  We were out for a walk and came across Tagide at lunch. We were seated at a lovely table with an amazing view. The decor and ambiance was warm and welcoming. We ordered a glass of wine and were offered a selection from the bread plate. We started with a tomato soup that was divine. And a vegetarian dish that was eaten and gone. Our choice for dessert was a sweet dish and a fruit salad. The food was excellent. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.   The view was very nice however me and the rest of my party were disappointed with everything else. The service was ok but it seemed like our server did not know what was going on or know the menu very well. The drinks were ok but I am almost positive they did not put any alcohol in my 13€ cocktail ( I double checked with the staff and got brushed off). The food was so small and honestly distasteful. Cold, overcooked meat with a terrible aftertaste and dry tasteless potatoes. The bread stater was two pieces of garbage bread and extremely overpriced. We did tell the staff that we didn’t overly enjoy the food and were brushed off once again. Would not recommend! Save your money and go somewhere else.   Great views, brownie was baked perfectly. Main fish dish was terrible - zero flavor other than an outright violent amount of salt.   Beautiful restaurant with lovely views. It was the week of Christmas and to see the all the city lights and decorations made it even more special. We opted for the tasting menu and the bursts of flavor were so present in all the dishes. Loved every course. Really nice Olive oil served with rustic breads.   The service, the food and the vine pairing were great. The kitchen was top level and we enjoyed the evening here. Even our request for a vegetarian menu was fulfilled and it tasted great according to my spouse. Sure, the prices are according to the quality, but worth every cent.   The view is simply great - we had lunch but I assume it’s even more spectacular while dining in the evening. Food on the other hand is not as great. Everything was quite good - except the rice served with fish and creme brûlée (I love this dessert and order it as often as I can but here it had strange color, was way too sweet and the sugar was too thick).   Started badly, ended worse; in between there was some great food. But this restaurant has an attitude problem. We arrived on time but were then kept waiting outside in the street for 10 mins, door locked. We were then kept waiting again once inside. After being seated, it was 20 mins before we had drinks. From there, the service was quick, too quick (we found out why later). The food was excellent, although I've had better, and the wine equally good. What spoilt the evening was the arrival of a HUGE, noisy party towards the end of the meal, (which probably explains the quick service). Totally ruined a nice evening out. Note to manager: 1. You really need to think about how you greet your customers, I don't like being left outside in the rain waiting for your staff to open the door. 2. Avise seus clientes se a noite aconchegante deles for arruinada porque você reservou uma festa grande e barulhenta.

  Incredibly slow and inconsistent service, missing major parts of the orders forgetting to serve/attend to guests at the table. Not possible to order tasting menue and a la carte together. Dishes are mainly bland and unimpressive. Lacked expertise on their menue and drink pairing. Failed to produce drinks listed on their menue due to lack of ingredients. Overall recommendation is that you're better off going to another location as Lisabon offers far better Restaurants than this, and it's a matter of time before it loses it's michelin star rating.   View and service was great, however the food was some of the worst I have had. My partner could not finish his food due to the high amount of squid ink and undercooked fish. The starter was a luke warm scallop dish with an off texture and lack of flavour. I had veal cheek which was ok, but the rest of the food tasted like the chef had not tasted it himself.   This was my worst dining experience in Lisbon. Truly awful service and food. The venue is actually quite upscale and has a nice setting with a view of the river. The menu had a total of SIX items between the choices of entrees and appetizers. So for a family of 5 we ordered the whole menu and some items twice. To begin the bread service came with 2 flavors of Butter that was FROZEN SOLID. The appetizers were tiny and seasoned in a very odd way - as if someone randomly combined ingredients to see if they work. You would think that it's difficult to screw up raw scallops. The entrees were two fish courses and two meat courses. The meat was dry and way too salty (I love salt and savory foods in general) and the fish was floating in some dark goo that the waiter kept calling "soup". Our reservation was for 8pm and our entrees did not show up until roughly 9:20pm. I asked the staff to check on the food a couple of times and in response they nodded but obviously did nothing as I saw them move around the dining room. The restaurant clearly tries to present an upscale experience but it was highly mediocre food with poor service. There is a 1-Michelin star restaurant next door - most likely a better bet. Nossa reserva era para 20h e nossas entradas só apareceram por volta das 21h20. Pedi algumas vezes à equipe para verificar a comida e, em resposta, eles assentiram, mas obviamente não fizeram nada quando os vi se movimentando pela sala de jantar. O restaurante claramente tenta apresentar uma experiência sofisticada, mas era comida altamente medíocre com serviço ruim. Há um restaurante com 1 estrela Michelin ao lado - provavelmente uma aposta melhor.

