  We stopped by here after a TukTuk tour and the service was so amazing I had to leave a positive review. The owner came in when we were having drinks and appetizers and she was lovely. The team that works here is so kind and thoughtful. We only had olives and bar snacks, an Aperol Spritz and a Sangria. It was a great place to take a quick break after touring all day. I wish we had time to stay for dinner but we were not the next spot. The place is small, quaint and sweet.   I landed there because all the other restaurants were full (Easter Sunday). Don't let the pretty good evaluations fool you. This place is below average and definitely overpriced. 15€ for a bitoque and a few fries is just insane. It should cost around 5-10€ max. Upon that, the owner/manager is weird and unpleasant. You can see that the focus is made on making money as most of the staff don't even speak Portuguese. It's an inauthentic and overpriced place. You can find way better and cheaper in Lisbon.   As a starter, the 3 of us shared the OPrego board. I felt like this was a nice mix of local dishes served tapas style. All were tasty and it was a lot of food! Then I had a steak with bacon and a fried egg served with fries. It was really good. The service was excellent 👌. Our server was a nice young man from Nepal 🇳🇵. I didn't catch his name, but he was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The only thing I would suggest is a little background music for ambiance.   We were looking for a place to listen to fado that is not very uptight and requiring booking a 5 course meal for loads of money - O Prego was perfect and we stumbled upon it when walking by!   Eww, this place was the worst restaurant I ate in Portugal 🇵🇹. my fried eggs were too fried, so fried and dried, and the fries were too crunchy for that thin style of fries . My meat was so salty that I felt it through my body. I was super-duper disappointed. The food took more than 30 minutes, and everyone was on their phones. Service is too slow and not working sufficiently. Arrived seeing people sitting on place mats meant for under your food. It rained, and they should have had all tables and chairs dried, knowing everyone liked the patio, again slow service, and unorganized as a team. I didn't finish my meal and definitely wouldn't eat there again. But who knows, my company liked her meal.   The atmosphere outside is beautiful. You're in the middle of the old city, it smells good, the architecture is on point. Unfortunately, this is not a Portuguese restaurant. It's, something else, posing. I speak English and Portuguese, it was monumentally difficult trying to order a 'bitoque' which is a f'kin staple Portuguese dish!!!!!   This is a great place for brunch on a lazy Sunday. Small, intimate dining area. I had the brunch for 1, English style eggs were perfectly cooked with a lovely cheese bread, the orange juice was freshly squeezed and their honey pancakes were light and sweet without being overly sweet. And the coffee with milk, cappuccino, had the perfect amount of stiff milk foam. Staff were very nice and spoke English very well.   One of the tapas plates with beef, forgot the name, was by far the best fish we tried there. Excellent wine sauce, top quality meat. We tried some other shrimp tapas, salad and one of the sandwiches, everything was delicious. The place is quite small, I guess it’s more known as a brunch place. There atmosphere is nice, overall there is an international vibe with a good balance between locals and tourists, it’s definitely not one of those touristic restaurants. And she wanted us to sit in a specific manner that was not reasonable given that there were still many empty seats. This was our first experience of Fado - we stumbled upon O Prego and didn't have a booking (having one is definitely recommended!) but Luisa looked after us, sitting us right next to the action upstairs. We just so happened to have come on a night where a huge party of locals were celebrating a special birthday and so many of the guests were up singing...it was an incredibly emotional experience being a part of the evening!   My husband had a salmon burger which was good-- a nice sauce on a buttery bun. They forgot to sub sweet potato fries, but that's ok. My chicken sandwich, on the other hand, was very plain and blah.   What a hidden gem! Best food we had during our stay in Portugal. The shrimp and tuna honestly blew us away, it was like nothing we’ve ever had before.   Spent our last evening in Lisbon at this lovely restaurant. We wanted to sit outside as it was a warm evening but there was no space. The waiter suggested we sit inside upstairs where there was A/C and a Fado night due to start. We were a little wary as we were with the teens. In the end we had a fantastic night with great food, good service and amazing local traditional entertainment from 4 performers. Highly recommended for a Friday night Fado. I don't understand some of the reviews here that use the words "overpriced" or "tourist trap"...as a guide we paid ~35 euros for two decent sized burgers, two beers, a bottle of water, two deserts (nice ice cream btw) and a plate of olives and cheese...   From the outside it looks like a great place, where you can listen Fado every Thursday and Friday. What they don't tell you is they charge you €10 for it, without telling you beforehand. I don't mind paying for it if I'm not tricked to do so. Our waitress was very ignorant, it's fine if you don't like your job and you hate people, but then don't work in hospitality industry and make the customers' staying a bad experience. We ordered white wine which wasn't cold, we asked another waiter for our food order (because she was horrible) but the food didn't come, they forgot about it. We wanted to leave and the waitress came to make "the order" again, she said we can order it (again) and it will come in 5 minutes. We've waited 15 minutes and when we decided to leave, she take the plate that was meant to be for other people to our table. Don't go there. Horrible place. I had the ribs which were fall off the bone and my mom had a burger which to quote her 'was th best she'd had in years.' Minha mãe pegou o sanduíche de queijo e presunto que tinha gosto de resíduo de alho. O servidor foi muito bom sobre tudo, mas ainda assim a comida era muito ruim, mas o suco de laranja espremido na hora é ótimo.
