  Recommended to me by two Japanese friend. The food is really decent. Would prefer chef special over Sake roll though both are great. The mazement is very very salty. Though flavorful, I probably wouldn’t order again. The yuzu tsuyu tsukemen (cold dipping ramen) is quite nice. It’s salty/sweet/slightly sour all in one. Excellent dishes, loving it!   Might be weird choosing to eat ramen when traveling in Portugal but it's the real thing just like in Japan unlike in Edinburgh where something's usually just slightly off. 😏 Preferred the tonkontsu ramen which has thinner kyushu style noodles than the tonkotsu tantanmen and is less salty. If you fish out the ginger, it's kind of like Ichiran but less rich. Would recommend getting extra charsiu pork!! The karaage 🐔 was really good with a nice dip and the chocolate cheesecake was divine, especially the base of it - so well-made (don't be put off by the word 'ginger' lol... the combination has the taste of sophistication 😂). The decor was also lovely. Good service.   Avoid ordering the Wagyu Yakiniku!! It's the most expensive dish of the menu and a total scam. It should not be in the menu at all, because Wagyu Yakiniku is supposed to be grilled with no sauce whatsoever but they served me stir fry wagyu in cubes with onions and soy sauce. How do I even know it was actually wagyu? and the rice tasted like a day old and looked like basmati rice.   Depending on what you order and how picky you are some ramen might not be top tier for you, with that said, I've been here more than 10 times in the last 3 years and the food most of the time is amazing! Only had a bad staff experience once, most of the time the staff is very friendly and accommodating to your needs. The place is also very well decorated and at night it's even cozier, one of the best ramen shops in Lisbon imo.   Really bad service. They cancelled my reservation 1 hour and a half before the time of the reservation, but the major problem is that they overall displayed a bad attitude and demeanor when communicating with me. Wouldn't recommend. Edit: even worse, after my review they decide to reply to me and lie. I did make a reservation to this restaurant (contrary to what they claim below) but they called to cancel an hour and a half before. They recommended I try the other restaurant in parque das nações. Which I did. I made a reservation on that restaurant for 19:30 (not 19h as they claim) and arrived 20 mins late and they refused to sit me. That’s fine and acceptable. Not great, but also not the source of my discontent in this review. However after seeing their demeanor while interacting with people in BOTH restaurants and also seeing the replies they write in social media HERE, there’s definitely an issue handling with customers during bad situations at these restaurants.   Was really looking forward to an original japanese ramen experience. Sadly we were quite disappointed by how we got treated as guests and by the food itself. The hazelnut ramen was more a pasta swimming in a thick sauce and the hot sake has been served in a red wine glass. My Ramen was good but was missing some toppings. Even thoe I understand the portuguese love for football I would wish that a Japanese restaurant would not turn on the tv on full volume.   Service was quick and really great, Yuzu Ratan Ramen were served within couple minutes & Kosho Cocktail too. All around everything was absolutly fine. Would totally recommend.   It’s an ok place. The Ramen was decent but the pork was dry and only good because it had a lot of fat, as it usually does. The added bamboo sticks are IMHO not at all typical in Japan and were most likely canned and of cheap quality where they are conserved with acid. You could clearly taste that acid in the Ramen. I first thought they add lemon juice but then noticed that the bamboo tasted slightly sour. The broth was rich though and the taste was good. Noodles were well cooked. You can’t choose the broth (pork, miso, soy sauce) for each ramen, the come preconfigured. The restaurant is calm and clean but the service could be better. The tables are wobbly and the server noticed it while taking my order but didn’t do anything to fix it. I was sitting at the table after I have finished and listened to a 50s voice message. Instead of waiting, the server came exactly at this moment and interrupted me. Some more consideration would have been nice. All in all it was decent. If you’re close, hungry and like ramen then give it a try. But it’s not worth coming here on purpose. I only tried the Ramen. (Traduzido pelo Google) É um lugar legal. Eu estava sentado à mesa depois de terminar e ouvi uma mensagem de voz dos anos 50. Em vez de esperar, o servidor chegou exatamente nesse momento e me interrompeu. Um pouco mais de consideração teria sido bom. Apesar de tudo, foi decente. Se você está perto, com fome e gosta de ramen, experimente. Mas não vale a pena vir aqui de propósito.   