  For any Persian food even if every item is badly made. One item stands out and that's is RICE. This restaurant doesn't use the traditional basmati rice, I couldn't say anything good about it.   Food is ok type nothing special but ok . if you think about price then it’s much expensive compared quality/quantity .   We were looking for a Persian restaurant in Lisbon and found three but decided to go to this one. It was a bit out of the Lisbon city centre but once we got there we realised the food and the service were excellent. The husband and wife owners run this business and they really are pationate about their food. The opening hours are a bit unusual but we must see this from the Portuguese point of view which might be different to what we might be used to. The décor could improve but the food or service compensates for the outdated look of the restaurant. Overall we were quite happy with the food and the service was spot on.   Our reservation was at 9:30 pm, most of the food was sold out! No salad, no kebab! The service was very slow. The food was less than average. The staff was very very rude especially the lady who’s taking orders. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Ps: the restaurant and the staff are not kids friendly. In reply to the owner: It’s not an excuse to say that you finish all food by 10 pm. Especially when we reserved a table a day earlier for a 9:30 dinner! If you don’t have food to serve at that time on weekends then don’t accept reservations. It’s funny how you talk about etiquette and rules when you have no manners at all, first for complaining about a 1 year old baby and second for telling a mother how to raise her children. I hope you are not a mother. I would feel very sorry for your children to have you as a mother. My husband behavior was a reaction to your rude actions. He was talking to you politely while you were not. You should know that when you respect people they will respect you back. An old woman your age you should know that already but I hope this is a lesson for you. Since you gave my review such time and effort. I advice you to read all the bad comments on your restaurant and admit that are most comments are about you personally, that’s a sign that people like you should not run restaurants.   Some dishes were really tasty, but on one the meat was supposed to be juicy and tender and it was super dry and had small bone pieces. This would mean 3-4 stars, but the service was really bad. Service was slow, we had to ask multiple times for the drinks or ice, and the gap between starters and main dish was over 30 mins.   The food was okay, the yogurt had cinnamon in it!?!?! We were in group of friends from different parts of Iran, none of us liked the taste. The one with mosir had garlic powder in it instead of mosir… all in all not sure why it is ranked so high, I ate at different Iranian restaurants around Europe and this was just average compared to them.   This was our third time here and it was VERY disappointing. All four dishes were missing the complexity of flavors we had previously experienced. Frozen fries on an Iranian dish. Supermarket wrap instead of authentic bread. Extremely small servings (3 small cubes of meat per main dish) with a pile of rice. Come on! We don't mind paying for quality, but today we felt cheated.   Went there out of curiosity, since I like to try foreign cousins and never tried Persian nor even heard of any restaurant of its kind in Portugal. To be honest I was a little bit disappointed with the overall decoration but specially the outside area, it could be something amazing yet was a soulless and half baked. The food was ok, but I was expecting better (don’t know how good Persian is suppose to taste like). Tried also the falafels for a starter and that was very good. But in the end I found the whole thing overpriced for what I took out of it. 20€ each with a beer and the big dish of kebabs shared for 2, no deserts just the falafel for starter and coffee in the end. Note, I was not hungry in the end. Might consider going back to give it another try on the other dishes.   We showed up without a reservation, which turned out to be necessary, however the owner made room for us and welcomed us very warmly. The restaurant is full of cultural decor which we loved! We started out with tea, dough (yogurt drink) and this was presented with saffron rock sugar. This was a sign that everything we would order had a little extra special thing. We ordered Mirza ghasemi (eggplant, tomato and egg appetizer) and it came with homemade tandoori bread. The meat and chicken options were incredible and they also had vegetarian green bean rice, stewed in tomato sauce. The flavors of all dishes melted in your mouth! The koobideh skewers were very juicy and flavorful. The chengeh was very good. The hostess brought a small platter of falafel on the house, which we enjoyed with olives. And don’t forget the saffron and pistachio ice cream! This was such a nice restaurant that became full very quickly. Everyone was greeted like a friend. Family style at its best! As soon as we entered the restaurant after traveling for 20 mins we were told that they don’t allow dining in without reservations. We then requested for a take out and we were told that they are not doing take out today. While we were searching for another restaurant for dinner outside this Iranian restaurant we saw two groups stepping out with takeout 😶 Feedback: If you need mandatory reservations OR are not doing take out on a particular day please update your google page. Extremely bad customer experience. — Reply to the restauranteur’s below comment- I visited your restaurant at 7pm in the evening on Wed, Dec 7th and had a face to face conversation with you about dining in and take out as stated in detail earlier. It was raining heavily in the evening yesterday so please don’t lecture me that I don’t have a right to leave a comment based on my experience in your restaurant. About calling earlier- your restaurant opened for business at 7pm - what time do you expect people to call and confirm your availability?   