  A nice and relaxed Italian with a great range of menu options. We had the aubergine parmigiana and bruschetta to start - no frills but absolutely delicious. This was followed by the ham & mushroom pizza and the pepperoni pizza, again wholesome & delicious. One word of warning - they don't modify pizza toppings so make sure you pick the one you like! Leave room for dessert, we have the profiteroles and the Biscoff cheesecake - the cheesecake was SENSATIONAL! Portions were generous so you won't leave hungry! The prices were very reasonable too, considering the quality of the food. Overall a really authentic Italian, serving delicious and homemade food.   Went in for a quick meal and happy they were able to accommodate without reservation. The cheesecake was a special and it was the highlight for me. The pasta alla forma is made in front of you.   One of the best traditional italian restaurants we have experienced plus great service even though the restaurant is huge and there is demand. I recommend to book in advance as we were waiting to be seated, it looks like locals are visiting this place too, so it is always busy. The food is really good, and it came out very fast, we were served by friendly staff. Prices really affordable.   This place seems to be quite trendy. When we arrived at 8.30 pm it was pretty crowded but we managed to get a table without having reserved courtesy of the welcoming staff who freed a table for us. Service is quite efficient, the choice on the menu is huge, maybe even a little too much. They have an open kitchen where you can watch the food being prepared with all the upsides and downsides of such an arrangement. The restaurant is huge (former garage?) and quite noisy with so many people. Ordering drinks and food was fast, they even accommodated some special demands. The food was very tasty, some of the best I had during our 2 week stay in Portugal. Prices moderate. (130 € for starters and main courses including alcoholic drinks for 4 people) Certainly not a gourmet restaurant but a good option if you happen to stay nearby. E bastante barulhento com tanta gente. Encomendar bebidas e comida foi rápido, eles até atenderam a algumas demandas especiais. A comida era muito saborosa, uma das melhores que comi durante a nossa estadia de 2 semanas em Portugal. Preços moderados. (130€ entradas e pratos principais incluindo bebidas alcoólicas para 4 pessoas) Certamente não é um restaurante gourmet mas é uma boa opção se ficar por perto.

  Average/ok food . Even though they didn’t have our reservation we were given a table. We have been told that we can only order the day’s menu but after a while we saw other dishes being served to the rest of the tables. We asked for one of those dishes and we have been told that it was an exception due to the specific clients being chef’s friends. Overall, some of the staff behaviour felt rude.   Ambiance is nice but I must say their service is really third class, expect for one guy from bangladesh, none of other staff was friendly and professional. Nobody was there to greet us and show us a table, later we were sitting for quite a while but nobody came to took our order, rather I had to call a guy myself to give the order. Its not that the staff was busy rather they were just hanging here and there!I could sense that as I myself own a restaurant in Switzerland and have worked in service too. Then I requested my food to be little bit spicy, but forget about spicy, rather it was so bland that I had to add so much of salt and pepper to have some flavours atleast. At the time of food clearance, none of the staff asked if we were satisfied or the food was good or not whatever, instead they were having nice gala time and chit chatting among themselves cracking jokes! Overall the restaurant location and set up has been well maintained, menu has variety of nice dishes but its my suggestion for the owner to please get his/her staff in line and look after more customer satisfaction and seriousness among employees.   We were recommended to this restaurant by staff while staying at at the beautiful Iberostar Hotel across the road. The restaurant itself is very popular and busy although not too loud. The staff are incredibly friendly and their attention to detail was very impressive. They all worked in unison. We ate there every night for the duration of our 3 night stay and can honestly say the food and experience every night was magical. We would recommend you try the House Special if you like spaghetti.   Really pleased we found this gem of a place. Managed to get seats outside (it is very popular) we had pasta and beers and they were delicious. We went back on our last day and had the sliced steak which was melt in the mouth. We added the two desserts and had bottle of white wine. Then tried a glass of the red which was brilliant.   We were there for dinner (a big group) and the staff made sure everyone was served quickly. Drink orders were taken quickly so we had a drink while deciding what to order to eat.   Food is good, but the waitress come every 5 minutes asking if you're done or if you want to order. They want you to eat and leave. Another down side for me is sharing tables with strange, they put an acrylic window to separate a table in two and you basically share table with strangers while you're eating.   This restaurant is a bit more expensive than expected, but it was worth it! The food was very delicious, one of the best pizzas I‘ve eaten, the burrata on top of it was great.   