  Nice servers. Not sure if it’s because we came at night but the seafood wasn’t that fresh for a seafood place. Also the dining room is little too bright and dated.   Yesterday we stopped at the cafe outside to get out of the rain and we had not only a delicious snack of crab dip but we had the best service experience in Lisbon by far from the nicest waiter named Hernani Nunes! This man is a gem! In a city that is over run with tourist and most staff we have experienced are indifferent , he is a stand out in his field!   This is the worst meal ever that I had in Portugal. The food is real bad, we ordered cod and clams. The cod fish is overly cooked, it is dry, tough and extremely salty. I thought I am eating salted fish at some point of time. The broccolini at the side is another joke. Overcooked, softened and turned yellow. You can see how bad the food is by just looking at the picture. I can’t even finished half of it. It is really not edible at all. This is such a disappointment. When I asked for the bill, the waiter came and cleared my table and he didn’t even bother to check with me if the food is OK when he saw the half-untouched dish. Waiter was so not interested and too quick - despite repeating our order several times, my husband had to wait for his main course because the waiter hadn't ordered it thinking we were sharing my order.   We were lucky enough to be seated in a table as customers behind us were told no more tables. We had Crab stuffing, Garlic Shrimp, and Filet Mignon with their sauce. Crab stuffing is mixed with eggs but it was good. Garlic Shrimp was salty, definitely eat with bread. Steak came out 30 min after the previous dishes, when it arrived it was luke warm. Restaurant was packed and server was busy running around. Still wish it was a hot plate. Overall, maybe come during non rush hour..   I went there for a business dinner with a few colleagues on a Sunday night. This place is very popular and only accepts reservations until 8pm, after that, you're on your own and will have to make do with the capacity at the time of your arrival. We had organized to dine at 9pm and I got there 1/2hr earlier just to make sure we had a table for 5. If you like sea food and fish, this is the place to go. Parking is tricky as it is located very central in Lisbon. Make sure you don't come dining in a budget!   Went here twice during my stay in Lisbon because we liked it so much! Seafood is very fresh and cooked food has good flavor profiles. It was our favorite seafood restaurant in Portugal, and we went to quite a few. Especially given the location on an expensive shopping street, I’m surprised they don’t charge more. - fresh oysters (so fresh they were a little sweet) - shrimp salad had a rly nice sauce, a little sweet and quite unique - Tiger shrimp was nicely cooked - we also got green wine (not pictured) and I thought it tasted very clean!   Most disappointing experience in Lisbon. If you’re not a local, perhaps don’t visit this restaurant. We were seated by a waiter who seated us with disdain. Treated extremely differently from the two customers who walked in before us - who were treated like we would have liked to be treated - the same politeness and courtesy. We were never served in this restaurant, we were given a menu and sat there for 15 minutes or more without anyone attending to us. When we tried to get the attention of an elder waiter he nodded but just walked off and never returned. We ended up walking out of the restaurant as we were clearly not welcome in there.   The food was delicious but the service sucks, we went to have some lunch and the waiter was a little rude but we just though he had a bad mood and try not to ruined our meal. The next day we tried to go again at night near to the closing time and in the terrace the waiter told us that we can go inside if we preferred to in a tired voice, so we tried to but the waiter inside was really so rude when he asked us for the covid passport and he took a lot of time trying to give us some reason just to not let us go inside. In a rude way he told us that my dad’s vaccine was expire when the day before we was there so we decided to go but he was rude all the time. So that’s the reason why I don’t recommend this place, they have to learn how to treat their clients, specially tourists that visit their country.   Came here with my partner during his break for a nice lunch. We were having a nice day but our experience here ruined it. Our waiter was passive aggressive and racist. Contrary to other reviews here, there was never any smile; just extremely curt and borderline rude behavior. I got a shrimp salad and asked, smilingly, if there was sauce. Our waiter: “There is already sauce.” I asked what was in the sauce. He recited the ingredients and added, with nose upturned, that “I think you’ll find it very suitable for the salad,” and walked away. I’m no stranger to Portugal or seafood restaurants; the subtle way he talked down to me was just disgraceful. Any non-white person who has had experience with European racism—when they lord their so-called cultural capital over you—knows what I am talking about. The salad ended up having a small piece of stone in it that I broke with my tooth and swallowed. Disgusting. When my partner complained the waiter was extremely defensive and tried to gaslight us. After ten minutes of discussion they refunded our salad. But the rest of the experience? You couldn’t pay money to repair it. I will never come back here again and I warn all people of color to stay far away to protect their emotional wellbeing. In the photos you have the most famous speciality of this restaurant, Bacalhau à Brás (codfish with scrambled eggs). The ambiance is noisy and not very cosy but it surely worth to visit! Waiters knew we were tourists and gave us expensive options even when we asked for prices. Worst dining experience we have had this year (and other years come to think of it) despite being one of the most expensive (€118.00).   