Went here with a group of friends to eat ramen. We all had the hazelnut ramen which was really, really good. One of the best broths I had in Lisbon, can definitely recommend, but 14€ is quite a number to be honest. Considering it’s in of the most touristy areas I guess it’s fine though. Staff was really unfriendly to me and my friends, maybe the waitress had a bad day but that was definitely not high quality service. Besides, I arrived at the restaurant early and staff had me wait awkwardly in lobby for 10 minutes and refused to seat me. Food good, service meh.   I ordered the tonkotsu tantanmen ramen while my friend ordered the hazelnut tantanmen ramen. Both were unfortunately underseasoned and lacking in umami flavours. Since both were tantanmen as well, I was looking for a certain level of spiciness that was promised by the menu description; unfortunately both dishes missed on this point as well. We resorted to asking for some soy sauce which definitely enhanced the flavour; not a complete save but it definitely helped both dishes. One of the servers came by at the end to ask what we thought. I responded earnestly and truthfully: both dishes were underseasoned to which he countered with “for you” [maybe]. He then explained that they don’t use shoyu or soy sauce for seasoning. Proper seasoning doesn’t have to come from soy sauce, I explained. Unfortunately this server was not interested in listening to the customer nor did the kitchen deliver on both these dishes. I cannot recommend this restaurant for ramen. For the prices they charge (13-14 euro) I expected way more.   The wait to get food served was a bit long but the staffs were friendly and helpful. The seaweed salad was a bit strange but the bun was nice and the ramen was very good (especially the texture of the noodles - the tantanmen and vegetarian broth are both very flavorful as well).   We came for a spontaneous lunch and were lucky to get a table. The food was great and packed with flavour! The only (small) issues werez that there was only one slice of pork in the ramen (should be 2-3 fot the price) and the tea in the end was thin with barely any taste. Service was very pleasant.   We had Yuzu shoyu, pork based ramen, matcha tiramisu. Noodle was really good, looks like it was made by them not a store bought. Although the chashu could have been 2 peices rather than 1 since many other ramen restaurants in lisbon place 2-3. Matcha tiramisu was not too sweet, I really enjoyed but it could have been more authentic with a bit stronger matcha flavor. Try their beer, its really good.   All in all nice restaurant. Interior is nice and clean. Our group of four (2 carnivores and 2 vegans) had few starters and ramen as lunch there. The eggplant bao was excellent and the chicken starter was very juicy as well. So the starters were really good. Ramens ( veggie and tonkotsu tantan) were good as well but to be honest at least the tonkotsu was a bit disappointing. The broth was spicy and very tasty but the noodles looked like the curly instant noodles you buy from asian food shops. In addition to noodles the portion had just minced pork meat, few pieces of mushrooms and bok choys, so pretty minimal. One gets much more plentiful ramen in e.g. Koppu in Lisbon with just few more euros. The service was also somewhat disappointing as our vegans asked if they could get their ramens spicy and the waiter said that they can bring some spices to the table so they can add themselves which we agreed. Soups came but no additional spices… after few minutes we asked again if we could get some spices and the waiter promised to do so…. Nothing ever appeared to the table.   This is probably one the best asian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The hazelnut tantanmen was spectacular and the mochis are a MUST. Definitely a place you must visit if you want to have a great meal in Lisbon. Around 8pm it starts to get crowded so it’s better to come a little early.   I found out about this place on a blog about dog-friendly restaurant. I called the shop at 14:07 pm yesterday (Saturday) to check if they allow dog inside the dining room. The guy who answered the phone said yes. He said they “aren’t taking reservation, just walk in”. So, my husband and I got there at around 18:30 pm that evening with our small dog in my front pack carrier. There was another couple waiting before us. I was checking out the menu while waiting. I was getting excited about what to order. When the door opened at 19:00, the guy (manager?) rudely refused to seat us because we have a dog. I explained that I have already called earlier and double checked to make sure. I asked him who answered the phone earlier they should have a list of the person working. He refused with a rude attitude. I just asked for the complaint book (Livro de Reclamações). Just want everyone to know that you can ask for that red complaint book 📕 to file a legal complaint to any establishment in Portugal. They, by law, have to give it to you. To the guy