  Usually, I'm not the kind of person to post bad reviews. But this especially angered me quite a bit. We never even made it to the restaurant. We booked a table a whole month in advance. And no more than a week beforehand Tagide cancelled our reservation because they needed the whole dining area that evening. They did offer numerous things in return, to help us book a table in another restaurant, a table at their bar, or to come dine with them on another date. All very reasonable options, I must admit. But out of principle I refuse these options. We really looked forward to this. This whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. Very disappointing and we're left feeling shoved aside...   We have only been at Tagide for lunch several times and always selected the lunch special. The reception and the service has mostly been friendly and professional. However, I think that the set menu for lunch (and maybe the main menu) should be less repetitive. It seems that Tagide keeps the same menu for a very long time, which isn't quite what I (!) would expect of an excellent or Michelin recommended restaurant. The location and the view from the "balcony" tables is really good, but especially since my last visit on 23/04 I am not so convinced anymore. The staff is rude and untrained, as is the upper management team of Suzana Barros (CEO), who did not care about the bad service we had received when we tried to bring it up to them.   Very disappointing, save your money if you can. We booked a table here based on the Michelin guide, however the service is unfriendly and the food is mediocre. We arrived at the downstairs tapas bar and were not informed that our reservation was actually upstairs in the main restaurant so accidentally spent half our meal at the restaurant we had not reserved for, something management could have easily avoided if they had cared. They later switched us to the correct restaurant and offered us a free cocktail and dessert which they then added to the bill and refused to take off when asked. Oysters were drenched in dressing so we could hardly taste them. Overall this was a very disappointing experience, and I would spend my time and money at establishments where good food and friendly service are included.   Very weird experience. We tried the tasting menu, which ended up being same ingredients cut and mixed in different ways to make 7 unimpressive and unnecessarily foamy dishes. By that I mean there was foam *everywhere*. The plate with seaweed, topped with sea water, was particularly challenging to finish…all of this comes with a heavy check. The restaurant is located on a hill and it has big windows. It has a nice view, I guess, but at night you can’t really see anything, it’s not very lit outide and inside it's so bright...dim it down if you want people to enjoy the view at night!?!   Would not recommend this restaurant. The food specifically the beef cheeks were super salty. When we asked about it they claimed it was a new item on the menu and they would alter it for later that evening. I drank about 3 glasses due to the excess amount of salt and really couldn’t finish it. They charge you 10 euros for bread-never been to fine dining where they charge you for bread-this is without even informing you. We went during lunch and service was ok. The waiter serving us wasn’t very knowledgeable on what to suggest and didn’t give detailed definitions of the different flavors. Generally a poor, over priced over hyped experience.   After going there every time in Lisbon --- every other year --- this time was a great disappointment. Menu was very limited and not diverse (e.g. only 2 starters, both fish, of which one was raw shellfish); wine list was also very limited and we were provided inaccurate info, that Batuta was only produced every 4 years in the best harvests. Both water and wine were not at the table and had to be served, but waitstaff wasn't attentive to empty glasses, chit-chatting away in another room. I gave the rating one star, because 0 stars was unavailable. It seems that management blames everything conveniently on Covid, rather than taking responsibility for its lack of adequate supervision. Either staff attitudes need modification, or staff needs to be employed elsewhere.   