  Sea Me was recommended by our concierge at Ivens Hotel and it did not disappoint. When you walk in, the restaurant is hip and yet charming. They have fun t-shirts for sale and a great looking dining room. The first thing the waiter did was take us to view the fresh fish selection. It was so cool! We had fresh oysters (amazing), prawns with garlic and chilies (OMG the best!), fresh veggies and Alfonsino fish (SO good)! Every dish tasted better than the last. And don’t forget the gin and tonic — absolutely amazing. This was by far the best meal we had in Lisbon. The only downside was that we were seated next to a table of unruly children who wouldn’t sit down. The staff managed the situation very well, but it was a bummer.   Wouldn't go there twice, food was well presented but below average, even oysters were small, service was lacking as the staff clearly are not professional, and there was not even music as background. Prices were normal though, not high. There are definitely better oyster bars around.   Wonderful modern place with good music, perfect service (the bartender was amazing!) and a broad selection of sea food. The starters were a bit small, the main dish was large enough and everything was very tasty. The octopus carpacho and the tuna with fried egg was top, also the brulé was the best that I tried.   This restaurant is very popular in downtown Lisbon. Here you can eat fish and seafood and you can even try sushi. We choose oysters and Sardine Nigiri as a starter and it was phenomenal, then we ordered as main plates sashimi sushi, tuna steak, tuna bitoque and turbot fish, that were on the perfect point and was incredible. The only problem we had was the time we waited to ask for the food. But although we had that problem I still think it’s a great restaurant and I certainly recommend it.   This place is a must for anyone visiting Lisboa. I love that you can select your fish and have it prepared however you’ll like. My husband particularly enjoyed the sushi. I personally enjoyed the fried fish, and the fried frame. Not one portion of the fish went to waste. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing. Highly recommended.   NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Had a small selection out of the "fish market" Because the waitress spoke almost no English she could not inform us properly. Apparently the small selection set us back 180,- euros for only 2 persons. NO FANCY DRINKING OR FANCY EXOTIC SEA FOOD. A real mood killer for nothing special. My advice don't go!   Massive tourist trap. Avoid avoid avoid. Tasteless food. Small portions and under seasoned. Ridiculously overpriced and not authentic at all!! Everything tastes of lemon and not in a good way.   This was our first night at Lisbon, having just arrived that same morning. We asked the concierge at our hotel (The Ivens) to recommend a nearby seafood restaurant, thinking that we'll have a quick dinner and then turn in. But Sea Me was such a great place, amazing food and service, that we ended up staying for close to 2 hrs and even getting dessert! The concept of this place is basically you select the fish you eat and then they cook it for you. You don't need a lot of bells and whistles because everything is so fresh and tastes delicious. I had some local red fish, which had a very unique, rich taste (maybe the red bream) and then we shared the oysters as an appetizer (yes, please! Very smooth and tasty) and the creme brulee for dessert. Our waitress was excellent and provided the perfect recommendations to us. We had no issues using English everywhere. Now, it could be expensive, we each spent a little over 100 euros/person. But worth the money. If you're close to this central part of Lisbon, highly recommend Sea Me. Nossa garçonete foi excelente e nos forneceu as recomendações perfeitas. Não tivemos problemas em usar o inglês em todos os lugares. Agora, pode sair caro, cada um gastou pouco mais de 100 euros/pessoa. Mas vale o dinheiro. Se estiver perto desta zona central de Lisboa, recomendo vivamente o Sea Me.

  There were 5 of us visiting this seafood restaurant in Lisbon. We loved the atmosphere- very relaxing. The waitress we had was very professional & helpful. Food also was good, I am giving 4 stars only because out of all dishes nothing was above “good”. Anyway, this restaurant definitely should be suggested to visit out of all we ate at Lisbon.   So this review is very hard to write. Why because this was my second time at the restaurant. The first time I came I order grilled fish and veggies. The second time I came with my brother I ordered order otocpus and tiger shrimp wonderful meal. My brother order grilled fish and it had a hair embedded in the fish possibly as it was cooked. The waitress watched him pull the air out as she filled my glass of wine and acted like nothing happened. We asked if they would replace it or take it off the bill. They replaced it with a very small piece of fish and acted like it didn’t happen. This might be the only review you read that might be semi bad because the food tasted good but we had this one issue with my brother having hair in his food that wasn’t handled well.   Had a fantastic dinner here seated at the counter. We had so much food ! My favorite were the Scarlett Shrimps, but their sushi is off the charts delicious. We had such a great service from Sofia we could have stayed all night. Everything was perfect and I’d go back here in a heart beat.   