working on Saturday evening (November 6, 2021): you are very rude. You are the rudest person I’ve met in Portugal so far. If you can read this, yOU should quit your job and do something else that doesn’t require you to work with people not interact with customers. Perguntei a ele quem atendeu o telefone antes que deveria ter uma lista da pessoa que trabalhava. Ele recusou com uma atitude rude. Só pedi o livro de reclamações. Só quero que todos saibam que pode pedir aquele livro de reclamações vermelho 📕 para apresentar uma reclamação judicial a qualquer estabelecimento em Portugal. Eles, por lei, têm que dar a você. Para o cara que trabalha no sábado à noite (6 de novembro de 2021): você é muito rude. Você é a pessoa mais rude que conheci em Portugal até agora.   Of the three ramen dishes we ordered, we enjoyed the tonkotsu shio soup the most (it also tasted the most Japanese to us; yuzu shoyu and yuzu ratan were fine, but maybe a bit unbalanced for us). The noodles weren't bad; one piece of pork was tender, the other two a little more on the chewy side. We didn't enjoy the crispy fried gyoza dumpling filling, but the fried eggplant bao was fine. We felt mixed about the service: one waitress was friendly, another much less so. One guy (the manager?) told us off for arriving two minutes before they opened and looking into the opened door to check if we could go in. Pretty convenient location though. Over all, we felt like we've had better value for money elsewhere in Lisbon.   So they charge 14 euros for “vegetarian Ramen” 13 Euros for pork. I ordered the Vegetarian and was expecting to have enough vegetables since I pay 1 euro more which usually meat is more expensive. But it came with exactly 2 pieces of mushroom. 2! And 3 baby bokchoy, 3-4 pieces of cashew and a huge amount of noodles and no egg! 🤦🏻‍♀️ The flavor of broth was very nice. But if you’re going to charge 14 euros for a noodle soup which the cost is no more than 1.5 euros, at least don’t be cheap w the vegetables.   I got a chicken karaage and 2 Tsukemen. It was amazing!   Nice restaurant, easy access with 3 to 4 tables outside and lots of room and spaced tables inside. Staff is very nice and service is good. We took crispy gyosas dumplings for starter and it was divine. As a main course we took ramen: yuzu shoyo and yuzu ratan. Both were pretty good and the ratan had a great dose of spice. Suggestion: the outdoor tables need to be a little bit more iluminated. Other thing, let your clients know in advance the kitchen is closing before it does. Recommend!   Gyoza was very good. Shio Tonkotsu ramen was okay - broth wasn’t as intense as I would expect from tonkotsu. Mun shrooms didnt fit well (generally they are not added to tonkotsu ramen).   I went there with my girlfriend with high expectations because of recommendations and good reviews. The place is very cozy and the staff nice. We had some Bao as starters and they were awesome. Especially the chicken one. We both ordered ramen for the main course.y girlfriends Yuzu Shoyu was ok. Really not that great but ok. My Yuzu Ratan was unfortunately the worst ramen I ever had in my life 😫 to the point where I could not eat it. It had a sour taste as if someon dropped a bottle of vinegar in it. I told the waiter that I was sorry but that the ramen is super sour, that i could not eat it and that I would like to order something else. In the the end I ended up eating two more delicious Bao. I am not a difficult customer. I have worked in restaurants and bars almost my whole life. So I know things can go wrong. So it did not bother me that much because in the end I got to eat some good food. What bothers me ist that the 14€ ramen ended up on the bill. Where I worked we would simply not do that. I know tastes are different but there was clearly something wrong with that ramen. And I fell like I should not have paid for that. So medium experience for us and only 3 stars.. maybe next time.   Ramen is famous for yuzi soup. I feel it's special but with spicy flavor the yuzi is not that obvious. The fried chicken is just normal ones but the price is a little bit high for me. The service is ordinary although I expected kinda like Japanese considerate service attitude but unfortunately no. The service was average, but it was worse compared to restaurants in Japan. One thing that surprised me was that there was a piece of rubber band inside the food we ordered.   We had a disappointing experience here. The ramen we had was very average and they actually mistook my order and ended up giving me and my boyfriend the same thing (not what we wanted). I felt the food was quite overpriced and underwhelming. The staff were pleasant but it was very busy and as there was only two of them service was very slow. The gyoza and bao we had were nice, and the restaurant has a nice vibe, but I wouldn't go back here or recommend it if you like good ramen.   