The food was delicious! We ordered two pizzas and a salad and they were great. I was very happy and satisfied with my food, leaving me with a warm feeling in my stomach. Even the bread sticks were good! After we took our order it took about five minutes for the drinks to arrive and only after two minutes after we got our food! We were not ready for them to come so soon! I am not making this up. The service were really kind and really played their part. The restaurant itself is nice and has good decorations that make you really feel comfortable. The outside matches. With tables and chairs under a roof. The only reason I gave it four stars for location is because when I was outside I could hear the many cars crossing by. I didn't really mind it though and I'm sure you can't hear it inside the restaurant. This was my third visit there and I noticed they expanded the outside area. There was a tree in the way so instead of removing it they put it in the middle and it pokes out a hole. I attached a picture of it with this review.   I've eaten at four Italian restaurants in Lisbon. Al Garage was ok but not one I would return to if I had a choice. We had two different pastas (mushroom, meat) and found them lacking in flavor.   A very good Italian restaurant. Was very busy when we came but we were lucky to have a place without reserving one. The place is big and it was busy at noon so the only reason could be it greatness. We were 2 and ordered the 4 Bruschettas, Pesto Ravioli and Spinach Egg Pizza. The food was awesome and fulfilling at a reasonable price. The staff were very nice and always were there for us even though the place was very busy. Overall the place looks good and feels very good to eat and one of the Pasta makers even made the Pasta in front of us which was really cool. Very recommended!   We went here two nights in a row as we liked it so much (plus it's one of the only restaurant's that is open all the time). Drinks, food, and everything else is great here. You can't go wrong. They also have some special menus, like Fig pizza (picture), Fig pasta, and other specials.   17/12/22 UPDATE: Last time when I left the review, before going away from the restaurant, a waitress apologized and explained to us the delay was fue to a system error; so today we came back to check if that was actually true.... it was! Today, everything was amazing, so I have to modify the score and put what's actually deserved. I am happy to recommend it as the food and service are both great! PREVIOUS REVIEW: The food was good, but the service was absolutely slow! We had to ask for the beverage three times and ended up arriving after the first dish. When we finished the first dish, we had to wait over 40 minutes and ask for it three times until it finally arrived over one hour after we ordered it! And the place wasn't even half full! Being with two babies was even harder to bear! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who value their time!   Seemed very disorganized. The host was not in the front when we came in and a bunch of servers told us to wait to be seated. Another group without a reservation came after us and when the host returned, he took their names first. Food did come fast but it was nothing special.   You have many choices for Italian restaurants in Lisbon and this was recommended. The vibe is lively and colourful: you could imagine yourself in Italy though the street and part of town is quiet, so one feels launched in to a new world! There is parking at a multi-story just a few steps down the street. We chose a white sangria to share made with Prosecco so you will pay a little more for this ( €27) and it’s well appointed with fruits. The main dishes vary in price and if you want one of their specialties it’s the pasta with Parmesan cheese. It’s rich to be sure: add some black truffle and it’s even richer (extra supplement €3: total €19.50). One guest had prawn risotto. Another a lasagna. They were all tasty and well prepared. We sat in a booth that was comfortable. We then ‘went to town’ with the desserts as sampler of 4: a little pricey (21.50) and too sweet so do not recommend the desserts. We paid 104 for 4 so not inexpensive (deduct the sangria and desserts and you’re at around 15 each that is reasonable in my mind.   I hadn’t booked this place and on the Friday evening it was very busy, so I waited even know I was told to go away once! Then about two minutes after that they gave me a table outside, I had a vegetarian spaghetti dish for my main which came very quickly for an extremely busy restaurant. Not the traditional spaghetti, a little different to what I normally have, but I enjoyed it. It was hot. After that I had a chocolate desert which I also devoured. Was pleased I waited it out.   We are staying at the iberostar across the road from restaurant and couldn’t resist a trip across the road for a lovely Italian dinner on our first night in Portugal. My partner said his calzone was the best he’s ever had and the lemon meringue pie was to die for. The waiters were okay, our was average.but there was another waiter waiting the neighbouring table and he was amazing!   Just amazing! Came for dinner and we were lucky to be seated as it was very busy! We ordered a steak and the house special pasta. Both dishes were amazing!   My first impression Was pretty good but after a couple minuts i recognized that its pretty loud in here. Anyways, i had the Spagetti with Gambas and a Glas of wine. The food had like no Taste and i got a very small Portion but the wine was fine. The Service was okay but not what i excpected. They had like no interest in Serving US more than we wanted. The worst, something named "Salmon carpaccio" which was in fact smoked Salmon. Good service. There are way better Italian restaurants than this one in Lisbon.   Fresh tasting ingredients, friendly service, and inexpensive pricing. Portions were large, all our meals were excellent, from pizza ( close enough to american style to keep your less adventurous kids happy), to the various pastas we had. Located across the street from the Iberostar hotel. Desserts were also very good. Everybody was happy in our party.   Brilliant pizza and pasta restaurant. Family friendly, generous tasty portions and great value. My kids had a great time aged 14, 12 and 9. The service was also very good and quick.