Pricing was unclear. We realised that we had overordered, although we were not prompted by the waiter when ordering. We asked to alter our order moments later and we were told this was not possible. To add insult to injury a bit of bread was brought out which we were charged for without asking. We left a crab half eaten which could have probably been put back in the fridge, and we paid 50 eur for the privilege. Wouldnt have minded getting rinsed if the food was good, but compared with other food we have eaten in lisbon (often at one tenth of the price) it was unspectacular.   We asked the concierge for fresh seafood recommendations...She made a res and sent us here...We were not disappointed!!! Immediately brought breads, crab dip and round of cheese to the table. Crab dip was excellent! We shared steamed clams, then I had shrimp in garlic wine sauce while my husband had some type of seared pork. He said it was the best pork he had ever eaten. I ate all I could of the shrimp, had enough for lunch today, and STILL have shrimp left! Great portions, attentive service, and fun to watch others enjoy their food!   Shameless tourist scam. Waiter Luis Rodriguez was unprofessional and rude. We had already had a little dinner and only wanted a seafood snack to finish our trip in Portugal. The waiter displayed zero patience in explaining the (most expensive section of the) menu and behaved like a caveman, waving angrily with his arms. Instead of the more moderately priced crab we wanted and had pointed to on the menu, he brought us the most expensive crab item they have. We found out with the check: We had to pay 120 euros for two crab legs. The waiter waved us off rudely and called the manager who stood there insulting us, twisting things around with accusations like "If you can't afford it, don't order it".   Very good typical Portuguese place. Its speciality is the Sea Food, but you can (and should) order Fish (Codfish: Bacalhau a la Braz) or meat. They also have great local wines.   I booked a table here mainly because it was close by to the hotel. I figured we were on to a winner when locals turned up for something to eat. Mainly dealing in fish dishes, they do a meat menu as well, but you'll be missing out.   Great experience as always! The staff is very professional and the food is very well prepared (top quality ingredients). You can eat inside or choose an outside table near the kiosk across the street in the middle of the avenue (the menu is a little different outside though). I highly recommend the "prego do lombo" which is a simple but delicious snack made with sirloin steak fried with garlic served inside a bun as a sandwich.   Now this place does serious fish - including oysters! I visited with a large party following their performance at the Tivoli Theatre - so we arrived very late but the staff were extremely welcoming.   You know sometimes it is not the cost they charge, but you just feel put off and vow not to return? This is the place. Seafood is fresh but that’s considered pretty standard in Portugal. Service was below average. They lack patience and recommend the most expensive dish first and work their way down. But when you are a local, you can tell they are way more patient and honest with what they think you should eat. They have no shame of asking (or reminding) you to tip them. I would not go back, and certainly would not recommend to anyone. Of course, they don’t care - this is their attitude! They also offer steak which I had but it simply wasn't worth the price tag (it was tasty but a small portion with simple preparation and fries on the side).   Wonderful place for dinner. We ate outside and watched World Cup soccer. The oysters were amazing. The crab salad (crab dip) was particularly delicious. Would recommend.   perfect seafood, and perfect service!! a must when in Lisbon!! 👍👍 the only little letdown is that reservations are not possible, so people show up and ask for tables and wait inside standing at the bar or around tables which is not very nice for people who allready eat.....   Don't freak out on the prices. They are in Euros per KG. They are a little high, but the service and food is worth it. If you have never had Goose Barnacles, then give them a try. Amazing!   I was recommended this place by my hotel and my Uber driver from the airport. It is a really worthy recommendation! Start with the clams—they are phenomenal, then move to the shrimp (my Aussie in me, I mean tiger prawns). I saw a 350 gram tiger prawn. Incredible! Then move on to the cod and the red wine. Local and authentic and flavor some, with amazing bursts of red pepper corns! I didn’t try the lobster but it looked phenomenal too! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. And not too expensive.   It's local, busy and used by locals and tourists alike. They do inertia sell with starters but take what you want and send the rest back, no issues with that. It's a seafood place so they major on seafood, not meat. What they sell is good quality and good value. You do get the odd wierdo tourist. The couple behind us took grinning selfies at the lobster tank. Then they sat down and ate hamburgers. And drank water. Some people shouldn't have passports.   I know the food delivered before you order is chargeable but didn't expect it charge so much for the crab stuffing and bread and the ham. They should tell the price before they delivered. Taste is so so for the crab stuffing. I do want to try though. The ham is not good. I took away the cheese and the butter. Otherwise they charge more.   Mixed feelings. OK, so in their defence, it was our first night in Lisbon and we had no language. A head waiter chose our starters for us as we fumbled with menus and phrase books. They were so-so (crab and ripe cheese), whereas the main courses were better (an authentic salt cod dish and a tasty veal steak). I wouldn’t hurry back.