Extremely disappointed with the service, quality and taste... Pretty much tried a good round of the menu everything was very bland. Tofu was nice but really that was the highlight of the meal. Really wouldn't recommend this place ... I hope they just opened as that would be really the only excuse. Went in for lunch the employees sat is in a corner where at one point they started counting change where the entire place was empty ... Also they were sweeping and mopping with smelly cleaning agent as we were served our food. The exec or lead cook was in the kitchen watching all this unfold and felt he shoulda steped up for such a prestigious style of Japanese isakaya this place needs a ton of help.   Nearby Lisbon's downtown area is this AMAZING place!! I have been there 3 or 4 times and I always get the same thing: YUZU RATAN. I sincerely think that everything on the menu will be spectacular, but this ramen is among the best ones I've ever tasted. The LEMONADES are also something special that you simply MUST TRY.   Incredibly tragic service, okay food. The restaurant is severely understaffed and the staff poorly trained. I spent around 15 minutes waiting in the bar area with the hostess nowhere to be found. For some reason the hostess spends more time acting as a server than seating customers.The staff and bartender who saw me enter the restaurant did not even bother to notify the hostess and just spent their time chatting away.   We were disappointed with Afuri. I am a big fan of ramen and the one we had was just average. Half a boiled (overcooked egg) that was cold inside. I am also super annoyed to get tap water and being charged for it. The bao was ok but not spectacular. We had a coupon so in the end it was not a terrible experience but at regular price there are many nicer options around.   I’ve heard they have the best ramen in the city and we came (a spoiler: they don’t) At first the service is average. You need to ask and repeat several times, they are not smiling and attentive, rush all the time and at the end added not eaten stuff to the bill. Beware At second they have absolutely impossible air conditioning system. Either you can not breathe because the kitchen is not separated and they cook 3-7 meters from your table or you freeze due to the cold wind from AC. Awful. The ramen (13€) was spicy but less tasty then a simple ramen/phopu we could have in Martimoniz for 6€. Sorry but Afuri doesn’t serve the best ramen in Lisbon. The gyoza were very good but too small for 10€ The dessert (5€, sesame chocolate truffles) was amazing, the cold chocolate with taste of choco frito. Try it! Tantas expectativas e resultado tão mediano. Pena.

  I usually come here for ramen because of it's convenient location, in the city center, and it's fairly easy to get a table without reservation. It has a nice atmosphere, and delicious yuzu flavored desserts and drinks. The ramen noodles and broth are great, however they could be more generous with the meat portions.   When you arrive you are given a small appetizer (couvert). We assumed it is complementary, as it was on the table when we were seated. When we received our bill we were surprised that we were charged for it. When we asked the waiter what we were being charged extra for it was the "couvert" . We told them we did not order it, and assumed it was commentary since it was as on the table. Her response was "well you ate it". I feel as if this is a scam to costumers because you are giving them something they did not order and then charging them after. Although the ramen was well flavoured, the price for what you recieve is high. My ramen was mostly noodles and literally one small piece of mushroom, and one peice of Bok choy.   I have been to Afuri LX four times in the last 5 days. That says a lot about their food quality and the experience you can enjoy there. Culinarywise, you cannot come closer to Japan without being in Japan.   The Yuzu Ratan (14€) was superb. Nice sour tinge to the soup, reminding me of tom yum soup closer to home. The unagi sushi (5€ for 2 pieces) came in petite size, with much more eel than rice, which made it a tasty mouthful. The prices are a bit on the high side though.   Instant like, while not perfect, it’s a great addition to the Lisbon asian dining scene. Great atmosphere and good service! The starters were all amazing(we had the seaweed salad, personal favourite as well as the crab fritters and the tofu and aubergine dish, all good). and the Yuzu flavoured lemonade was a incredibly good choice(yuzu is always a good choice!). As for the ramen, it was great, good broth and presentation, although, slightly underserved in the chashu department, one piece is simply not enough in a bowl of ramen. My girlfriend had the vegan truffle ramen, which was da bomb! Realllllllly good! Desertwise, both yuzu icecream and sesame seed icecream was delicious. If I could make a suggestion on improving this place is: add more chashu(delicious btw) to the dishes that come with it and consider adding Tonkotsu broth on the menu.
