  We enjoyed it very much - the ambience is very warm, cozy and authentic. The kitchen was closed but so we didn’t have a chance to try the food, but I had Porto wine tasting (too sweet for my taste). Our waiter was friendly and fun. Also the artists and Nana were amazing!   The service seemed in a hurry as soon as we were seated. Further more, they didn’t respect our orders. The food was OK but very expensive for what it is. O came once in 2022 ans another time in 2024, the 2nd experience was very disappointing comparing to the 1st. The better is to share some plates with a wine but you can forget the Fado menu. The place went from typical to 100% touristic activity. It is very sad. However, I enjoyed a lot the part of the singers ans musician.   Excellent fado voices and music. Top hospitality and kindness. Got to talk for a while with the owner (a singer himself) and the two lady singers, they are beautiful people and extremely friendly.   Amazing food and good music. Highly recommend the set menu which was €29.90 included a small 50ml of porto wine, bread, olive oil, cheese and olives. Then for main course you decide between a slow cooked veal with mushroom sauce or a cod potato bake (this one was the best cod bake I’ve personally had), and to end it you get to choose a desert - we went for flan. The musicians do a show every 30-40 minutes for around 25 minutes. No hidden costs, just good food and good music. We went on a monday night and it was very lively.   Had a great time coming here with a group of friends visiting Lisbon. Particularly ideal if you're a big fan of seafood. They have Fada in the evenings from 7 to 10pm (reserve before to ensure a table), makes for a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant.   Definitely a tourist venue. High price, mediocre value. Food was average, server was pleasant but struggled with managing his tables (while other staff Sat on his phone all night).   Absolutely loved this place for a more authentic Fado experience. I was visiting Lisbon and wanted to see some of this local live music and also something not too touristy.   the fado is lovely and the singers are very talented. note that they will only sing for fifteen minutes every hour or so, so manage expectations. the food wasn’t great, but the atmosphere makes up for it. we did notice that for their christmas dinner, the meat and cheese plate was already sitting on the table when we arrived. we saw other groups who arrived at the end of our meal be served the same plate that had been sitting out for more than two hours (at least). my partner did feel quite sick after eating here, and i see other reviews mention it as well. i assume christmas is a busy night and they’re better on a regular night! The main dishes are at the average of 15 Euro, a glass of wine is 6'50 and a bottle starts from Euro 22.- They don't have house wine, only bottled.   Stayed at the marina for a night and discovered Bohemia Lx, we called in for some food and had a very good evening, the service was amazing thanks to all the staff especially Fabrizio, (I hope i have his name right) he looked after us all evening. The food was delicious and so well presented. It was warm, cosy and has a lovely atmosphere. The cost was good. The restaurant has toilets within for customers decorating is nice and very Portuguese. If your passing or staying local I recommend going to visit them and have a lovely evening. We wish to return to the marina early next year and will definitely call in again.   Great place to enjoy a genuine Portuguese Fado. Beautiful restaurant with many adorned walls and decorations. We had to make a reservation a day in advance to make sure we got into a Fado performance. Food was just ok. The bread was a little stale, and mash potatoes with cod were very plain.   Awesome food. Prices reasonable but a bit higher than other cheaper places. The night we went, they had a music show that we loved. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner (or so I thought he was) and he was nice and was indeed worried that we had liked the experience. Totally recommended.   Among the worst service I have ever had. Food was nothing special we obviously stepped into a tourist trap. Not a big deal it happens and we move on. Issue is having to wait 20 min for the bill and asking 3 times and stressing we want to go to this waiter who kept on helping other tables with there bills and orders and just left us hanging. I got so upset with this place I went to the front of the store to demand my bill. Finally I get the bill but then found they messed up the bill with 5 extra charges total $181. After asking the manager to explain these charges he called the waiter who said these should not be there it’s a mistake so they removed them and now asked us to pay $151 the newly corrected amount.   This place was such a big surprise! We were looking for a place to listen to FADO, and everything in the area was too touristic... Then we ran into this place. The performance was so worth it, the staff - welcoming. And the food - delicious. It felt cosy. Definitely a good place to go to if you want to experience the traditional spirit and enjoy Fado...I recommend it.   We had a fantastic time. The Fado singers, the food and the service were all wonderful. I am not a Fado expert but I enjoyed the experience and thought the atmosphere was perfect. My only complaint would actually be some of the other patrons. If you attend (which I recommend), please use some common sense. When the lights are lowered to create a more intimate atmosphere do not pull out your phone flashlight and shine it in the performers face. Be respectful and just enjoy the moment.   