  Deliciously fresh seafood. Celebrated my birthday here with a friend and would highly recommend it. The waiter Jorge was a gentleman & made the night so much better with recommendations and intetesting stories of his life.   This was our first time in Lisbon and our hotel recommended us to this restaurant and boy did we have a horrible experience. The food was alright but we were NOT asked if we wanted bread and olives and goat cheese, the elder bald waiter just brought it over when we thought it was complimentray( since he didn't ask). Then we asked for the typical dessert(some cake) that turned out to be so stale and tasted like nothing and when we told the waiter to please not add to the bill since we had not eaten it, he said no that it was fresh. When the bill came, we had all these fees and we questioned the bread charges since we didn't ask for it and normally that's complimentary and he didn't ask us and he said that we are NOT in America. We then told the waiter no wonder the place was empty because it was clear and obvious this place stinks! I paid the bill and we left. The lack of care about your customers and lack of empathy really deters anyone from going back and making sure we share our feedback on this platform. Five Oceans, you stink as a restaurant!   I have organized a group dinner for 32 people and it was very easy to organize due to the great professionals they have. The food was great and the service was even better. They took care of us all the time and I felt listened during the dinner and during the organization of it. Zelia and her team did a great job. I highly recommend this place.   The service was extremely poor, Saving grace was Clara who was efficient and tried to cover up for the lack of staff at the restaurant. They had a large party and withdrawn their staff.   I would NEVER recommend this restaurant! The Marriott recommended it to us, but we were sorely disappointed and told this to the hotel when we returned. We had coupons for a free drink which I told the hostess about when we were seated. She said instead she would give us free desserts and a glass of Port. So we ordered desserts, which we would not have ordered otherwise. Not only were we charged for the desserts, but we were never given the Port. The potatoes they brought with the meal were cold. When we told the waiter, who should have understood what we said, he brought out stone cold potatoes! By the time they finally brought warm, not hot, potatoes we were close to finishing the meal. The service was lacking as well. Only after we expressed our discontent about the issues and service to the hostess (possibly the owner) and were ready to leave did she actually offer the Port. Too little too late. She made no attempt to make the bill right. We had already spent over three weeks in Portugal and this meal was in the bottom of our list for meals enjoyed.   The food was very good and delicious, the service was also good. We arrived before usual lunch time around here so it wasnt very busy in the restaurant yet and our food came quick. We had a nice spot on the terrace at the water. The bridge is sometimes very noisey as there is a train track on the bridge. But you can hear that from every restaurant on the dock.   Terrible service, mediocre food and ridiculous wait times. First all the waiters look Incredibly unhappy and stressed. They did not want to do their job and it was evident on their face. It took two-three waiter calls to get any service and once food was ordered, it took close to TWO HOURS to get to the table. Once food was there, all of it was very average. Way over salted, basic and standard preparation. The only redeeming factor was that the seafood was fresh, save for the oysters that were the fishiest I’ve ever had. Terrible experience, food was nothing special. At the end, they tried to charge us for bread we never ate, and instead of taking it off, the waiter suggested we put that money instead towards a tip for him.   Come here if you want to eat with your eyes and just watch the ocean. Recently ate here with my family and waited 2 hours for sub par seafood. The food was fresh but the preparation was extremely poor I would recommend that nobody come to this restaurant. On top of the extremely over priced meal thr waiters will hound you for a tip. The clam starter and salmon pear salad was good but we asked 2 servers what they suggested for a main and both said the salt fish for 2. It was so bland and over priced that we took a few bites and was extremely underwhelmed. Was very disappointed that was the most highly suggested dish.   this was a restaurant that came highly recommended, but fell wholly flat of expectations. apart from the view, which really carries the restaurant, the food and service are subpar, which is a generous description. the stuffed crab came in a shell that is reused and