  Black Angus meat was bad, very tough, had to throw 50% of it. The ribs was mainly fat, my friend had to throw away half of it. Expensive but very bad, the wine tasted mould...In most places you pay half of it for much better food.   The service was terrible. The lady who took our order had to come over 3x to hear us repeat the order. She questioned us several times, if we were sure that we wanted three main dishes. She was somehow flappergeisted by the fact we only wanted one side dish. In the end she still managed to screw up the order... The best sauce.   Beautiful restaurant with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Came here to celebrate my partners birthday and they did not disappoint. Steak was cooked to perfection and the side sauces and salts complimented our meal. French fries and Mashed sweet potatoes were on point. Towards the end they brought out the literal best brownie sundae I’ve ever had with some life changing caramel sauce AND a lit sparkler to really make his birthday special. Just visiting Lisbon but I will tell everyone who asks to come here for a great steak with upscale vibes. The only minor setback is the salts come with a wooden fork and that fork is quite difficult for portion control. I try to shake a bit off onto the steak and it gets stuck so I get a bit more and now it’s too much. More so on me for lacking patience but 10/10 experience otherwise.   One of the best steakhouses i have visited! Despite no reservation, I was assigned a table. Beautiful modern interior design. The best starter ever and the wagu steak was also mind-blowing grilled to perfection! Top feature are the selections of salt and steak knives that was new for me, only adding to the top experience. When in Lisbon, it is definitely worth to visiting. Make sure to make a reservation because limited se are ts available. BYF steakhouse thank you for this wonderful experience.   Probably one of the best steaks I've had in ages, but the prices for the incidentals are obscene. They offered some bread to start, I foolishly accepted. 2€ for bread, 2€ for a dab of butter, 2€ for 5ml of olive oil, 2€ for something I didn't try or want to try as it didn't look appetising. 2€ for tap water. That 10€ on "nothings" was more than I spent on any other meal (including wine) the whole time I was in Lisbon. But the steak was fantastic, so I guess pick your battles.   I went here this past weekend and it was a pleasant experience. Everyone that worked there was extremely professional, polite, and personable. Matteaus (sp?) was my waiter and he was perfect. In addition, Renato and another gentleman also were helping out and did an amazing job as well. I ordered the mussels for a starter, the ribeye for the main course, and I got spinach and mushroom to accompany the ribeye. I also had mojitos with the meal and a coffee at the end.   We love our steak and oh my god was this unreal. Wine selection was excellent. You get to choose your own knife, the selection of salts were amazing and the steak was cooked perfectly.   Service was OK, nice ambiente, but we ordered 2 T-Bone steaks, both were ordered medium but arrived well done. They offered to exchange it, but I mean, we didn‘t want the meat to be thrown away, so we said we gonna eat it anyways. After we got the bill we asked them for a refund, to which they basically replied with „you ate it, you pay in full“. Very disappointed with this, would have at least expected them to offer a discount. The staff was kind though, just disappointed with the solution.   If you are in Lisbon, you HAVE to go to this restaurant, It is highly encouraged to have a reservation as they have a small dining room which makes it even more exclusive. We started with the yam soup and it was out of this world then the best part the meat, they have 7 to 10 cuts of meat from 200 to 400 grams, you can actually see the cuts. Then it comes with different sauces and also different salts. Perfectly cooked meat with salt and the sauce is just a great combination you can't pass on. Service makes you feel at home and they are always attentive and connected so you can have the best experience possible. No things to improve, just open more restaurants like this all over the world.   Avoid at all cost, check out the reviews, something has happened in the last week, I suspect the staff all walked out because the food, service, everything, was horrific. We paid €120 for a meal that I’ve had better from a food court. Steer clear!! If I was to guess where the main issue is I’d point the finger at the manager, she was terrible, the staff seemed to fear her, she had no idea how to run a restaurant and if I owned the restaurant I’d start by look at the manager! The only thing I can compliment is the Air Bread - amazing!   This was terrible. We been there yesterday and no way that we r going back. Some friend from home recommended it to me, so I was very happy to visited. But srsly it was terrible. The bread was hard and unchewable. For the steak we had to wait more than 90 minutes and we where the first one there. And it was well done and I asked for medium rare. It had all hard parts in it. Idunno what that was but it was disgusting. The fries where cold, they didn’t even gave us some new drinks after we asked for them. And as a trophy for this night I saw a freaking cockroach walking in the kitchen. After I eat a the food. Srsly this was the most terrible place I visited in Lisbon. Don’t recommend it to anyone.   Big disappointment. Pros: -Meat is good quality Cons: -Air conditioning was not working even though the manager tried to tell me that they don’t use it because it’s “an open space”. The only open space of the place is the door, so I’d say you find a better excuse or just say “I’m sorry the air con is not working”. We got at least to seat outside at a high table, inside it was 28 degrees Celsius -We arrived at 7:30pm and left at 10:30pm because the entreé (provolone) took 40 minutes to arrive and the meat, literally, one hour and twenty-five minutes since being ordered. -We had to ask at least for bread, and a plate, twenty minutes after being seated -We had to ask for someone to take us the wine order, 15 minutes after being seated -I asked for a small beer upon arrival, got a big one -We got charged for 3 additional entreés or whatever that we didn’t order (eggs, some kind of oil and something else) -And following the above, of course, we had to stand up and pay for the bill inside because after 15 minutes no one would come for us to pay with card Such a shame, they do have good meat, but it’s not worth it.   What a disappointing finish. Dinner started well enough with a perfectly seasoned steak tartare and slices of bread toasted in the Josper; a taste preview of the main dish that was soon to come. Good, balanced wine list. It's when the supposedly marbled ribeye arrived that everything went downhill. Marbled, it was not, severely lacking in fat except in hard, dense pockets here and there. Muscle texture was good, and cooked to the right doneness (rare). However, the steak was barely seared - despite the light grill marks, the outside felt boiled, not grilled.   Not sure if I went to a different restaurant to the other reviews but this was way below expectations, and less than anyone should expect from a culinary experience in Lisbon (see my last review for an amazing place that was a lot cheaper too!). The service was fine, the starters were okay, and then the mains arrived. The 35euro wagyu steak looked and tasted like dog food. The creamed spinach was like pond algae and the mushroom risotto was underdone. We paid up and left without going for desert based on what we’d had. Don’t bother with this place until they start paying attention to getting in good cuts of meat, there’s far better places! Não se preocupe com este lugar até que eles comecem a prestar atenção em conseguir bons cortes de carne, há lugares muito melhores!

