuzu mayo would work. That being said, everything else was perfect. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful and the staff were fantastic. Definitely worth eating here.   I'm a private chef who runs experimental fine dining pop up restaurants, I am not the easiest diner to impress, the overwhelming majority of restaurants leave me with with an essay of criticism in my head. Im very happy to say that Dahlia absolved me of my inner critic, the experience was perfect! We sat at the bar as there was no tables, which I think heightened our experience because we got to chat with everyone that was working there, and the service was absolutely impeccable! Everyone appeared to be taking pride and enjoying their work, which is a very rare environment to find in hospitality. We ordered a lot of food, perhaps too much, but I couldn't help myself upon reading the menu. Every dish was amazing, it's a very ingredient oriented menu, which sometimes I can find a bit uninspiring tbh, but not here, they managed to interpret all of this amazing produce in interesting ways, the balance of flavours and textures was spot on.   This is Michelin star quality food. We had the sourdough, broccolini, mushroom gnocchi, fried chicken, and pork with clams, followed by chocolate tart with 4 glasses of wine and a dessert wine. Everything was outstanding, and the gnocchi was one of the best things I’ve eaten. All this for just over €100. And the service was absolutely perfect. Only feedback would be to have more wine choices by the glass, now the mid range and more premium products are by bottle only - I would expect from a wine-focused restaurant to sell more wines by the glass.   I've eaten in a fair few restaurants in Lisbon now, and I'm someone that does my research too. This place became my favourite when I ate there tonight. The service was friendly and professional, but in a casual way, the decor and music is really nice, and the food was so tasty that I ate it slowly on purpose so it lasted longer! Nicely paced dishes, we didn’t feel we were rushed which can often be the case in places like this. Our waiter was a champion. We love him as much as we loved the gnocchi.   Exceptional and creative dishes, unusual wines, very nice service. The polenta (under a different name) with aioli and the warm radish salad both tasted fabulous (too bad the salad came a while after I finished the polenta). The red wine from Teneriffa (!), available by the glass, turned out to be a perfect match for both. Not sure why the music needed to be so loud that even the servers had a hard time understanding me (not just the other way round, which is more common...).   Had supper here by myself and had a gorgeous meal at the bar. Staff were friendly and informative, giving me plenty of attention without being invasive. One of the owners even gave me some great tips about other places to eat in the area during my stay. Whilst I imagine they change the menu often, if you can try the tuna tartar starter - do!   Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this spot for food. We were so excited to come here - However, we felt the food was overpriced for the tiny portions we received. We had four mains (as recommended) along with two small plates, and left still feeling hungry; we ended up going across to a market to fill us up. We also thought the food lacked imagination- we really tried to justify the price of the dishes but we thought everything was pretty underwhelming. On top of this, all five of our courses came out lukewarm- I understand that this may be intentional in some cases, however to have the fried chicken and pork sandwich dish arrive to our table cold felt very strange!   This is a hidden gem. Unpretentious, chill vibes, great attentive service, TASTY TASTY food. The dishes could easily rival any one of the restaurants on the Michelin guide, and it was especially value for money. The wine selection was extensive; also, it was a rare opportunity for us to be able to try so many low intervention wines by the glass (we loved it). We got chatting to Adam and Andreia who were so hospitable that it felt like we were at a wine bar with friends. All-in-all, one of the best wine (and food!) bars we’ve been to, highly recommend.   I had an amazing experience at Dahlia! We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Adam, who clearly cares so deeply about the place and creating a wonderful atmosphere for his guests. Food was an eclectic array of flavors with each tapas dish surprising us (about €8 each) plus options for vegans, vegetarians, omnivores etc. Cocktails (€10-€14 each) were definitely the highlight, whiskey sours, customs creations such as the Sexy Mexi (something like a mezcal chili sour) and the natural wine selections was also nice. The vibe was low lighting, great music, could be a nice date spot, but also great for me and 3 friends. Adam had many recommendations for the city. It was easy to reserve a table ahead of time and they even followed up with a confirmation call. They kept our glasses full, answered our questions, and we just darn nice overall. The experience started going down hill after the food came to the table. Dish after dish lacked flavours, sweetness, saltiness or just overall balance. Not to mention having to send a dish back.