washed for the next unwitting victims, and the salmon tartare was clunky and unsophisticated at best. the grilled sardines provided some respite from the largely underwhelming experience that was dining here, but everything that accompanied it was mediocre at most. the potatoes were boiled and had apparently never been acquainted with salt. the salad was a overdressed and drunk in messy proportion. would not recommend unless you want to over pay for a view you could see for free a few feet away. as for service, if you expect to be treated with gender equality, forget it. the wine is offered to the man of the table to taste with the base assumption a woman would not be educated enough in the finer things to know wines. the check is offered similarly, because equality is a foregone conclusion.   A tourist restaurant. Food was ok but nothing great and certainly not worth the price. Fish was over cooked (what a waste) and most of the food was rather blend. Service was poor. Not very welcoming from the start. As someone who’s worked in hospitality, it’s very clear the staff are poorly trained and don’t really care. Service was slow and the lack of attention to individual tables was obvious. 3 servers for 12 tables in my area is plenty, 2 well trained servers would be able to handle it but they struggled with 3. Basic things like scanning tables weren’t done. I watched a server walk by 10 times and don’t look at any of the tables that clearly we’re finished, ready to order, had empty cups that should have been filled or asked for more drinks. None of this would be acceptable in any of the establishments I’ve been a part of. We waited 20min after a course was done with very clear signs we are done and no one noticed for so long. We asked how the lobster would be served and the server shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t know. A big time sale and the server couldn’t be bother to sell it so I passed on it and glad I did. Esperamos 20 minutos depois que um curso foi concluído com sinais muito claros de que terminamos e ninguém percebeu por tanto tempo. Perguntamos como seria servida a lagosta e o garçom encolheu os ombros e disse que não sabia. Uma grande venda e o servidor não se incomodou em vendê-la, então rejeitei e fiquei feliz por ter feito isso.

  Wonderful. Off the beaten track. On the waterfront, under Ponte 25 de Abril. Such an interesting location and so lively. The food is fresh and varied with seafood, shellfish and even a meat menu. I cannot say enough good things about our experience! Amazing! The front manager seated us promptly, was courteous and friendly, checked on us regularly. Our server read our minds and was just wonderful. I wasn't impressed with the food as we had some better experiences in Portugal but coupled with the phenomenal service I would absolutely recommend this place. We had the sardines (caution- not cleaned, so you get the guts and bones too), octopus salad (ok), calamari with olive oil and garlic (delicious), beef steak (good), mussels (ok), monkfish (really good). Try the vino Verde- very good choice!   We have been to so many restaurants in Lisbon and everyone has been wonderful except for this place. We tried to get a table however the waiter would not let us sit down near the water even though the restaurant was empty (it was opening for lunch).   We decided to have a quick lunch before our flight out of Lisbon. Staff was very accommodating with our luggages. We were seated on the deck overlooking the dock slip and bridge. Ordered grilled shrimp, clams and barnacles.. if you haven’t had it and love shellfish, I highly recommend giving this Portuguese delicacy a try. Barnacles are not cheap, reason for that is how it’s harvested. The texture reminds one of a steamer clam, without the sand. The taste will bring you immediately to the ocean.   I hate to even reduce one star. I paid about 56euros for myself and I definitely expected a better service. (The servers were friendly, but with only 3 tables they seemed quite slow) I ordered a clam as appetizer, it's not bad however I felt it's a bit overpriced given clam is really cheap seafood and the taste isn't special. (I had quite a few seafood in portugual by now, comparably this just doesn't cut it comparing to the previous places) The bacalhau though presently nicely, the fish came not very warm (I don't know if it's by design) with the vegetable oil and saltiness it became quite hard to finish. (I only managed to eat half of it) Overall, it's a alright dining place near the water front. If you are a foodie like me and are looking for a wow factor it's not there.   