We went here for our wedding anniversary as my wife and I equally love authentic Persian cuisine. We found this place online there no reservations needed but we still did reserve our table. The restaurant is a little bit rundown so it wasn’t very inviting (to be honest) and the patio was even more rundown 🤦🏽‍♂️. The food was mediocre to be fair, but we were so happy to find Persian withstood we just laughed at all the downfalls and still had a good time. But, we both did agree that we would not return or recommend it to friends.   Excellent food and service!!! We had Kebab and Safran ice cream. Both were home made, the meat was juicy and very well grilled. The ice cream was rich in Safran and rose water and definitely one of the best I had. Last but not least the service was outstanding.   Place was the worst place I've visited in Lisbon. Felt like we were eating in a community hall in the UK. Really could do with a better decor. Tables were horrid. Service was terrible. Other people were served before us, opted for the mixed kebab option. Low behold the meat was undercooked and pink. Definitely stay away. Even though its halal.   This is truly a hidden gem in terms of Persian food. Location & personnel: looks can be very deceiving. From the outside it does not look like a fancy place and the interior will get you fooled. But the ambiance is very nice. You get a warm feeling from the waiter and chefs. I read in comments that the waiters could not speak English but the waiter spoke English, Farsi, Turkish and Portugese. I got a very family like feeling. Food: We ordered some starters and as main dish the kubideh and the bag hali polo Ba Mahicheh. As dessert we had Persian tea and bastani sonati. The food is exceptional. Again, looks can be deceiving because the meat and rice were very well flavored. The meat was very malse and together with the juice and some sours it is amazing. I recommend to order dough to go with the main course. The dessert was very good with richness in pistache and since we drink a lot of tea, we ordered it with the teapot. The hospitality and the cute plates that accompany the dishes made sure that we really want to go again. See the pictures for the food.   Very fine Persian food, all of the grilled kebab skewers tasted great, high quality. The Kebab Mix has Koobideh (ground lamb), Chendje (lamb sirloin) and Jooje (saffron chicken pieces) skewers, ideal for trying everything. The appetizers were also very great, the yoghurt tasted very good, my German colleague enjoyed the Mirza Ghassemi a lot. Very friendly owner, nice and simple ambience.   Lovely surprise, we have checked the place online before going, when we got there the entrance which is shared with a gym wasn't very appealing, but no regrets, the interior is quite pleasant, not fancy but cozy. The service is great and welcoming. But the real star is the food, simple in appearance but surprisingly complex, saffron, cardamon an unforgettable experience. I usually don't take price in consideration, but in this case worth mentioning that is surprisingly inexpensive. PS: Try the baklava and saffron drink.   We stopped by for lunch. The service was great and the food was served quickly. The kobeedeh kabob was excellent, very flavorful with good aroma. The chicken kabob was tender and cooked perfectly.   It was my first time in an Iranian restaurant in Portugal but it was a great time, very nice personnel, traditional decoration and the food which is exactly the same taste in Iran. We tried 3 dishes : Sabzi Polo Mahiche, Zereshk Polo and Mirzaghasemi with almost all the appetizers (except felafel), excellent quality, big portions and correct price. The Doogh (drink) was top quality I will come back again the next time. The food options are nit that many and portions are relatively small comparing to Iranian cousin; not recommended at all. I would rather to have a Portugese food!   The ambient was great and the staff was very nice. The food wasn't amazing. It was my first try at Iranian food and I just felt it was unsavoury and had a taste of oil. The entries that were savory but were just a bit off. I don't know if it was my pallete, but it wasn't for me. I would give it more stars if the price was lower, it just didn't match the quality. Best to go with small groups instead of big groups, the food took a while to get to the table, before we were served, smaller groups had food served and left.   The mixed kebab was good. The falafel (starter) was nice, could do with larger chutney portions. The Mirza Ghasemi was absolutely disgusting and tasted like smoke. The tokhm sharbati tasted like tap water with a ton of chemicals inside, wouldn't recommend. Interior is nice and staff is friendly. Took about 25 minutes for food to arrive. Won't be returning.   Incredible food and such friendly service. We had the Zereshk Polo, Mirza Ghasemi, Joohge, Bakhtiyari, and Naan (a must!). The quality and quantity of food is unparalleled, even the presentation is lovely. Visiting from out of town, we were craving some Persian food and were really pleasantly surprised by the excellent food, prices, and service. Having been to Iranian restaurants around the world, Lisbon was an unexpected place to have some of the best.   Wow, the food was better than I expected. The lamb was juicy and tender. The chicken kebab was very tasty even if it is breast part. The falafel was cooked just right for my taste.   So we found this restaurant through Google maps because we were interested in a different food type, the Iranian caught our attention. The starters were good sized, delicious and good value. Main course we had the mixed kebab and the joojeh kebab, mixed kebab was really good came with huge portion of rice and 3 types of meat, I would really recomend it for people that can not choose.The joojeh kebab was also really nice the chicken was moist and tender, came also with a good sized portion of rice. As dessert we had the bastani sonati ice cream that was highly recommend and we can confirm that. The ice cream was something to die for! For drinks we had a white sangria, was quite good but not their speciality. Staff was really friendly! But meanwhile foreigners seems to enjoy it a lot and its a good introduction to Iranian cuisine. the staff are polite and helpful , And restaurant is nicely decorated.
