I ended up eating the rest o my friend’s shrimp rice, which she didn’t fully eat because it was tasteless and its shrimp overcooked. We figured we’d give it a try having good luck everywhere else in Portugal and because it had good reviews. The service was really fast - our salad came out and then 5 minutes later our main courses came out. The monkfish rice was really good but the grilled octopus was tough (we had much better elsewhere). This was the only place on our whole trip where the bread was stale, and we had to actually order it - which was not normal everywhere else. They spoke superb English and couldn't have been more eager to assist. I had the sardine appetizer which was really fantastic. My issue was with the main course which was too salty. I ordered a pork and clam dish hoping to have something truly typical of Portugal. It was so salty I really couldn't enjoy it. My waiter couldn't have been more apologetic and offered me free desert. Be warned the tables outside are very, very close together. I for half my meal I sat next to an incredibly annoying couple. Good luck to the guy that was with that girl!
