  So good I went there twice in 2 days! Such a lovely find and the staff and food is amazing! I had the avocado toast with extra mushrooms the first time and the scrambled tofu with tomato the second time. And also ordered a ginger shot and black coffee. They roast their own coffee and it did not disappoint!   I wish I could give this review more than 5 stars. That was the best plate of food I've had in years (Cashew cheese and tomatoes on toast). The presentation was immaculate, the staff were friendly, and the taste was wonderful. A perfect dish. I'm only sad that I'm only visiting Lisbon for a few days to enjoy more of Manjerica's food.   We have been here twice now. First time we both had poached eggs on avo toast, a fruit bowl and coffee. Delicious and beautiful fresh produce. The menu is well thought out and easy to navigate with vegan, vegetarian and other allergen information clearly marked. Today we came back for coffee and something nice. My husband had apple crumble with greek yoghurt. Very good. I had a ‘donut’ which was more a donut shaped baked good. I did not care for it, it was both strangely moist and dry at the same time. Not really my taste, someone else may enjoy it. Plus we each had a vegan pastel de nata… and Oh Boy! Best nata we have had… and we have randomly eaten nata all over the city. So so good!   I wouldn’t call this a vegan restaurant it’s vegetarian which I don’t think is that clear.   Great vegetarian spot for brunch! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating space, quick service and healthy food. Good size of a cappuccino (I have been missing my larger size when traveling in Europe 😅).   This is such a cute place! If you live around here, you should definitely try it. I had eggs Benedict with avocado and it was the best I’ve had in Lisbon.   My wife and I decided to try breakfast here due to the good reviews but were overall quite disappointed with our experience. First of all, the coffee is on the pricier side. Americano was €2.90, and it was smaller than most other places we've been to in Portugal. Taste was just average. The real disappointment began when we tried to order food. I tried to order the acai bowl, but apparently they ran out despite opening just 15 minutes earlier. So we asked for a few minutes to take another look at the menu and pick a different item. However, when we tried to order again a few minutes later, I was informed they had run out of my second choice, pancakes, as well. I'm not even sure how you run out of pancakes unless they are premade frozen pancakes. Frustrated at this point, we ended up just ordering oatmeal and avocado toast. We would have appreciated if the server had told us when we sat down what dishes were already sold out as we might not have stayed. By the time we found out, the coffee was already on the way. The oatmeal was no better than instant oatmeal you'd get from the grocery store, maybe even a bit worse and it cost €9. The avocado toast was very tough and difficult to cut. Portion size for both dishes was small, considering the price. Overall would recommend finding another place to eat Breakfast. We wish we had.   Manjerica is a casual spot for good vegan and vegetarian dishes just off Praca de Figueria in central Lisbon. They have a relaxed indoor seating area along with outdoor seating while opening hours are presently 9am to 8pm (Sun - Thurs), 9am to 4pm (Fri) and closed (Sat). Wait staff were so friendly and helpful during our meal, making dish and drink recommendations and just being overall very pleasant people. We found the mushroom with pink hummus wrap to be just fine. This is a fairly simple order that they prepared very well. Seriously impressive was their Chickpea burger with tapenade, sun-dried tomato and spinach. This was a fantastic vegan burger that honestly tasted delicious, one I'd eat regularly if we had something of this quality available back in Hong Kong. Drink orders were just fine during our lunch. Overall, we were happy with our lunch at Manjerica. Service was great, environs good, menu features plenty 100% plant based options with recognisable dishes. Would gladly return next time in Lisbon for the chickpea burger and to try other items on their menu.   Our hotel was a short walk away, so after we had our first breakfast here we kept coming back until the end of our trip! Lovely selection of tasty vegan breakfast items. The mushroom tofu scramble was so tasty and a definite highlight! A bit of inconsistency with the seasoning on the toast soldiers as some batches were very salty and some had the perfect amount. Least favourite item was the acai bowl, my partner was disappointed in this as it wasnt the smoothie bowl he was used to, but instead was a lot of fruit topped with ice cream-like scoops of acai.   