  Came to this restaurant by chance for a late lunch. They close at 3:30pm and only serve lunch. Ordered grilled sardine and mixed meat with fries. The sardines were wonderful and the fries were exceptionally good. Mixed meat was good too. Would love to try their mixed fish and octopus but they sold out as we arrived late. We ordered three main course and two soft drinks and the bill was under €50 which was cheap in such a central location with such good food too. Would highly recommend.   It was ok at best, I waited for 30 min to be seated as if was raining and full. I could see the menu was simple but that was a good sign. I ordered sardines and Octopus, both really lacking seasoning and the sardines where not cleaned of the innards. I only ordered them as I noticed they where bragging about being the best in the city as soon as you sit down and it's their speciality. Having waited to sit down I was not expecting them to be executed so poorly and with no salt. I noticed the lady behind the grill when I was leaving was not seasoning anything either. It's a shame as the product is good but the basics of cooking them are not being done. The service however was very good and managed the bush restaurant really well.   We got sardines, day meal with the pork belly and French fries and rice and squid. The service not super nice I mean I try ask the wine not spell it correctly but she tell me use my phone download the list. We wait there twenty minute for food. The fish was cold a bit as well as squid the pork belly over burned.   One of our best meals in Lisbon! Walking past diners seated outside, I noticed the grilled, mixed fish platter and decided to give it a try. Nina was our server and was very helpful explaining menu options and the restaurant's history. The food is prepared perfectly and our experience was wonderful. I love stumbling upon places like this and supporting the local community. The place stays busy and seating is limited, so get there early. You will not be disappointed.   We were here a few years back , nice to see that the food is still very good here. We arrived before noon to make sure we got a table. They take reservations , which I was not aware of. By 12:30 the whole place was full. We had the plate of the day (pork belly) and the octopus. Both were very well cooked and delicious. The whole meal with a bottle of wine was €31. You cannot beat the quality of the food and the price . It is only open for lunch, from 1200 -1530. If you come later they will probably be out of most items on the menu. Everything is delivered fresh daily. If you're in the area don't miss this restaurant. Excellent. We will definitely visit again when we are in Lisbon.   One of my favourite restaurants in Lisbon. The food was delicious (well seasoned and grilled), the staff are extremely friendly, and the meals are well priced for the quality that you receive. Friendly suggestion: Reserve your spot beforehand or as soon as the restaurant opens as it gets extremely busy, wait times can be like waiting for a roller coaster ride depending on the crowd and day.   It was very crowded when we arrived. Fortunately we made a reservation a week ahead. The place is very cramped, it is practically sitting and eating together with other strangers. The Sardines are quite salty on the skins but the mixed grilled fishes were good. It is very noisy and you could hardly move your fork and knife without knocking the person sitting next to you.   Food is alright, no noticeable difference from other restaurants around. But you come here for the experience of being packed like a tin of sardines. Move back a little and you back will bump into the person behind you, your elbows have to be on your sides or you will bump against the person beside you, prepare to stand up during your meal so people can move past you. The most claustrophobic restaurant I have ever been in. I learnt that I actually have a minimum space requirement below which would make me feel so uncomfortable.   We ordered the mixed fish and baby squids, I’m usually not a huge fan of fish but this place changed my mind.. or maybe I just never had it cooked properly. It was one of the best meals we had throughout our entire trip. Squid was average though. Fairly busy restaurant, we sat outside and got lucky and didn’t have to wait but line ups formed not long after. Placemat had a QR code in place of a physical menu.   Loved the mixed fish platter! Came with 5 different varieties: salmon, sardines, sea breem, black swordfish and scallops. Each was very nice but the salmon was definitely a standout.   We came here at around 2:00pm and the wait was still at least 30 minutes. If you don't want to wait, either come earlier (like when they open) or come later. This place does simple Portuguese food. We had the polvo (octopus) (13) and the sarindinhas (sardines) (12). The sardines were okay. Nothing special and wouldn't recommend. The octopus was delicious. Very tender and simply seasoned. If you have time to wait for a seat - then I would recommend the octopus. If you don't have time to wait, I would say pass on this.   Location: great location along the stairs. Very nice atmosphere and scenic surroundings. Food/wine: nice selection of wines that all seem to taste really nice. Unfortunately, the cod I ordered was slightly undercooked and had bones throughout. The potatoes that came as a side were undercooked as well.   We enjoyed our dining experience here. It is a busy place and opened for limited hours so it is best to try and make a reservation if you can. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are famous for their sardines, which were good, but we found them to be overly salted. Which I think is a personal preference. Need to be careful while eating because the innards are bitter. Seasoning is also lacking, especially the potatoes.   Truly phenomenal food. I had the mixed fish platter and it was excellent. It came with black fish, corvina, salmon, cod, and a sardine plus boiled potatoes.   Super cute restaurant with good vibes! Menu is simple but perfect if you know you're going for freshly grilled seafood with some drinks. Jenny helped and and she's the CUTEST waitress in the world :)) recommended drink parings and explained everything to me, checked on me several times during the meal. Everyone else were super nice too! I was the last one before they close for lunch and I didn't feel rushed at all, they genuinely let me take my time, and I took the bottled wine I didn't manage to finish home with me. Good vibes to start conversations as well! As a solo traveler, I talked to 2 ladies beside me naturally when one waitress made a joke and we all laughed.   