We got mixed feeling from our dinner here. The atmosphere is amazing, the place is beautiful and the music is lovely. The food was good. The mushrooms with sausages was really tasty. The service was not as good as we would have liked. Every thing we asked for took some time. The appetizers came 30 after we ordered them. We skip dessert because of this reason.   If you want to experience a Fado show, this is a good place, but not sure if that is the trend, but the singers only sing 3 songs and then take a 20 minute break, which it seemed odd for me, but I didn't have a chance to listen to other Fado singers so just giving you heads-up. Some of the waiters were nice, and the person who reserved a table for us was very accommodating, but my waiter, who had colored hair, seemed rushed and not pleasant. The food was OK, but not the best. As a Fado experience it was acceptable.   In a traditional environment (Portuguese kitsch?) we were well taken care of, service was friendly and attentive. There is only one vegan option on the menu that was ok but, well, they obviously usually cook traditionally. So the convincing part of the food (meat/fish) was missing. However, you go there for the music which was lovely. The musicians do 3 songs, then take 45 mins break and then do another 3 songs.   Enjoyed an evening of fado, drinks and light bites. The restaurant was cozy inside and I enjoyed when the lights went down before the show, which added to the ambiance. Bottom line- go to Bohemia Lx if you want to see a fado performance! That's why we went and we were happy. Food- We ordered the shared appetizer plate. The sheep's cheese and chorizo were fantastic, as well as the soup. The olives were very salty and the bread was dry. If you're not very hungry, but want something to nibble on during the show with drinks, I recommend. For 2 people it was enough, but I could easily see this being enough for 4 if you wanted to enjoy a meal, too. Drinks- we ordered an aperitif, the port sampler, beer from the tap, and a Portuguese cider. My spouse and I really enjoyed sipping on the port sampler and tasting the subtle differences. Service- was a little hectic. We had to ask for the bread which was included in the appetizer board and the waiter wasn't sure if it was included. He also took a while to come and remove items that we were done with, but kept bringing drinks so the table became cramped. Performance- we really enjoyed the performance, though the 8:30pm was better than the 9:30pm due to the simple fact that at 8:30pm one of the waiters asked for people to be quiet. The later performance didn't have the announcement and there was a table right in front of the performance that was very loud and distracting. Three amazing Fado singers preformed to us, and everyone of them was unique in their own way, you could just feel the emotion they were singing even tho we didn't understand them. We were just amazed how good everything was, one day when we come back to Portugal we will for sure return to this restaurant. We were group of 5, and we paid 37euro per person for bottle of wine, two bottles of water, plate of cheese and some olives, main dish, desert and tea.   I loved this place from the moment I walked by late one evening! I peeked in the next afternoon, and was encouraged to come in and look around by the incredibly friendly Ricardo. I made a reservation for dinner that night during their nightly fado performance. Though the grilled codfish was not my favorite, I honestly think that is just how it is in Portugal for me (I keep trying to like their traditional fare, but keep being less than thrilled by it… so not necessarily their fault). However, Ricardo handled the entire restaurant with grace and humor. He was a welcoming and lovely host! The music was phenomenal! The musicians were top notch. The vibe felt very authentic, and what I’d been missing in other fado spaces in Porto and Coimbra. The fadistas were fabulous, and one of the guys in an apron suddenly jumped into the mix blew us all away! Bravo! I loved the whole experience! Go treat yourself!   We stopped by the day before for a drink and realized this was a “Fado” restaurant. My wife wanted to hear Fado so we booked a table. This guys here are fabulous. They let us pick out our table. The service was also very attentive even with a large crowd. Good variety of selections off the menu and the house wine was very enjoyable.   The staff and food are great. This was one of the only places we found where the fado performances start at 7:30pm. This worked well for us because we visited with our two children.   We randomly found this place walking around and first thought it was empty until we heard the clapping as we walked past. The place is larger than it seems from the outside. We asked the waiter if we could have drinks and listen to the Fado and they agreed. The staff was very welcoming and sweet the whole time and the Fado singers and guitarists were amazing. At the end a 83 year old woman from the audience asked if she could sing, and we were graced with a wonderful performance from her. It was a very memorable night for us here.   My friends and I were on the last night of our time in Lisbon. Incredibly tired from a lunchtime boat tour, and a day at the beach, we just wanted something close.   I don't often leave bad reviews but unfortunately this place was very disappointing and the food quality was terrible. The Fado was excellent, truly beautiful with some very talented musicians and singers which is why I have two stars but the food deserve minus stars to be honest, the food was terrible, the worst I had in Portugal dry overcooked and tasstless (expect for salt) no other flavours. Honestly the food is way overpriced and bad quality especially for the price. Also the wait staff seemed lovely but they kept forgetting about us which meant we were slow to offer our meal and had to wait a long time for our bill. The good itself was very bad quality - I had grilled cod which was more like deep fried- it was very over cooked, chewy and dry and there was no flavour to the meal. Very overpriced for the quality of the food I wouldn't recommend this place save your money and go elsewhere.   