  Great place to eat vegan sushi in Lisbon. The food was really good (I would recommend the miso soup and hot roll) and the staff was incredibly attentive and nice. They even offered us an extra dish because of a misunderstanding with our order. The place is quite small but clean and cozy and they play some great music there.   If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! Our first experience here was so great we had to come back a few days later. We had the Tempura veg and 24 piece sushi combination and both were excellent. The presentation is stunning and there's so much variety in the look and taste of the sushi. Everyone there was so lovely and the place has a nice, calm atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique vegan (or even if not!) experience in Lisbon.   This is a true hidden gem of Lisbon. It's a tiny restaurant serving the most amazing sushi I've ever had! My wife and I got the 24 combo rolls "ship" and we loved each and every one of them. A lot of variety, different ingredients, different flavours, perfect consistency... Wow! We washed them down with Japanese beer, and we were treated fabolously by the cook and the rest of the crew.   Pregnant lady with a craving for Sushi - not ideal until I came across this place! The service was a delight from beginning to end, the staff, especially the owner were super friendly and welcoming. I've never had vegan sushi before so had no expectations, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The flavours of the shrimp and salmon were almost exact it blew me away. I was even offered some extra plates to try different flavours. Topped off by a non-alcoholic panaché, I rolled out of the restaurant fully content and craving satisfied :).   We had the most amazing experience at this restaurant! The owner is the sweetest and so accommodating. He was incredibly apologetic for the delay in service (because it was so busy of course, no fault of their own). He also told us that the restaurant idea was inspired by his young daughter who was passionate about veganism. Such an incredible family. Not to mention this was the best sushi I’ve personally ever had. We ordered the sushi boat and there was not one thing that I didn’t enjoy. 100/10 recommend. We ordered the 30 piece sampler and it contained a variety of unique flavors and ingredients and was more than enough for two hungry adults. No two rolls were alike.   An absolute must!! 6 of us were trying to decide on a place for dinner and we’re all SO glad we could all agree on sushi. Truly the best vegan sushi any of us have had. The presentation was beautiful and the miso soup was truly the best any of us had ever eaten- it’s obvious how much love is put into the food here.   i’m vegan and absolutely love vegan places in Lisbon, but the experience there wasn’t that great. the food was AMAZING but the waiter there was not prepared at all - i really felt like she didn’t work there, didn’t know exactly what to do. me talking to her in portuguese, she was a bit lost and couldn’t understand. even when my friend asked for wasabi and she didn’t know what it was - it’s a sushi restaurant! when we asked for the bill it took a looong time with only 2 others tables & thought she had forgotten it. then she brought it and i asked if we could pay by card (a bit obvious), she said they didn’t (!!) so we had to get cash out. and then later she said we could do MBWay - but she told me just cash. bottom line, she doesn’t understand english OR portuguese. i loved the food, but it’d be very hard for someone to work there as a waiter.   Both the food and the delivery treatment were awful. We ordered a delivery an hour an a half ago. We waited patiently for the time it was supposed to arrive at, and when it didn't arrive we tried to call the restaurant multiple times but it was almost impossible to reach them. When they finally answer, the woman told me it would take another 30 minutes! It was so rude to not even let me know and ask me if I'd like to wait or cancel the order. But that's not all! The set arrives with about 10 different kinds of sushi. Honestly, none of them was good. Some even not edible to me. Flavors not balanced, fruits in the sushi (seriously? If I have wanted a fruit plate I would have ordered one), most of the rolls are super simple with the most basic vegetables, I honestly don't know what the fuss is all about. Needless to say I'd never order from there again. For others who actually know what a good vegan sushi is and actually have standart, you can skip this place and save yourself the disappointment.   I had it for takeaway, they were very nice but I was really really disappointed with the food itself. They had nice ideas but as other ppl mentioned the rice was not well made at all, was too moist (more like actually wet) and not tasty, was not proper sushi rice. Almost no seaweed and it was saggy too. Those too things completely ruined the flavor and what would have been creative turned really bad. I paid the high price justifying as it would be of a superior quality, but wasn't worth it at all I actually regret ordering :(. As a plant-based eater on a trip with a few carnivores, I was very excited to spot this place and made it a point to visit it for lunch on one of our days in Lisbon.   We loved it! We never had only vegan sushi before. Before arriving in Lisbon I researched and found the advice for this restaurant on the website of timeout. We are not (yet) vegans but this restaurant you should definitely check out. We had the Menu Degustation. We could eat as much as we wanted for around 22 Euros per Person. On the day we went we didn't make an reservation and still got a place. The service took probably a bit longer than normally since it was one Day before New Years. But we didn't care. It was an amazing experience and we enjoyed being there, talking and enjoying the amazing food. They should definitely make a cooking book! :) It's a bit up the hill, and it took some time until we were there and we could only pay with cash, but the view which we had when going up was amazing.   Our visit started on a wrong foot since they had missed our table reservation and we got "whatever table" they had left. It was quite busy and it took 45 min for our food to be prepared. Ordered delivery and was sad to find out a tiny sushi ( what they call the big boat) with almost no seaweed, rice that was not done like propper sushi rice and a lot of sweet things.   I really loved the sushi here. We ordered the chef's suggestions and there were so many different types of sushi and clearly a lot of thought has gone into it. The interior is quite simple but there was live music which made for a nice atmosphere. Quite a few couples/groups were turned away as it was so busy so make sure you book a table.   Really nice local vegan sushi spot. Felt as though this was not even opened for vegan tourists but just for locals. The menu is pretty simple and reasonably priced for vegan sushi. When we came the chef was under a lot of pressure because he was alone and so it took almost an hour for us to get our sushi - but we got free miso soup which was nice. As for the sushi - you don’t pick the rolls the chef chooses, some were great (like the vegan shrimp nigiri) but some really were bad. I don’t really get the use of fruits in sushi and in this place the chef really likes it even when they don’t fit together - most of the sushi felt really sweet which was at times really off putting.   Some of the best vegan sushi I have ever tasted if not the best. I had the €22,95 tasting menu and everything in it was great! It was all you can eat and definitely more than enough for one person! I even had a dessert which was delightful and fresh. So many different flavors and textures, I could not decide which one was my favorite. Even the Miso soup was probably the best I have ever had.   We decided to wait until the excitement and state of highness could cool down to write a more objective review about the place and our experience. But that never really happened. So here we go... There are only a few moments in life where you come to experience pure, true passion and creativity - and this was 100% the case with Legumi. Starting with the presentation, continued by inovative use of ingredients, concluding in a spectacularly, sensually overwhelming explosion of flavours - not even mentionning the exceptional warmness and competence of the personell. Every dish, every ingredient, every touch of every single dish unveiled what you can only call the work of an artist, thouroughly thought through until it's tinest detail, finding its way to us, accompanied with a genuine smile. The place took us completely by surprise and we were totally blown away by all of it. We spent hours talking about this experience and it is abslutely frustrating not being able to put every bit of this incredible found into words and into this, but it is simply that we felt that this is a case where money is not enough and we felt we owe a close-to-truthful recollection of what we felt and tasted here. As a little parenthesis, I am no vegan myself, my partner is, but for this place I could easily let go of the old, traditional ways of japenese food.   Wonderful new place, we visited for a quick dinner and the sushi and all other items were awesome! The service was wonderful and it was a great experience to eat there. Need to go back for the chef's boat! Highly recommend the place for both vegans and non-vegans.