Be careful! It's a tourist trap and overpriced. For someone who knows and loves seafood, this is not worth it. We were told to order from the fresh seafood bar. Our server never told us the weight/cost of the fish. For one seabreem, 6 scallops, side vegetables and 1 water, it was 138 euros. Plus they charge 4 euros per person for a "coverage " charge. The scallops were not fully cooked and had no flavor. When we told the server, she took them away and came back with the same ones half eaten just more cooked (still no flavor).   Great food but terrible waiting staff. Keep the chefs and change the waiters/hostess. We reserved for 10pm, and arrived at 10:05 only to find that our table wasn’t ready. we had to wait till 10:40pm to get a table. fine, we ate at the bar so it was still enjoyable. however, this next event is what made me write this review. At the end of the night after paying a 400 euros check, we decided to get Pastel de natas and since Mantegeria’s espresso machine broke, we came back here for some espressos to enjoy with the pastel de natas and the bartender rudely told us that we weren’t allowed to eat it in the restaurant. i mean come on? we come to your establishment, spend good money on food and despite you guys being late with our table we simply ask to enjoy them with our 4 espressos. i don’t think it would cost you anything to give us 4 small plates to enjoy a bite with our espresso, definitely would have at least not cost you this bad review. the waiting staff needs a lesson in hospitality, i’ve come to this place years ago and the reviews were not declining. The food is really great so if you can just fix your staff’s lack of hospitality this place would be a 5 star place. also the hostess was extremely inexperienced.   We went there for a lunch but unfortunately we had to leave. The staff was extremely rude, except one lady. We went in, 6 people and a dog. We were seated by the long table. Our dog was placed under the table in a bag. When walking in we didn’t hide her. There was no visible sign that dogs were not allowed anywhere.   I honestly don't understand the hype this place received in prior reviews. In my opinion it is overpriced for what it is. There's better sushi around, there's better seafood restaurants around that charge 1/2 the price of what's charged here. Mostly tourists frequent this place judging from what we saw and prior reviews. Upon seating you're immediately presented with a bread basket. Later it turns out they charge 4.5 euro per person for it. They refuse to serve you tap water. Nearly 3 euro per oyster, small bowl of the recommended by the server fish soup (12 euro) was very underwhelming to say the least. Food was beautifully presented. Octopus was good but nothing special. Two tentacles were like 30 euro (?why). Sushi sampler platter - again nothing memorable. Can't recommend.   This has become a bit of a favourite for me when I'm in Lisbon. Great food and very good customer service. The greeter weren't the best but once we got a seat at the bar the service was outstanding even though it was very busy with a constant queue of people waiting to be seated. Not the cheapest place in town but very good value for money. Will come back again and would recommend it to anyone who's after some great seafood in Lisbon that won't drain your bank account.   We were able to secure a last minute reservation at this restaurant and it was amazing! There’s a great long, communal table in the middle that we sat on and the overall atmosphere is modern. There’s a great display of all the fresh catch that you can choose your meal from too. The food was great, simply put… we started with an order of the Cockles and Razor Clams; I think Razor Clams are my all-time favorite things! I also ordered the Prego, which I found to be one of the best I’ve had so far in Lisbon. We finished off with the Dorado, grilled and seasoned to perfection! The food here was just really, really good! Service wise, all the servers were very friendly and were great to the kids (we had the youngest kids there). I would highly recommend this restaurant!   Best oysters ever! Get the FRESH grilled scallops (6 for a main is plenty - scallops with mango are frozen) Very loud, but feels like a real fish market. We loved everything except one thing. Be sure to say NO to the bread and olive oil and small amount (2 ounces for two people) of crab pate. They don't ask of you want it, but charge 4.5 euros Per Person- bad value there as you can get three fresh oysters or two salads for less money. The Oysters were so good!   Worst meal I ever had. Ordered prawns, saw in case, was given shrimp though they called them prawns but they were not. Manager was rude and said “it was way we do things’. Poor poor service.   Totally not worthit . Prices not shown in the menu which only has a cheap dishes in it. Prices were covered with ice in the counter. Very dodgy trick. We paid €116 just for 3 shrimps .   Food was good, we enjoyed seafood, it was fresh and tasty, however, prices are unpredictable. They do not tell you how much it is going to cost, you see price per KG, but amount they have cooked you will learn once you receive a check. Bread and other things were not complimentary as we thought, be aware, ask and expect the bill to be bigger than you thought. Bread was put to the table without any information or Comments, after we were charged as 4,50 eur per person, which is quite upsetting. We were expecting to have a 90 eur bill for two, but ended up with 140 eur. Waiters do not know much about wine card, and seggestionwise they are quite immature. So far, we recommend this restaurant, as it is indeed very nice, but for the prices experience Coukd be much better.   