  Me and my friend went in the historical restaurant in rossio for dinner . We were just amazed with the quality of food and the plate is up to the price . we had the prawn skewer and octopus.   Very unique place. Cosy atmosphere, perfect service. Tradition Portugal food but served in very interesting ways. We were offered nice table for 4 inside the restaurant. Ordered starters and mains - all of them very delicious. The lady who served us / beautiful Romanian/ ask us what kind of wine we like and suggested what to order - excellent wines. Our best buddy Leroy told us he had the best time with Egyptian twins here in 2012 - so we had to go. We were disappointed that there was no NFL on Sundays however! They should make this clearer. Anyway, Raptors lost so hi ho we go go. Buffalo wings were rock on though - extra thanks to Clara for the hot sauce!   awful experience! A very touristy place with really tremendous food at really high prices. We had the ham and cheese as starter, which was just a few pieces of prepacked ham and some cheese, not worthy of the price. The octopus and codfish were just terrible! Both consistency and taste of both plates were incredibily bad. We spent 35€ each for just this and a bottle of house wine. Not recommended at all. If I could give 0 stars I would!   We came back to this restaurant after 6 years again. It was one of the places we looked forward to see again in our vacation to Lisbon. We were really happy that after 2 years of pandemic the restaurant was still there. It did not disapoint. The food was even better than our memories. We will come back every evening in this vacation. We had the espetadas, one with seafood and one with veal. Amazing. We particularly appreciated the entry dish, very tasty (pata negra) We were reccomended a great wine to match our food, we are really glad we went with the reccomendation from the server. The lady really knew the wines and she reccomended something that we would love. She was right. After such a full meal, we had a really fresh desert that we reccomend (the lemon pie).   This is a hidden gem. The food is excellent and so is the wine. The waitress was very helpful with recommendations. Even though they were out of the cheese for my starter, she recommended another one as replacement and it went really well with the meat. I had the veal skewer for main course and I will gladly recommend it to anyone who likes meat. It was delicious. For dessert I had the lemon tart and it was so tasty. Sweet, but not too sweet.   Staff was very nice and the food was very good. We had the salmon fille and mixed sea skewer with the house wine (white). All main dishes are accompanied by a side of potatos and vegetables. The place is quite small and was bearly starting to fill up when we arrived (around 19:00 on a Sunday). By the time we left the small restaurant was almost full.   The service was really good, the female server was welcoming and helpful with the menu. The decor inside was nice, with candles on each table and an unique screwer holder at each table. The food was disappointing. We had cheese platter which was delicious. The octopus salad was bland and the portion was minimal. We had the house mixed fish screwer, the salmon was dry but the swordfish and tuna were good. The veal screwers were over tough, would not recommend it. Both screwers were disappointing in portions.   NB: this place is CASH ONLY. Otherwise a nice place and interesting food (almost everything is on a skewer which will be hung from a hook near your plate). Very little space though.   Fantastic food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Best seafood and fish I've had in years. The octopus and tuna steak are the best, but the squid and sword fish are also great.   Limited menu options (beef, turkey, fish, seafood) but they made up for it with the quality of the food and portion size (I never thought I would say "enough" to seafood :) ). Everyone enjoyed the food (the "spicy sausages" were a big hit with the kid) and for an atmospheric presentation ask for one of their "espedata"s as for sure it will make your evening. Around ~ 50 EUR for a dinner (wine & drinks included) made this a great dinner location. It's just off the main pedestrian street in the city center, making it easy for us to continue our sightseeing after dinner. The included port wine is nothing special, but good (you might want to favour getting the dessert). We had everything but the fish, and it was all very good! Mind that there is no vegetarian option.