Awful awful food. Everything was stone cold. Fried eggs were cold, rubbery discs. Pumpkin pancake arrived cold. We asked for it to be remade hot. It was sent back having been microwaved. Still wasn’t hot, but was now chewy in addition to being cold. Eggs Benedict arrived cold with raw poached eggs (apparently they were sous vie’d??), and the sauce overtop rather than on the side as requested. The muffin was bread, and the bread was stale and cold. I sent it back and was offered scrambled eggs on avocado toast. Took ages to arrive and was then cold. The eggs were just about edible, the toast was not. Finally the mini pancakes arrived, after over an hour. They were also stone cold, stale, and dry. All three coffees were cold. We ate and drank what we could but ended up leaving grumpy and hungry after over 90 minutes. They originally offered us a few things off the bill, but ultimately comp’d the whole thing, and which was the only right thing they did all day! Never again.   This is a place with a beautiful interior and friendly staff. The food was good, but a bit pricey for what it was. I got a feijoada, which is a traditional Portugese dish. The non-vegan version is made with beans and meat. The vegan feijoada I got was essentially rice and beans, with some sweet potato, and it cost €14. While it tasted good, I felt it was a bit overpriced. The mocha I got was really good. Note that this restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, but they have a great coffee selection.   The worst experience ever in this place. The waiter knows nothing not only about good coffee but also about good customer service. They brought me this cup of I don’t know what (made at wrong temperature, tastes terribly, coffee not mixed up with a milk) and a waiter who behaved very arrogantly and clearly just wanted to be right called this their flat white. As anyone who can understand coffee can see in this picture this is a terrible coffee done with the wrong temperature that has nothing to do with a flat white. When I asked for a difffent coffee, he refused to replace it or take it off the bill. I had to get up and leave cause this wasn’t a good experience and I was not going to pay 4€ for this terrible coffee. Their eggs Benedict also aren’t great and also often come cold so well done Manjericao on losing another customer and all the other people I could have brought here (my office is nearby). P.s. I would strongly recommend a manager to reavaluate keeping a waiter who claims to speak many languages. He’s arrogant, knows nothing about coffee and isn’t great at what he does.   This is a real find in this part of town if you want generous amounts of vegetables/plant-based food, I am not consistently vegetarian but it was so good that I ate here twice on a short holiday. Loved the tomato salad, super fresh, generous and beautifully dressed with herbs. The chickpea and peanut burger with olive tapenade was fantastic too. Ambience was beautiful, the staff were charming, helpful and seemed to enjoy what they are doing.   Honestly not terrible. Staff is kind and the place is cool. Ingredients were fresh. However the food was a bit disappointing, especially as a vegan.   This place has the most attentive staff I have ever encountered. Super friendly and helpful, always smiling, noticing if you need anything, while still being discreet.   A great little restaurant, perfect for a break with vegetarian and vegan dishes and drinks. Even as a non-vegetarian I found the selection great. I had the cashew cheese toast which was a good snack size and very tasty. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I can recommend the Manjerica to anyone who wants something different than the usual tourist food and wants to eat delicious or just enjoy a coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.   Amazing vegatarian restaurant in the touristic area of Lisbon, near Tram 28 start line, that makes it perfect for a brunch/lunch pitstop between touristic activities. We went for the Açaí bowl, dip board (wow!), eggs Benedict LT with avocado, orange juice and Golden latte. Photos with everything that we ordered and the menu from today 14/11/2022 attached. The host speaks perfect English, so it’s very easy to order and get around. They are also very nice, helpful and the food came super fast! The overall service is impeccable. I also like the interior design, very classic and also very clean. Overall a very nice experience while in Lisbon, I highly recommend it A+. They don’t try to make it taste like meat, instead letting the wonderful flavors of vegetarian ingredients shine. The guacamole wrap isn’t a “fake Mexican chicken wrap.” Instead, the guacamole is fresh, the green leaves are rich and the tofu is left to be its yummy self. Lisbon doesn’t disappoint.   Cozy and rather a bit posh-side cafe where you can sit and work with a laptop. They have a large table for those in need to do digital work and they let me use the plug as well, which is great. I see many tourists with suitcases so I reckon they’re the guests from nearby hotels. Pancakes are good, they have nice selection of drink menu including “Dirty chai” :) staffs are friendly as well.   Nice and bright restaurant at the city center. It is vegetarian and plant-based. The food was good. The bread was a little bit too crispy, though. The hot chocolate seems to be made from real chocolate (which is unfortunately not for me but my boyfriend lived it). The coffee was good. You can choose from coffee from different countries.   