  Food was decent and at a reasonable price. Good gluten-free options, though they charged a supplementary fee for this. Unfortunately, our experience was hampered by very poor service from our waiter. From the moment we sat down he was rude and made us feel unwanted at the restaurant, and this only got worse throughout the evening.   Really enjoyed it! the place is well designed , great atmosphere the service is excellent!!   Good food. We were at the point of just getting hungry, and we stopped at the La Trattoria just before people in the group were ready to become cannibalistic. We had a couple of pizzas, some pasta, and the beef steak, all shared among 4 adults, 2 children, and a teenager. The meal was helped by some beer (and lemonade for the kids), and of course the mandatory coffee.   I was SO excited to try this place because of their extensive gluten free menu, it was a rainy night in Lisbon and when we walked in I immediately smelled this really strong smell like smoke and incense. We were seated and our waiter would not let us just order an appetizer to start but insisted that we order our whole meal at that time. I tried to order several sides to try more of the gluten free options but was told I could only order sides with the purchase of a main course. In the end we had to leave because I have severe asthma, and when I brought up the strong smell of smoke, the waiter told me it wasn’t that bad and that they were venting the pizza oven inside because of the rain. Completely insane. I assure you, it was horrible. Biggest disappointment of our time in Lisbon. Super rude service and it really felt like we were not welcome there from moment one.   Great dining experience. Food was good for price but wasn’t great, the ragu was nice but wasn’t amazing, the bruschetta was ok however the aubergine parm was perfect.   One of the best restaurants we’ve tried in Lisbon, we had a reservation in another restaurant and when we reached them they’re closing the kitchen so we walked to this one and they were very welcoming and friendly and prepared us a table at 10:30 pm which was too late but they were really friendly and the food is amazing the pasta especially was mouthwatering. Highly recommend this one and definitely pinning this for my friends to come to.   From the outside it looks unassuming but the food was fabulous. The Melanzane was incredible, the pastas were delicious and the steak was matured and beautifully cooked. Truffle dishes were beautifully seasoned and the deserts were a good finisher. Passionfruit cocktail was a great starter. And our daughter who is GF was in heaven. Pizza was delicious with the GF dough (although cooked in the same oven as the glutinous ones) and the gluten free pasta was not recognisable as GF. Thoroughly recommend. However, we regret to note that our interaction with the manager (Guillermo), who bore a resemblance to the renowned artist Salvador Dali, left much to be desired. The manager's demeanor came across as pretentious and unfriendly, and his constant circumambulation around the seating area was rather distracting.   We went to eat at the restaurant today after thoroughly enjoying our meals ordered from them via uber eats a few days ago. The food is fantastic, great flavours, thoughtful menu and the best quality. We tried the burrata, the poppyseed salmon pasta, the rigatoni and the mushroom risotto. All were excellent.   That was my third time at this restaurant while in Lisbon. The atmosphere and service are great, also the location is very convenient. The first 2 visits were last year and the food was absolutely stunning. I had the ragu pasta and my family had the prawn pasta which they loved so much that they wanted to go back again this year. Unfortunately they changed the recipe and the prawn pasta doesn't have the whole prawns anymore, the pasta was a bit overcooked and quite dry.   The food itself was really pretty good. We were quite a large group, and the waiting staff understandably seemed to struggle with that. However, despite making a paper plan of the table and assigning the orders to the correct positions, there was still a lot of confusion about who ordered which plate, with the final count of dishes diverging from our order. I have also never had my cutlery exchanged so many times prior to eating, once again linked to confusion about what I'd ordered, and the staff trying to match the cutlery accordingly. The restaurant was also uncomfortably warm and stuffy. Still worth a visit for the good food, and being able to watch the staff through a glass wall into the kitchen was a nice touch.   I’ve been eating gluten free for approximately 10 years. I have assessed the landscape of what is possible from a dining experience. I was sorely disappointed that the gluten free bread offered was nothing more than toasted and sliced white bread. I’ve had delicious gluten free focaccia bread before at other restaurants. Why this restaurant doesn’t offer it, I don’t know. For lunch we had the carbonara and the scallops risotto. Carbonara was good. Scallops risotto really left us wanting. It wasn’t great. I’d say if you’ve eaten gluten free before at other Italian restaurants, there is nothing offered here that should make it a special trip on your vacation like I did.   Amazing experience from start to finish. We easily booked a table two days before our visit to the restaurant and had to modify the time twice with no issues. The menu is extremely celiac and vegetarian friendly with incredible options for both.   For starters, I am Italian and love food. If you want to eat Italian delicacies, go somewhere else. Let´s break it down: 1. Antipasto: focaccia was not even remotely related to a focaccia. A few bits of dry bread for €3.5... 2. Starter: the parmigiana was a stack of fried aubergines with stracciatella cheese. You had to search for the single dried tomato in there. It simply wasn´t a parmigiana. To be fair, this was the tastiest dish I had. 3. Main: the pumpkin risotto was an insult to Italy. I didn´t know you could screw up a risotto this badly. Completely overcooked, tasteless, loveless. 4. Dessert: a panna cotta with the consistency of US jello. Overall, quite disappointed with it. And this is just the food.   As an Italian I have to admit I was disappointed. Even though the restaurant and service were good, the food was very disappointing. I didn't eat anything Italian. The risotto with capesante was made with the wrong rice, it was loaded with cheese and therefore heavy, the capesante were frozen and there was an unexplainable garlic paste. I couldn't eat that. The steak was ok (not particularly Italian however) and came with a side of pasta which is totally away from Italian cuisine. This pasta side was meant to be linguine, but it was spaghetti, so again, disappointing. Finally, the basil Panna cotta could have been an appetizer but not dessert, I tasted it with my eyes closed and it was exactly like eating pasta with pesto. I really hope the menu gets revised because this place has great potential, my stars go to the service and sommelier, pleasant presence accompanying the dinner.   Let's start from the positive aspects. The location was excellent, it wasn't far from Marque Pombal, the interior design was absolutely stunning. It was absolutely a DISASTER, the chef wasn't from Italy and he spread garlic all over the pizza, it was awful! The Italian wine was absolutely over overpriced!   As it was recognised by the Portuguese Coeliac Society I was reassured that the restaurant staff would be able to manage my request for GF beer. Which was managed on our first visit, but the waiter on our second and final visit presented a non GF beer. Staff training and understanding of allergies requires addressing.   Kinda of upscale but not really, food is good but not amazing, prices are a bit on the high side but without much justification for it. But I think it’s intended for an older, cigar smoking, whisky glass in hand, expensive wine during the meal crowd, so I might be missing the point.   Our main courses were a bit too salty, but other than that, the experience was excellent. I HIGHLY recommend the blueberry basil dessert. It is the best dessert I have ever had. They closed at 11 PM and my girlfriend and I did not make it there until 10:40. It was a Sunday night so not much was open. They allowed us to dine there without pressuring us for time. The staff's knowledge of their wines and cheeses was top class, and the house cocktail (I forget the name but it was gin and egg white based) was original and really well balanced.   We booked for the time the restaurant opened. On sitting, we found the place very cold and draughty. When asked he did turn the heating up but there was no difference. When the food arrived, the pasta and my tagliatelle was cold and sent back. By this time the rest of the food was cold. Would not recommend this place for the price we paid.