Best food experience in Lisbon if you're willing to spend a little more than average. We did the food tasting which was a four course meal, and the wine tasting that compliments it for about ~ 100 Euros each and it was absolutely worth it. Pretty easy to see why it is on the Michelin list. The waiters were some of the nicest and knowledgeable I've had. Everything from the butter to the Iberian steak to having a small seat offered for our bag/purse and the plating and cutlery were all perfect. The view over the square and the ministry buildings was just spectacular. As for the food, I was not the biggest fan of the first starter (fish cake with macha tea pallet cleanser?) but after that it just got better and better. We tried to book a table with a good view at a awkward time, the owner of the restaurant told us he would do his best. When we arrived, he had managed to give us a good table. Just 5 minutes into a nice evening he came to our table to tell us he had a cancellation and to ask us if we would like to change to the best table in the restaurant. We where so grateful and excited for the dedication he and his staff possessed. We ordered the cauliflower tasting menu with wine pairing, let me tell you that those people know what they are doing. I am a chef myself and i have seen my fair share of quality restaurants. But you could taste the effort and craftsmanship in the dishes. Everything made sense but was still challenging us to think and talk about what we where eating. The whine pairings where brilliant and well balanced, definitely our money's worth. The dishes that blew me out of the water was the dessert, just like the rest of the courses it was made with cauliflower as it's main component. A mille-feuille masterpiece with a cauliflower cream and salted caramel with miso. This dish was so well balanced and tasteful.   An excellent restaurant that we stumbled across on our way back to our hotel from Baxia-Chiado. As it was midweek there was no need to book so we returned that evening. The food and service were excellent. We shared four different Tapas between the two of us and it was ample. The waiter was very knowledgeable both with the food and wine.   Despite a mix up as to whether we had booked the Tagine Restaurant or the Tagine Tapas bar this was a very good experience and they did a good job of fitting us into a busy Monday in the restaurant. Perfect service and wonderful views coupled with some extraordinary food. Suggest the Tagine tasting menu which is worth every penny you pay. Highly recommended and would go again.   Such a lovely view of Lisbon. The windows where open and the sounds of the city could be heard in the distance. The weather was perfect and you could see the ships in the sailing past. The food was tremendous too. Really tasty and really interesting food. It was well worth the walk up the hill to get there. Honestly anywhere you go in Lisbon means your going up hill.   I bought the Tagide tasting menu (around 250 Euros/2 person) Restaurant, Service and Food are good, however not really worth the price, there are several cheaper and better alternatives in Lisbon. I bought a voucher for my parents. After receiving the voucher I realised that the voucher expires in only 6 months, this practise is after my knowledge illegal in the most countries of Europe, but I assumed that this might be okay, due to the changing menu and therefore the flexible prices. However, when redeeming the voucher the price suddenly was 16 Euros higher than originally planned. Therefore the voucher changes its price and has an expiry date. Interesting. In the end, I can recommend any tourist not to visit this place, since Portuguese people avoid this restaurant, after my knowledge anyway.   We were very disapointed with their attitude towards guests. We came here to pair a good vine with algedly Best Lisboa petiscos food. The food was average. We ordered a special bottle of vintage 2014 douro from vine list and they opened us a 2015 one. When we asked for the manneger she did not even try to apologise about the mistake made. She even claimed that this was the same vine. And yes... you have another options as well.. vine serving machine...almost like Coca-cola machine except it spits vine allover when bottle gets empty and than you have to beg waiter to top up the glass they have just charged you for on card.   Wow ... what a find! We stumbled upon this Wine and Tapas place on a Saturday afternoon not too far from the nearby Time Out Market which was way too over crowded for lunch. Fred and Rodrigo gave us terrific service and the food and wines achieved near perfection. A welcome relief from the busy noisy market. Nice room, relaxing ambience, and great views out to the ocean.   