During our recent stay in Lisbon we ate twice at '5 Oceanos'. The first time we went for lunch and the following week we went back for dinner. On both occasions we were highly impressed. The food was very tasty, fresh and beautifully served. There was a great buzz in the atmosphere and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Whilst all staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, we would like to mention in particular Carlos and Diamantina, who went out of their way to make us feel special and welcome. We highly recommend '5 Oceanos' and will definitely return during our next stay in Lisbon. We would however suggest that you reserve a table beforehand, as it can get very busy.   We had the bacalao Portugese style and the clam shells with cilantro. The first dish was a main an really good. Good flavours, fresh and good portion, price quality definitely okay! The clams shells tasted really good but it were only the shells while it stood under “salad” on the menu. Still okay but then the price was quite high in my opinion for just a salad on the menu compared with a main course. Service was fast not to kind and the thing is that I don’t always care about the service as long as the food is great and as long as everyone is treated the same. Which was not the case here. The space| This restaurant is split into four parts, outside open air with a wonderful view over the River Tagus, then before you enter the restaurant there is also an outdoor seating area ( probably where I would sit if the weather was cooler and I still wanted to dine outdoors and see the view ), then you have the inside which is split into 2 downstairs part of the restaurant and upstairs. I would say that the decoration is like a nice elegant blue beach theme, with a display of some of the best fish and seafood, not to mention that the restaurant is super comfortable and inviting 😍 The staff| Friendly, attentive and helpful. They guided us through the menu and were so polite when we asked any questions 🥰 The food & drinks| I adore seafood and going to a place with such a fresh variety of seafood is always great. They obviously overcharge with ‘per kg fish’ and bring appetizers without asking (you will of course be charged for it) - hence, 4 stars only. However, the food was excellent and the wine recommendation even better… the razor clams were a multi-dimension of deliciousness. Try it, ask for recommendations and prices and be specific. The service was fast, professional but not the most friendly. The only thing I really disliked was being charged €9 for some bread and olives that we didn’t ask for.   Despite that all the seafood was fresh, price was on the high end but quality of cooking was on the low end. Definitely a trap for tourists. We got 1 turbot (€50), 4 oysters (€10), and 1 order of tiger shrimps with rice (€22). - Turbot was served with vegetables and potatoes that were blandly boiled and overcooked. - Scales of the turbot had not been removed thoroughly. - Oysters were ok. - Shrimps were ok but rice was flavorless in Portuguese standard. - Best dish of the night was the ham that was served when we were seated. The spot is premium, the food also, but the experienced waiters will make you wait if they feel you’re not a big earner and a big tipper. And this might ruin the whole experience like in our case.   Closer to 3.5 stars but get to 4 starts for nice service. The setting is right on the water close to the bridge so its pretty loud when the train goes by if you are sitting outside. Actually didn’t mind the noise and it added to the good vibe of the place. It’s a typical seaside restaurant so pretty casual. We had the plate with a variety of seafood - lobster, shrimp, tuna, sea bass, octopus. The tuna was very dry. The rest was fine. The wine was really cheap!   We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant, we booked the table through a mobile app and asked for a table outside with the view. Unfortunately we found it too noisy from the fact that it is located just under the bridge but the staff was very nice and relocated us to the upstairs with the table just by the window. The view was even better at sunset time and adding some candle to the table. Very romantic moments, thanks !   Amazing food but bad Service. My family and me waited for 1h 30min to get our Food. And we got no compensation at all. There was just one waitress that kept apologizing for the delay. That is why we went early. We were the second ones in there. The waiter that serviced our table called MR. PINTO was quite rude since he only gave out menus to the obvious adults and not to the perfectly literate teenagers, also in our group. Furthermore he wasn't very helpful in answering our questions. Half an hour before we got our food served a much larger group arrived and was seemingly served in an instant. As well as other guests which had arrived at a later time. When we finished our meal on of us wanted to have her plate which she hadn't finished prepared to take home but the waiter (Mr. Pinto) had forgotten about it after we had paid so we reminded him of it.
