  I went with my wife, I had a prawn curry, mild, delicious! My wife had octopus salad which she stated was equally delicious also! We both had had alcohol free drinks! The word Couvert on your bill is for bread and olives that are brought to your table, even if you do not order them they are put on your bill. If the waiter asks if you want bread and olives you can refuse! Acaso is a small out of the way restaurant with as many seats outside as as in, but well worth a visit!   Amazing welcome to Lisbon on our first night. Lovely cozy restaurant, super friendly and attentive staff, star service. We have ordered 3 dishes for 2 adults and 1 toddler and there was plenty to share, very filling. The cod and potato was AMAZING, the mushroom risotto was fragrant and soft, and the octopus was tender. Super tasty and good sized portions, even the baby approved! They had a high chair for our baby, so I would say it is child friendly. Did not check out the toilet so cannot comment if they have nappy area or not.   I hate leaving negative reviews but this dinner experience was quite average. I am not sure how it has the rating it has. First, the positives: we had very good service and the portions seemed reasonable for the price. 2 items were good - the cabbage and sweet potato puree and the pork cheeks (although the risotto was very salty). However, the dumplings tasted like they were frozen and just heated up and the octopus salad had very little flavor + it had the distinct crunch of sand. The veggie and shrimp curry were very bland. Unfortunately we will not return, which is too bad because it is in our neighborhood and has a nice menu (on paper).   We had dinner here and the food was great! I had the vegetarian curry and my husband the cod and it was cooked to perfection. Very comfort-food like! The staff were very nice, attentive and with a cheerful vibe. Totally recommend to try this restaurant when in Lisbon, as it is very small, cosy, with history and delicious food (and great wine!)   I have walked by so many times without realizing what a GEM this place is. Loved our experience right from the start… service was friendly, fun - perfect. Came with a group of 7 to celebrate a birthday. The decor, the music, the FOOD, the WINE was 5 stars. Ordered a bunch of dishes to share - burrata, octopus, pork cheeks, cabbage, shrimp, tuna sashimi - delicious!! For dessert we ordered one of each and we didn’t leave any behind. Thanks!!   My favorite place for food and drinks in Lisbon. Excellent customer service, fabulous atmosphere and the food is just epic. Make sure to try the best cheese you can find in Lisbon, the Shrimp plate and the Octopus with mashed potatoes. But everything is excellent in the menu.   Lovely restaurant near the Green Street. Sitting outside on a beautiful Lisbon evening makes it an ideal setting. The food is fantastic. I’m sure most people skip over the vegetable curry, but it’s absolutely stellar. Most Portuguese restaurants claim that food is spicy, but this restaurant actually delivers a good kick. The sautéed shrimp has great heat and a wonderful sauce for dipping bread when you’re done. The octopus was perfectly cooked, and I think with this level of skill, I’d love to see them do a Polvo a Lagareiro instead of mashed potatoes. We also had the truffled cabbage that didn’t have a single hint of truffle (or salt!) in it; a huge ripoff at 9€ imo. We should’ve known this would’ve been disappointing as the neighbouring restaurants were much busier! Also the Tuna Sashimi was so so good, and the grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. I really highly recommend this restaurant. The service was great as well.   Amazing place! Me and my partner arrived in Lisbon late in the evening, and all the restaurants were closing. Acaso made an exception and gave us a table, offering some of their great dishes.   Below average. Bread was raw in the middle. Pork cheeks were cold and very bland, risotto was overcooked. Food was visually very poor. Looked like a bowl of porridge with two pieces of anemic meat on top. Wifes curry was not good either. We mentioned this to the waiter, they didnt seem to care.   My mife and I visited on our recent trip to lisbon. This restaurant can be found in the Green Street District. We started off with some Portugeese cheese and wine. The cheese with pumpkin spread is delicious. For our main courses we had the pork cheek in the Parmesan risotto which was outstanding and full of flavor. We shared the octopus in sweet potato puree and green salad. The flavours are vibrant and complement each other perfectly. The house wine was a great addition and paired nicely. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. After we paid our bill and were ready to leave the waitor came over and told us we should stay and poured us more wine.   My boyfriend and I had dinner here this evening, and it was honestly one of our best meals we’ve ever had. We were served by the kindest staff, I cant remember names but genuinely such lovely men. We had the best cheese in Lisbon and it truly lives up to the name- we were obsessed. We also had the pork risotto and shrimp curry- absolutely incredible. Amazing drinks and incredibly good service.   We arrived after hours due to a delayed flight. However we felt we where welcomed with open arms. We had several seafood dishes amongst which a very good octopus salad (which having an Italian mother in law is a big compliment).   Absolutely fantastic start to finish. We sat in the alley under the awnings and string lights and greenery where they made room for all six of us. Our family was charmed the whole night by Joao and the rest of the staff, but the food…exquisite. Everything we had was fantastic. The sardine toast—we had many versions in Lisbon, all good, but this was the best by far. The tuna they served us was likewise another level up from anything we’d had. And the octopus is served with a sweet potato purée that will have you wanting to lick the plate. We also shared the steak which was cooked perfectly and presented with their own style and flavor—we ate every bit.   