Very busy inside , a few tables outside but very cold day so only a couple occupied. Service by all staff was excellent and all bilingual if Portuguese language not one's forte.   Great value place! Prices are super reasonable, the staff is very friendly. It’s a popular place so you might have to wait to get in - but overall really worth it. The only thing which I found no good - they were bringing food in batches, so we had to wait for our friends’ food to arrive before we all could start eating.   One of the best restaurants in the city centre of Lisbon. The quality of the food is top-notch. We ordered a table of meat with fries and the typical Portuguese soup. The atmosphere is very chill (we went quite early for lunch) and the service is on point. Plus, the bill was very cheap beacuse we booked our table with TheFork. Definitely worth a try.   Honesty, I would give it a 4.5 but feel bad about it because they were so nice, patient with our questions, and food was good, felt very local. We were the first customers and they were ready for us. After that, it got packed with people waiting.   Wanted to go to this place as the reviews were really good. And they didn't lie. A small and ultra friendly little shop with fish being roasted there and then in front of you. Not a huge selection but you don't need anything else really. Everything was great and we enjoyed the green wine. I just can't understand some people sitting next to us to a fish place eating steaks. Perhaps take them off the menu completely? It somehow affects the aura of the place and its scope. Just saying. But we loved it! I love the limited menu and pretty much all the seafood dishes have a face on it. This means that if you are one of the new age generation that is "OMG... its got a face on it.... how amma gonna have me a plate of that when it got a faces looking at meh...." - you know the kind Im talking about... if you're that generation, don't bother turning up here. You will be a massive waste of time. Book your spot online if you don't want to be disappointed. 3 tables outside. Thats it. If you're not prepared, haven't done your homework and haven't got the luck....then come back tomorrow. We had the Squid, Octopus and Sardines. All were sublime. Really really good food.   One of my favorite meals in Lisbon. Ordered the Portuguese board and grilled octopus. Everything was delicious, Olive is not salty, chorizo is smoked but too much. The octopus is chewy and well seasoned. Service was superb too, the waitresses were so nice.   During our trip around Lisbon, we were looking for some seafood or rustic Portuguese grill food. We came across this highly reviewed little placed that offered a variety of fresh seafood and meats.   Waited about 15- 20 minutes for a table and was TOTALLY WORTH IT. We ordered the sardines, octopus and squid for three of us. Food was fantastic. I’m happy this was my experience of grilled sardines in Lisboa. They were crispy, tender and cooked perfectly.   The octopus and fish were all really good. My favourite was the blackfish in the mixed fish platter. The chef changes up the fish platter and you can’t make any substitutions. It was perfect for us since we love trying a little bit of everything. I think this is the most fish I’ve had in one sitting. The beer was refreshing. We sat outside because the inside looked pretty tight, so it was a little bit chilly in March in the shade. The staff were very friendly and they gave us “ginjinha”, a cherry liquor, to try as well!   Food was decent but the outdoor seating is in the midst of a construction site and my octopus was unfortunately lacking char. Overall, I would go back and ask for an extra crispy polvo as the staff were incredibly nice and the food did have great flavour. I think the octopus had a bit of a gummy texture due to a lack of sear and it didn't sit well with me. I would still give this another chance and the other dishes I saw from other patrons seemed to have been blasted with a bit more heat. I think I would have better luck next visit.   Very nice grilled seafoods. I ordered mixed grilled seafoods. It was great and reasonable price. Especially salmon and some white fish was very good taste.   A local restaurant recommended by a local friend. An out of the way place with a fantastic menu. If you come for lunch, expect a wait, but the wait will be worth it. We had the chicken skewers, fried shrimp with garlic, grilled salmon, grilled grouper, and grilled sea bass. All entrees were delicious. Wine by the bottle can be charged by how much of the bottle you drink(we drank all of both bottles so not sure how much a partial bottle would cost). Make sure to try the familia port (port made by the family for customers to drink and not for sale). We will definitely go back to try more items on the menu!   Their specialty is sardines so we decided to try it, it is very tasty but we were disappointed as we were given pre-grilled ones (not freshly grilled). Maybe that is why it was not that good compared to the ones we tasted in Lagos. Maybe because it was a busy day but I wish they don’t compromise freshness to efficiency. I like the bell peppers that comes along with it though. Would go to someplace else if given an opportunity.   The restaurant is situated on some high up steps in between an alley in the shade. A great stop off for lunch while in the hot sun ☀️ The food is great and service even better. Prices are local and superb in comparison to other touristy restaurants. Quality of food was extremely tasty and the wine was “green”. Must visit as they rate very high in Tripadvisor and the total bill was extremely great value. Definitely go for the mixed platters of fish and meat and the squid. The vegetable soup was really tastey, their sausages was one of best I've ever had, and the fish was fresh. Definitely recommend this place.   An incredible local Lisbon joint!! The plates of food were huge and incredible!! Not too expensive, and family style seating. The interior is not huge, but we showed up with 7 and were able to seat right away. I ordered the mixed meat plate, and my wife ordered the mixed seafood plate.