New Year Dinner was 195 € + wine pairing 34 €. Food was very god, tasty, innovative but quality on plates were rather non-standardized (as you observed what fellow guest had on their plates). I even missed yuzu sorbet from my dessert plate and my spuse had to request for it! The waiter couldn’t understand what was wrong with my plate. Together with foie gras no wine was served, only when I asked whether there should have been wine, we got it AFTERWARDS! Water was not filled, not without asking for it. Perhaps it was, because we were two males having dinner together, I don’t know. Everybody else around seemed to receive their glasses filled. Our water bottles were emptied by guest in the next table... You couldn’t make a reservation unless you sent a banktransfer for 50 % of the dinner first. But after 55 minutes of waiting for the check this prepayment was not withdrawn from your bill. Eventually the restaurant Tagide owner had decided that the unfortunate staff had to try to do a successfull profit from the evening The dining room was UNDERSTAFFED - -definitely, as the dining room was fully occupied. All the guest seemed to have troubles with their dinner or checks. VERY unfortunate that the owner did not show up - she most certainly thought she could sip hee champagne rlsewhere and leave her staff in trouble. Which was the case!   The more I see my photographs of food I ate in Lisbon, the more I realize how much I enjoyed eating at their restaurants. Tagide Wine and Tapas Bar, the casual counterpart of the more formal Tagide restaurant, has a great comfortable atmosphere. The waiters were friendly, much like all of the Portuguese people, and the food was delicious. I loved the goblet-like cup and the hammered metal bowl. As a dessert option on the menu, they had their special take on a famous traditional Portuguese pastry. Their pastel de nata was served warm and instead of cinnamon just being a topping with powdered sugar, they added a scoop of cinnamon ice cream on the side to further reinforce the taste of the cinnamon. An additional interesting element they had was the wine dispenser. You are provided with a card on which your wine selections and quantity are recorded. If I ever visit Lisboa again, based on my experience with the wine and tapas bar, I would like to try the Tagide restaurant this time.   We had been looking for a place to organize our wedding dinner in Lisbon and we came across with Tagide. It was a great decision. The welcome cocktail served on the closed balcony with view of the city opened the ceremony. The food was served professionally and was very good. The highlight for us goes for the service. Waiters and event manager were both extremely helpful, nice and made the experience smooth and relaxed. They accommodated to our requests and made it a perfect dinner! If you are looking for a place for a special event, I would definitely recommend Tagide.   Medioka on every left. Average service, poor quality of food. We had a six course tasting menu. Course one was an acceptably good soup. Course two was a classic chef's mass-catering cheat: essentially cold meat on toast. Obviously plated up an hour or more before in a batch of twenty, the toast was soggy. Unacceptable. Otherwise the dish was bland and disappointing. Course three was an enjoyable snapper dish, well cooked, but heavy. Course four was incredibly bland suckling pig, quite frankly tasting of nothing, under seasoned and in dire need of a well prepared jus. Five was 'apple foam' - waste of time and with a severe flavour deficit. Six was a tiny square of some sort of warm sweet pie, with ice cream. My wife had stated when she ordered that she did not like ice cream. So they left it off. So she had one square inch of this pie, sitting sadly all alone on the plate. The matched wines were drinkable cheap local varieties, but a rip off in cost. I am astonished this place is in the Michelin guide. Maybe the owner changed?   Possibly the biggest waste of time I've ever endured. I saw that this place had a fair few good reviews and one really bad one. How it has such a good rating I have no idea because everything was terrible. DO NOT GO HERE. I'll be pleased if I can save just one person from going to this god foresaken place. -if you're with less than 5 people you won't get a table with a view -the food isn't worth the price - I'm surprised the staff are able to dress themselves in the morning considering their inability to do anything... Anything at all. - once staff mustered the mental capacity to provide service they forgot our order. Leaving us waiting for 45 minutes to receive nothing. I could go on. But the reason I discarded the other bad review is because it was too long and I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thing.... I wish I had listened.   Overpriced bland food. We had the tasting menu for €45 and wine package for an additional €18. Not bad, just not nearly good enough to motivate the prices.