I really wanted to give a good review but... 😤 Once we got the bill we noticed we were charged for tap water (!!) And the bread which we didn't order but was given to us immediately as we sat down. Why would a place charge you for stuff you didn't order?....😖 This has never happened to me on Portugal. For fairness I do have to say that the staff was nice and the food was ok overall. But I do wish they read this comment and stop this bad habit. It doesn't serve their business well, and makes gives their customer a bad taste at the end.   This place serves the most amazing octopus! Service was 5 stars, and the patio seating was comfortable as well. Keep in mind that in Portugal, it's customary for bread and water to be served (these cost money) so if you don't want it, just let the server know and they'll take it away. The sleeping cheek (pork cheeks on risotto) was very tender, and the barrata was fresh. My favourite dish was still the marinated octopus though.   On a Sunday evening my wife and I had dinner here. The food is okay, but certainly doesn't deliver on the rich taste promised. The portions are rather small. The menu advices 4 plates to share between two people, but for a meal I would advice 5 or even 6 (depending on the dish you order). The service is correct, be it a little bit sloppy, accompanied with lots of excuses for delays and things getting mixed up. The waiters seem to speak English. Maybe they do, or maybe just enough to understand the words necessary for the menu. We asked whether we could eat gluten free, but that had no idea what we were talking about. Initially they said everything on the menu was gluten free. Later on, when we ordered the cheese, it was served with wheat crackers. We asked them to swap the crackers for sweat potatoe chips, and they charged us an extra € 5 for that. All-in-all: Great expectations, far too few came true.   I wish everywhere was like this. The food was simple, quality, and totally delicious. I would recommend trying the chocolate mousse, it was so well balanced I couldn’t get enough.   nice staff in a cute neighborhood. i tried the grilled octopus bc it looked good. sadly it looked better than it tasted. the octopus was too soft with no chewiness or charred taste. and it lacked flavor of the octopus (or anything else). the green salad was a little sad and i’d recommend adding some apples to have a crunchy texture since the dish is all soft. the sweet potato purée was the best part of the dish. the beef tartare didn’t look good but it actually tasted good! better than my octopus dish. fruits were good. it got busy and only one server so service got slow. i’d try other dishes next time.   We went to dinner last night and everything was fantastic - I recommend this place very highly. They started us off with complimentary warm bread with truffle butter and olive oil. I could've eaten that alone. I then had the octopus which was cooked to perfection, she had the asparagus risotto - there was not a single spot on our plates by the end o the meal. The creme brûlée was the perfect end to the meal offering a light and sweet texture that had us fighting over the dish. Oh, and did I mention the wine? Go for the wine experience, taste a couple (for 1 Euro per head I might add) and then get a bottle. Thank me later. On top of it all the service was excellent and quick, the atmosphere was really nice, and the pricing was incredibly reasonable. I will be coming here again.   Disappointing. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. The food was ok, not exceptional (the gyozu starter was greasy and flaccid, the octopus was good, the tuna was acceptable, the risotto was ok when we added plenty of salt). More disappointing was the service - it was not particularly friendly or efficient (when waiters take your order without writing things down you know there will be trouble ahead). Nobody asked if everything was ok - even when we paid.   Honestly phenomenal vibe at this place! The shrimp risotto was delicious (but so was everything else).   We had a lovely dinner, our first night in Lisbon. The service was friendly, attentive and very fast. The food was outstanding. We had the tartar and slow cooked egg to start. Had the tuna and octopus for main. Excellent!! The wine choices were very good. We didn’t know what to order, and the waiter was great in suggesting us a good red that suited our taste. They let us try the wine before we ordered it. We had two different glasses of red, both very good. The manager/sommelier gave us good information on the wine regions and the wines.   A little gem nestled in a cute little street in Lisbon. I would 100% recommend to go there! One of the best restaurants we went to, during our stay in Lisbon, at an affordable price. We were 3 and we had dinner. We enjoyed everything! We had the egg, the cabbage, the tuna and the tartare for starters. Then we ordered the pork, the tuna and the octopus for mains. Located in the historical Santos neighbourhood this lovely refurbished tavern has all the good stuff to make you feel complete. Starting with the amazing cocktail list - my personal recommendation is the moscow mule - then for starters the shrimp, Its really really good, top notch quality, after that you can have either the shrimp risotto (because you will be craving for more shrimp after that starter) or the most amazing sirloin steak, what a steak ladies and gentleman!   Even though this restaurant is located in the middle of the city, it is hidden away from the crowds of tourists. Best Octopus and Tuna I have had in Portugal this year !!! Very recommendable !!