This restaurant was recommended to us by our local tour guide and it did not disappoint! They offer a wide variety of different seafood and you can decide exactly how you want it cooked! The sardine nigiri is a MUST TRY! The wine selections were fabulous as well! The most impressive part of our experience was actually our servers, Claudia and Ruben, who were absolutely amazing! They were extremely helpful and made great recommendations on things to try! This was also the best dessert and port pairing that we had on our entire trip, don't skip on dessert!   It was a little bit confusing because they have a different restaurants about 5 buildings down. However, when we got there it was a smooth experience. You will have fantastic bread with different spreads to start and they will bring you over to all of the extremely fresh fish and seafood to show what is available for that dinner service and help you make your choice.   I was left extremely disappointed and frustrated after my visit to this restaurant. Despite paying a staggering 55 euros for just two scallops, I was shocked to find that multiple items had been added to my bill that I never even ordered - including a 70 euro bottle of wine! To make matters worse, when I tried to address these issues with the staff, I was met with nothing but rudeness and deceit. They even had the audacity to gaslight me by claiming that two measly scallops actually weighed a whopping 300 grams. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and is tantamount to theft and fraud. It's a shame that a restaurant like this is allowed to operate and tarnish the reputation of Lisbon. If the management doesn't take this seriously, they will continue to lose customers and damage their brand. I urge anyone considering visiting this restaurant to beware of these thieves and to check their bill thoroughly. I only wish I had taken the earlier reviews more seriously and avoided this unpleasant experience altogether.   Do not go to this restaurant. It is not worth the price.. Feel free to message me about why the seafood was fresh and could have been outstanding but was not properly prepared.   Disastrous last meal in Lisbon, I thrown everything up on the flight and I am still recovering from Gastroenteritis. Definitely avoid this restaurant. Generally, besides the food poisoning experience, the food taste bad and it is overpriced. You are welcomed with a trio of dips with a basket of cold bread, and they cost €9. Sea food are over cooked, I feel sorry for the shrimp and monkfish. The side dishes taste really bad, even for the pumpkin and potato. We end up with a bill for around €60(no wine, dessert and coffee) per person, I consider me lucky of being ripped off less compare to others who commented here.   This is the first time I've eaten oysters here. I know that oysters should at least move a little, but even when I added lemon juice to their edges, nothing happened. We tried two of them, and after 24 hours we felt very bad. that's such a nuisance, and the staff, by the way, was friendly and calm.   It’s a pretty restaurant in the city center, the prices are okay for the quality. But you get the fish with all its bones and it’s really unpleasant to eat it this way. The Tunasteak itself was okay, but it came with a brown sauce which became a strange combination. In general the combination tasted wired. We also had the sushi which I can recommend. White wine was fine, too. Can recommend the restaurant, but consider eating fishbones. Service was great.   Fun and noisy restaurant. The seafood is fresh, since you pick it from their display. The food was delicious-other reviews say it better. The only problems (not related to the food) we went to Sea Me Next Door (which was a few doors down from this restaurant), figuring out the correct restroom (some icons on the door rather than just fish references would help), and don’t hide the faucets under the mirror (watched two guys leave without washing because I believe they couldn’t find it).   We enjoyed a fantastic evening at Sea Me. We just walked in to see what it looked like and we were able to book a table at 21:30. We were guided through the different options from the fresh fish section and decided to go for scallops and shells. The waiter advised us on a nice wine to go with the meal.   While the food itself was good the price per quality was lacking. We arrived shortly after it opened and were able to get a table with no issues on a Friday night. The fish is fresh but the prices are high which is likely why you didn't see any locals, just a room full of tourists. Service was sub par as there would be long stretches without checking on us perhaps because we didn't order a lot of dishes or ordered any alcohol. That said the cockles, Spanish mackerel (unlike any I have had before, almost like a tartare, and had a wonderful plum dollops on the side), and salmon with scallops sushi were very good.   After sampling some of this restaurant’s dishes at the Time Out Market we decided to visit the place where they originated from. Once our table was allocated, we were taken to view the latest ‘catches of the day’ and decide if we would like any of the fresh items cooked or if we wanted to choose straight from the menu. As the seafood looked amazing we decided on both! We chose the Pan Sea Prawns and Garlic (from the menu), Scallops, Tiger Prawn (extra large)(from the fresh selection) plus some vegetables. Without a doubt this is some of the best seafood we have ever eaten and the Prawns with Garlic still make our mouths water just thinking about them!! We overheard a couple at another table say this was their 3rd visit during their trip for the octopus and we could understand why they kept coming back. We only wish it had not been our last day in Lisbon as we would have definitely gone back again before we left. An absolute must visit!!   