  You think you've had enough Middle-Eastern food in your life-time? Not until you've visited Mezze, you haven't! Not only is their food amazing (oh, the baba ganoush!), they also make their own lemonade and have really friendly and attentive staff. When we got the check, we felt a bit bad, because food this good usually costs more 😳 The restaurant itself is very laid-back.   Below average Middle Eastern food. All grills are overcooked and dry to the point of being inedible. Tabbouleh and hummus were bland. Tamarind juice was nice.   We went as a school group for a project and Francisca received us very well, explaining all about their project and the restaurant. Then we had lunch and most children said it was "the best meal they've ever had in their lives"! We had fatouche salad, falafels, chicken kebabs, borek and rice. We also had desert! Hmmmm.   Amazing food but would reccomend booking in advance and letting them know you want to sit inside in winter. We booked a table in advance but forgot to specify inside. We were sat outside, they did put the heaters on until we had to turn them off as the power kept going out. They also forgot to tell us that 2 out of their main Mezze weren’t available. The food we got was absolute amazing! Highly recommend as the quality of food was brilliant!   A place where we return again and again. Authentic Middle Eastern food, mostly Lebanese, definitely best in Lisbon. Better to go with more people, so you can try more different food. 2 mezze menu’s for two persons is a lot of food (we manage to finish, but no space for desert).   We tried Mezze because of the great selection of vegan options. We were so blown away by the food! It was so delicious. The vegan options were really varied and tasted amazing. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and contributed to the lovely atmosphere. We loved trying Syrian dishes we hadn't eaten before. The price of the food was really reasonable, and I was impressed by the wine too. Thank you, Mezze! I definitely recommend eating here.   Really disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The concept for the food is in the right direction but missing the ability to add more significant main courses on an ala carte basis. The menu is still manageable to share but a bit more consideration to the ala carte menu would have been a nice addition. The food, though well cooked, is lacking in seasoning and flavour unfortunately. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant because of the service and the ambiance - both of which were completely lacking. Service was extremely disappointing - it is apparent that there is a lack of training to servers. Ambiance was terrible - the restaurant itself is a nice space but the small things are completely overlooked. Paper towels instead of proper napkins is a tangible example. During our visit, the music, which was at one point a radio station, turned off resulting in a very odd and uncomfortable atmosphere as you could clearly hear the conversations of the tables next to you. Overall I would love to return to this restaurant if it was able to up its game but until then I would recommend looking for alternative middle eastern options.   At Mezze you can get really good syrian dishes for a fair price considering the lovely service and the high quality of the dishes. The ambient is average and not outstanding but that doesn't mean that it is something negative as I really liked dining in the market hall. I think my favorite dish were the falafel. So crispy on the outside and full of flavor on the inside. All of the waitresses were courteous and made this dinner super special. We will come back for sure!   My friend did recommend this place since they lovet it so much, when they was in Lisbon. I had to try it, but it did not meet my expectations. I did eat the menu 5 where you get two small chicken kebabs(halal), smoked rice with bell peppers, ginger and cashew nuts, syrian bread(one flat bread), hummus and beans. It tasted good but it the hummus was not good especially when it is a middle east restaurant. It looked like hummus but did not taste much of it. Since i am a hummus lover this makes me give one less star. The second less star is because they sold me Labneh & Zeytouna for 3,5 € without i did know. After i order the food the waiter did put it on the table without saying if i eat of it they will charge me, i thought it was free from the house like mostly restaurants when they get you some wothout ordering it. The table next to me also got it. I think it is a bad move especially when i could choose something much better to the same price if i knew they would charge me. What I really did not like was that they bring you a plate of couverts (appetizer) and say here's some couverts but they don't say that it's not free. I was lucky enough to have a table with a kitchen view and it was just a pleasure to see authentic food making and fresh products. Finally, how does it works ? Basically, your option is to enjoy a patchwork of mezzé (little dishes, usually starters in some countries), pre listed. But you also have the option to make your own patchwork and choose “à la carte”. Wines, other non alcoholic beverages and desserts are in the menu as well. No cocktails.   Nice place with very good food, a bit expensive though. You would choose a set menu that will come with several side dishes. For a set meal with drinks, dissert and coffee, it will be around 22 euros, each person. The set menus come with a price range of 12 to 15 euros, the drink would be 2.50, dissert 2.50 and Syrian tea 2.50 euros.