We got there by chance and we've been lucky! It has been a valuable experience. The staff was very friendly, the location with that incredible old-style furniture have been set up attentively to recreate a very typical and evocative atmosphere: it seems to look in the past. We have been there at 7pm of a Monday and we didn't know that there would be a live fado performance in few minutes..so, as tourists that have few time to discover the city, we were going to pay the bill very fast and save time when Ricardo offered us to anticipate a little bit the performance to give us the opportunity to assist to that. It was totally worth it...the fado singer was amazing, her voice penetrates deeply and transports you at the very heart of Portuguese culture.   We came by this restaurant while walking around at night. From the street entrance the restaurant looks much smaller than it is. Bohemia Lx is not for the culinary timid as the menu is Portuguese fare, e.g. salted cod, octopus etc. If you are willing to take a chance, it's a very nice experience with a cozy atmosphere. Our table ordered an octopus entre, bife entre and bacalhau entre, with the octopus being the table favorite. The Fado singers were wonderful. We hung around long enough to hear 4 singers, 3 sessions of singing, including one of the restaurant owner. Do keep in mind, if you'er out with a large group and want to chat and catch up, this is not the restaurant for you as the expectation is to be quiet in order to be respectful to the singers while they sing.   Tonight we had the evening of a lifetime at this fado restaurant. The location was good and the food was excellent. We enjoyed listening to the fado performance and were served by Ricardo an excellent waiter who attended to our needs throughout with charm and good humour.   Very tasty food! The veal stew was absolutely incredible. Also good fish in garlic butter sauce as well as olives and cheese as a starter. Good selection of local craft beers both on tap and bottled. We enjoyed Fado during dinner. Though the main Fadista was a little less experienced than at some of the more expensive restaurants, it was certainly enjoyable! Good value for money too. I would go here again.   Very bad place, it sounds nice but at the end its very expensive, plates are quite small but ok. The worse thing was definitely the day after, we both got sick while eating different food, also they tried to charge us extra things we didn't order. Skip this place, there are many other restaurants in Alfama with musicians etc that are much much better !!! A very symathic fact is that the owner of this place is preforming himself, while his mom cooks!   Finally had a chance to eat grilled Sardines with a vino verde here and it did not dissapoint. Everything my Girlfriend and I tried there was delicious and for a laughably cheap price.   Definitely worth a visit! Fado singing starts at 21.00 for about 15 minutes, then at 22.00 a new selection of fados and lastly at 23.00. It is a restaurant that is not so well known, but has this special atmosphere and very good fados. It is not so crowded as the famous restaurant we've been the previous evenings and one enjoys the evening much better. I definitely recommend it.   Came here for a 7 o'clock supper and it was a positive experience. The fado show included multiple singers and two guitarists all of whom were very good. Understanding the food is priced at a premium because of the live show, I struggle not with the price but the portions that were small to Lisbon standards (where my wife and I usually share a main and are full-or almost)!   Staff are extremely nice and the Fado has atmosphere and intimacy but the food was pretty bad and expensive. If it weren't for the staff and Fado I would have given this place a one star. If you're looking for just a place to eat go elsewhere. There are tons of other options.   Stubbled upon this place and had a wonderful time. The owner was really cool and sang with some local musicians. The hostess was super nice and could speak like 5-7 languages.   I had lunch at Bohemia LX with my wife and my 3yo baby daughter on December 28. It is a typical tourist trap, with an unfriendly staff and an extremely low quality/price ratio, even in comparison to the other tourist restaurants in the very same area. They "forgot" to serve the course we ordered for the baby, so we shared ours with her. Not a problem per se, these things normally happen but... at the end of the lunch, the staff pretended the dish was actually served and wanted us to pay for it.   What a treat. The staff is so nice and a pleasure to be around. We stepped in to have a drink, and were pleasantly suprised by the warm hospitality. They sing fado here, which we weren't aware of until it happened. The staff seem to genuinely love what they do. I recommend trying the port cocktail. It's a mix of white port wine and tonic water!   Think I've left only 3 one star reviews in my life, but this is definitely one. The staff was really nice, but the cheese and cold meats platter of €9,50 was a bad collection of a few supermarket meats and thin slices of cheap cheese. The bread with spicy dip tasted like it was over the due date. My girlfriend and me are both having stomach issues, and although you can never be 100% sure, we both think the highest probability is that it was this place.