One of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Absolutely fantastic. The foam they managed to get out of oat milk… wow. Great food as well, I loved the fact that they tell you what’s vegetarian, vegetarian with diary, vegetarian with eggs, vegan, etc. It’s easy to know what you can and can’t eat if you have an allergy. The only reason I’m taking 1 star off is because the prices are a bit too high for the portions you get. But maybe that’s the price to pay for being located in centre Lisbon.   Manjerica is an adorable little breakfast spot. Service was good. However, I would suggest not getting the avocado toast. It wasn’t fresh, in fact it felt processed. This was definitely an ordering mistake on my part because we’re so far from prime avocado growing areas. Eggs were poached perfectly though.   We went there because everyone recommend the restaurant as one of the best vegan places in Lisbon but sadly we were a bit disappointed. The food tasted quite flat and the portions were very small. To our surprise, the burger came without a bun and therefore wasn't very filling.   Nice interior which makes the place popular. But no air conditioner, just the fans, so it's quite hot at a hot day. Also pretty noisy so not the best place to work. The personal is pretty slow and inattentive, had to come up to them myself to order and remind them to bring me my check twice. There were also problems with electricity so the internet connection was unstable. So the place is good for lunch with friends, but not for working from there.   I usually don’t give 5 stars based on a single visit, but when it is just that good of an experience - I have to! The staff was the sweetest ever, very helpful when we had questions, the food was top notch quality, you could feel the ingredients were fresh. We had a late lunch so it wasn’t very busy and therefore got served super quickly! And a big shoutout to their desserts - I don’t really like sweet things generally speaking, but their desserts are WORTH it, and you’re missing out if you’re not getting one! I fell in love with this place, we went twice with my friends during our trip to lisbon.   I stumbled across this vegan/veggie restaurant by accident and absolutely fell in love! 🤍 Stylish interior, cute notes in the bathroom. An amazing service on eye level, a little chatty and reading my mind (actually happened twice)! Hope the courteous service is kept in the future. I ordered a hamburger with salat and chips aaand it was delicious! It’s also a nice place to stay, rest and reload. Could even imagine me going there to read a book or do some work.   Wonderful place with incredibly delicious and creative vegan food. We went for brunch twice while in Lissabon because we wanted to try as much as possible from their menu. Their pumkin pancake and home made peanut butter cream is nothing like I've every tasted before and their tofu avocado wrap and tofu scramble had the most amazing flavours. Also visually they prepare the food with a lot of detail and appeal. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.10/10 would recommend!! Should have been stuffed with mushrooms and spinach, but due to sheer amount of spinach, there was no place for other fillings or flavors, making it a very bland and not satisfying dish.   We went there for breakfast right when it opened, so it was no problem to get a table (but it was filling pretty fast). We had a lot of luggage because we were on the way to the airport but it was no problem and the staff was really nice about it and in general. We took the brunch menu and you get really a lot for 16 euros/person (we had pancakes with topping, yogurt with granola, avocado toast, coffee and a lemonade and we were rolling out of the cafe, it was more than enough 😅). Lot of vegan/vegetarian offers. The normal pancakes were very fluffy and the homemade peanut butter was really good. The toast of the avocado toast could have been more toastet but that's nagging on a very high level.   It's a great place. Friendly staff and the food we ordered was pretty good. With one exception though. We received some mini pancakes that were so bad, that it really confused me, considering the rest of the experience was very decent. The pancakes were cold, dry and not fluffy, just like the frozen ones you can buy in a supermarket, only worse. Like they were stored in a fridge for a few days until they were really dry. I really wish I could say that these weren't the worst pancakes I ever had, but they were. It was so confusing because the food was arranged nicely, the service was so friendly and everything else was so nice that I couldn't bear telling the staff that these pancakes were so incredibly bad. I wish I could point my finger on the point where it went wrong. All the other food was prepared fresh, so I don't think they'd serve frozen pancakes from industrial production, but then again why were they cold as if they just came out of a fridge?