  They are offering Wagyu, but the taste and the texture is not what Wagyu is about. Bad quality and it’s chewy.. My gf ordered the tuna steak and it was done. Not medium like how we ordered it. When I complained it, they had only excuses. My GF was sad about her tuna and I asked them politely for a new tuna steak, because my gf wouldn’t. He said that they will come up with it, even when I told them that we will pay for it. I thanked him for the service but then when we had to pay. They put it twice in the bill and complained.   Byf Steakhouse is a gem of Lisbon City. The food is second to none, the beef is in a different league. My girlfriend and I came here on our last night of our trip, and we were sorry we couldn’t spend another evening here.   We had a reservation at 7PM on the 16/Mar/22. We arrived at 6:59PM and originally were met with a very nice male waiter at the front bar. He informed us that we would need to wait for his colleague which was absolutely fine. His colleague came out and the first thing she asked very rudely was 'No masks,no?' while she herself had no mask on. She also complained that we were there at a 'crucial' two minutes before opening so they can get organized (note, this is 6:59PM). We usually arrive early in Ireland to avoid other customers waiting. We left ASAP. What a terrible waitress and welcome at what we thought was a well respected place. She should be trained immediately to a higher level.   Lengthy Service, felt lacking. Carpaccio and Entrecote were nice, however their "Wagyu" as they call it was absolutely terrible, exactly the opposite of what true Wagyu is supposed to be.   I gave this place two tries. The first time the service was actually quite good, but the steak which was ordered medium came actually well done. Last night, I decided to give it another try. I ordered medium rare and it came medium (so always order more rare than you normally like). However, the service was atrocious. It was like the staff didn’t want us there and wanted us to leave as soon as possible. I get that it’s a Monday night, but don’t make guests feel unwanted. I ordered a premium wine and was literally poured half a glass. Never once was asked if everything was ok or if we wanted anything else, dessert, coffee, etc. Our empty plates just sat there in front of us. And when I asked for the bill there was some confrontation between the manager and the waitress as to who should handle it. Really terrible experience. Take your euros elsewhere with actual service.   Had dinner here one evening and it was fabulous! Don’t miss the Air Bread balls for starters they’re incredible! The steak was also great and the desert was divine.   The location is lovely, the staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. I, however, am only giving it 3 stars because the menu is not accurate. Listed is Wagyu steak, and this was the only reason why we went to this restaurant on that day. We were on our honeymoon and I wanted us to treat ourselves to something we had never had before. Not only was it on the menu and had been taken off some time ago, it was on the online menu, in fact it still is today, a week later. The staff never notified us either when handing us the menu. Had I known I would have booked elsewhere and possibly gone there another time but I was very disappointed. If it was not for this I would have given 5 stars, the staff were lovely and the food was extremely good, the experience was lovely (you get to choose your knives) the sides were excellent and get a variety of salts to play with, but I felt mislead or at least that something like this, when their menu is so small, should not have been overlooked.   We really like this place. It is small and cozy. The first time we stopped by we couldn’t get a seat so make a reservation in advance for dinner. We just had lunch here today and walked in no problem. Have tried the national loin, the entrecôte and the burger as well as the potatoes and spinach. I have really liked everything we have tried. The staff is very friendly and proficient in English. This is our favorite steak place in the area because of the mix of the cozy vibe, good food, decent prices and friendly service. You’ll like it!   BYF Steakhouse has nice steaks and the starters are very nice as well. When you do offer me to choose steak knives, then I prefer cut the steak myself instead of already sliced up by the chef. As for the hospitality it was excellent, the waitress, Maria, did a fantastic job to make our evening in Lisbon a good one.   We had a booking of 16 people tonight, 4 left half way through eating, 3 steaks came wrong, was told could not have a sauce. The service was very bad with a rude waiter. Would not recommend to anybody. So for me it's a zero but can't do that so has to be a generous 1 as the desert was lovely. I especially liked his reaction when we told him we just got back from the beach....he was so disappointed in that fact...but in a funny way!   Amazing steakhouse we found while out walking. First time in Portugal for us and BYF was outstanding. Best steak & Potato Pavo and Albacore Tuna from New Zealand - just like us! Best ever service.   First of all this was my first visit to Portugal and 2nd it was Christmas Day. This turned out to be a hidden gem. Not many options as most restaurants were closed for the holiday. The slow cooked short ribs were so tender I did not need my knife. The Angus steak was perfect. A little fat around the edges for flavor. This was our second attempt at a good steak.   The steak hasn't gone through a proper rest and the dish got a bit bloody, something I wasn't expecting at all for a steakhouse. The quality of the meat was superb tho and the desserts really good!!
