The men's toilet could be a bit better though, like having a working lock and feeling a bit fresher. Even though I really liked the food, it wasn't the best Indian I have ever tried, therefore my rating. But it's still really good, so I recommend you try it out.   I stumbled across Nepal Curry House with 2 other friends on holiday in Lisbon. Initially enticed by the quaint, homely facade of the establishment and attractive dish pictures on both its window and Google reviews, we settled for the chilli momos, which were sensational (but beware of the spice!). The very welcoming and chirpy staff also added to the wonderful experience, so much so that we came back twice after the first time! Having tried mouthwatering Tibetan momos and crispy, crunchy onion bhajis the first time, aromatic and complex Indian chicken Madurai on the second and the mighty regal Nepalese chicken Thali set on the third, I can strongly confirm that Nepal Curry House is simply an amazing place.   I went there with my brother pascal as he mentioned he used to visit there some years back & food was amazing.The price was too high for what was served .They didn't even serve hot ghee ,Pickle was cheap mango pickle from store,rice taste like it wasn't fresh maybe was from yesterday,chicken curry didn't taste that good (Too much turmeric powder).We waited for like 45 minutes & Young waitress wasn't friendly at all.There are many nepalese restaurant nearby with better food quality & services with good prices nearby.   My girlfriend and I went to eat here for a late lunch. After a long tourist heavy morning, we were exhausted and starved. We stumbled upon this sweet nepalese restaurant with wholesome families sat outside enjoying the shade. We went inside and ordered a spinach chicken curry and the chilli chicken momo's. They were delicious. Our waitress was lovely, the food tasted freshly made and the momo's were especially outstanding (we were very glad to have gotten them medium spicy).   Best roasted chilli hot sauce I’ve tasted in a long time! It’s a Nepal chilli. Incredible lunch special 7.50 for salad, rice, a dish, a drink AND a coffee!!   Won’t recommend at all unless you want some Momo. We ordered Momo(veg and chicken), veg Chowmein, Daal Tadka, Mixed vegetables and Naan. 1. Veg momo were nice, the sauce given with them also tasted nice. The chicken momo were bland but tasted well with the sauce. Chowmein had no salt or any other seasoning, it tasted like half cooked vegetables and boiled noodles. 2. Main course tasted like it was cooked by an unskilled amateur, even I can cook better. The portion was too small for even one person. All the dishes come accompanied with rice but it doesn’t say that on the menu. So, we ordered naan too unknowingly. When it came to the table, the food tasted eatable at best and the portions were enough to fill two spoons and maybe a half. The naan was so thick that it tasted like dough. Somehow we finished eating our naans and had to leave the rice because there wasn’t anything to eat it with. The bill was €50 which is utterly outrageous for a poorly cooked food.   We moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and keep coming back to Nepal Curry House. It is a small place but what it lacks in ambiance, is more than makes for with good service and great food. The prices are fair and unlike so many other Nepalese restaurants in the neighborhood (there are at least half a dozen within a 5 minute walk), the pakora, baji, and samosas are always fresh, crispy, and piping hot. The chili mo-mo are a wonderful mixture of spicy sweet and savory. The garlic nan is loaded with enough garlic to slay an army of vampires. And of course, every curry we have tried here has been delicious. If you are near Alemeda park and crave some Indian/Nepalese food, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.   Lovely place with a very cozy interior. For those more used to the way western food tastes I recommend the garlic naan, the vegetable pakora and the onion badji. If you'd like to try something new you should go with the tandoor chicken or with the chicken (or lamb) curry.   I have tested it the first day we've arrived in Lisbon and we had dinner there almost every night during one week. Just because the food is fantastic and the service of Sheesa (I hope it's correct) was simply great! The prices are way below the quality of everything there.. 2.5-3 eur a great chicken soup (our 2.5 y.o. boy loved it), 7-9 eur for a chicken or lamb cooked dish.. I also have to mention the traditional noodle soup (6 eur) which was divine! For a family with kid this place was the best due to the fresh and tasty food that made our stay really nice, for sure we will return for those dishes!   Right away to my favorite's list! I had a couple of hours waiting in the airport before my flight taking off so I felt for trying out a restaurant in town. Right out of the Alameda station (only 20 minutes ride from the airport), "The Nepal Curry House" . This little restaurant located in the heart of the city is friendly and has a great service on top of an excellent food quality. Don't miss it out!   We were looking for a curry house, and upon reading the reviews for this place we thought we'd check it out. We certainly weren't disappointed. The food really was extremely flavoursome, beautifully presented and cooked to however the strength of spiciness we wanted. The service we received was so genuinely warm and friendly, not to mention super efficient. Very cosy little restaurant, about enough space to seat 20 people. But very busy with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant for its value, quality, service and all round genuine friendly atmosphere. One of the most accommodating hosts we have ever encountered.   The food quality and costumer service is quiet good but importantly the waiting time for food is quit longer which they have to consider. They have chowmein, momo Nepali thali set. Worth to try.   Ordered a veg chowmien, chicken bhuna and naan, with a cobra beer Service: Very poor. We didnt get the menus for quite some time. Had to go inside and ask for it. Then after ordering the same thing happened. The food didnt come for 30 mins. And when it did, only the naan was served first. We sent it back otherwise it would have gotten cold. Food: Average. The chowmien was bland. No soy sauce or vinegar or chilli sauce was added. The chicken tasted well but didnt seem fresh as it had a bite to it rather than being soft. Although we had asked for butter naan only plain naan was served, which was soft and fluffly. Also, we were served a bowl of rice which we did not order.   I came to eating at this restaurant after a long 18 day travel across Europe. So I was starving for the taste of Indian cuisine. Hence, please take my review with a little pinch of salt as it may be a little biased. So as I was saying, we were desperately looking out for an Indian restaurant and we came across this place. It was very closed to the place where we were staying. Its a lovely little food joint with only 4-5 tables. They serve authentic Tibetan and Nepali food along with Indian cuisine. We ordered a chicken soup which was a pleasant surprise. Its like the Portuguese Sopa with the Indian flavours. We ordered chicken momos and vegetable pakora. Both were quite nice. Then we ordered Dal tadka and Lamb Rogan Josh. Lamb was amazing. Don't order any rice as they give rice with all dishes. Naans were delicious. Chicken fried rice taste was quite close to home. Only disappointment was the lamb chilli as it was too sweet to my taste. The icing on the cake was the Indian Tea. Be ready with your cash as cards may not be accepted if not local Portuguese cards(Don't know what's that). So my travel card and my International debit card which worked in 20 countries across the world, didn't work here.. Strange. But its a common problem across Portugal except for Lagos. Service is a little slow. But no complaints as it ensures everything freshly made from the scratch. A única decepção foi o chili de cordeiro, pois era muito doce para o meu gosto. A cereja do bolo foi o Chá Indiano. Esteja preparado com o seu dinheiro, pois os cartões podem não ser aceitos se não forem os cartões portugueses locais (não sei o que é isso). Então meu cartão de viagem e meu cartão de débito internacional, que funcionavam em 20 países ao redor do mundo, não funcionavam aqui. Estranho. Mas é um problema comum em Portugal, exceto em Lagos. O serviço é um pouco lento. Mas não há queixas, pois garante tudo feito do zero.

  Was looking forward for some curry and decided to visit this curry house. It took me by surprise, it's a very small place but the food is really good. I ordered Chicken Korma and something else (vegetables) and both dishes had fantastic flavours. The korma sauce was godly! The lady that took my order was very friendly and I got served quite fast. Price/quality is worth the trip. All in all I enjoyed my meal and I can surely say that I recommend this place to anyone that likes this kind of food.