Had the fresh fish in 9 moments which I would highly recommend for those who want to eat every part of the fish including the head. The sardine sushi was also superb but I didn't really enjoy the ceviche. Had a wonderful time and the wait staff were lovely too. It really does have a kind of fish market feeling as you get to choose your fish from a fish stand (similar to seafood restaurants in Egypt or some Mediterranean countries), however don’t be fooled as this is a pricey restaurant which is very hyped. Although overpriced, the food quality lives up to the hype. Oysters were fresh and sushi was as good as you would find in an upscale Japanese restaurant but the choices in sushi is limited. Definitely worth trying the sardine sushi which is special to Sea Me and Portugal. This place is always very busy, so make sure to book. At peak time unfortunately the service could be a bit slower and less attentive due the fact that the restaurant is busy. Have been there twice though and would go back again.   We came here based on a recommendation from the hotel we stayed at. To say this was an utter disappointment is an understatement. The staff was cold and hard to find, even though the restaurant was half empty. Our waitress disappeared at some point and appeared again at the end of our meal with no explanation. They needed reminders to get us something simple like bread. The food was mediocre and way over priced. I wish we had gone somewhere else. We have been in Lisbon a week and also to Porto and almost every other place has been great. By far this was the worst restaurant we have been to in all of Portugal.   In terms of food, tuna tataki with wasabi sorbet was excellent and tartare (fish of the day) was amazing too. My least favourite was 'mussels and squid black rice' coz rice was slightly overcooked. Since we visited busy night of the week ( Friday night), very crowded and felt like joining the table next to each other, because of this reason, for me definitely not the best dining vibe. Price was quite reasonable. Service was okay. Overall, if you are a seafood lover, you would enjoy, but I would recommend to visit less busy days or night than Fridays or Saturdays in order to feel more vibe.   We came here for New year's Eve. Food was nice, nothing spectacular but the alcohol was included in the price and they didn't hold back so no complaints here! The highlight was the John dory with fig, so unusual but really delicious. They forgot to serve us desert but apart from that service was good as we were at the bar.   The fish and sushi were amazing and well plated. The waiter was also very kind and patient. We had no problems with anything until we looked at the bill. 150€!   Amazing experience and great food. This is one of the most well oiled restaurants I have ever been to. Every server and the manager were in sync with each other, it was incredible. They take you to the fish bar and show you all the fish options that you can have and suggest what is the freshest. Then they prepare it in traditional Portuguese style.   Absolutely delicious!!! So much seafood we didn’t know where to start. The freshest high grade sashimi to start followed by beautiful oysters, delicious crab and a main of scorpion fish and tiger prawns. Just wow!!   Japanese/Portuguese infused style, really cool concept with a catch of the day fish/seafood market in the back of restaurant. Seafoods fresh and cooked right after it's picked. The restaurant is very modern and hip, recommended to make reservation ahead of time but they do have a couple of walk in seating at the bar. Must go when in Lisbon!   Are you kidding me! This is the best food we had in Lisbon (and we ate a lot of good food). The bartenders were ridiculous (great). There was one dish we liked so much we ordered it a second time...and they said NO! They said we had to try another dish and it was fantastic. They have a great DJ playing good tunes and a great vibe. Definitely a must go to restaurant. We spent 3.5 hours at the bar. (Traduzido pelo Google) Você está brincando comigo!   If you are looking for a sushi restaurant, keep looking. This place really is a seafood restaurant. We had the cuttlefish tempura and grouber tartare to start. The tartare was mixed at the table and both were delicious. For main we had half a john dory from the fish counter which was cooked in a simple way with roasted veg and the fish eggs on the side. The fish was super fresh and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and the orange tart. The mousse was rich and thick but in a good way. The orange tart was incredibly light and refreshing. We also had a really good local white wine and the whole bill was in the region of 160 euro (We live in Switzerland so this is very very reasonable).   This restaurant is not Japanese one. It is pure sea food restaurant with enough variants of fresh fishes. Due to a lot of choices, it will be difficult to decide what to order but they kindly take you beside kitchen and you'll see the fishes you can order.   Let me start by saying they have great fish and know their seafood and wines. It's an excellent place to enjoy a great meal for a good price. But I do have to add two things: it's way to noisy to have a good conversation. And although their sushi looks awesome and the fish in it is great. Their sushi rice is of a poor quality completely not giving the sushi it's desired flavor. Perhaps it was just my bad luck that day. But I hope they will improve on it.
